Artanis I Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Which Kmart did you spot this at? I popped by Kmart at TTP (Adelaide) this afternoon, but the Power Miners set were not reduced Sorry to disappoint - Launceston. Only a couple of Power Miners sets there though, mostly Hero Factory. I only recently discovered this clearance shelf a fair way from the Lego, near the (Kmart quality) skateboard etc stuff. Great price. but more info please. Is this an Aussie store? Which store? :O oh my... haha yeah more info please!
Toye Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Its the warehouse in NZ. I think they ship to Australia as well. edit: Online store just sold out Edited November 2, 2010 by Toye
guy montag Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Its the warehouse in NZ. I think they ship to Australia as well. edit: Online store just sold out they actually do not. But if you have Kiwi friends or there is a NZ address forward shipping service, it would be excellent value.
lightningtiger Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Just had comfirmation that Target TTP has the City Advent Calendars for 49 bucks ! I might have to go and put one on layby eh ? Keep on shopping !
DRM Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Australia only, not NZ: BIG W this week are doing the current fire station for $94, the previous best price I had seen was $111 in Toys R Us. They are also offering various discounts ranging from $5 to $32 off of Harry Potter products and other fire kits. The sale officially starts tomorrow but in Karingal today the Fire station was already at $94. I cannot believe I did not buy it, if only for MOC parts, but we do have a lot of fire parts already. I would have brought the HP train at $89, even if just to use on the train layout rather than specifically as the Hogwarts Express but they did not have any. It seems I missed a treat with the Police station going for $88 last week. Worth keeping an eye on their catalogue each week.
TheDarkness Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 K-Mart have the Prince of Persia Battle of Alamut set now at $70
marvinblue Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Picked up an Advent Calender today at Blacktown (NSW) Target. They also had eleven almost full boxes of S2 minifigs on the shelf. Edited November 3, 2010 by marvinblue
Clone-Trooper Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) K-Mart have the Prince of Persia Battle of Alamut set now at $70 Awesome, thanks for the heads up, I went there on Tuesday but they were still $80 Now if only the SW Tantive set dropped lower then the $229 price. Cheers TheDarkness Edited November 3, 2010 by Clone-Trooper
QUaGi Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 In relation to the current TRU catalogue sale, can anyone shed light on how I claim this free Lego Club Membership offer? The deal in the current catalogue states: spend $40 or more on Lego in a single transaction, and you receive the Toy Story 3 Army Jeep polybag and free membership to the Lego Club. How's this? Staff at my local TRU informed me in order to claim the free membership, the receipt of the purchase needed to be scanned and emailed to Lego Club website. Sounds like nonsense to me! I've checked the website and no such information on claiming any TRU deal. Anyone know what the go is with this? What I purchased today: Star Wars General Grievous' Starfighter (8095) = $69.99 Space Police Lunar Limo (5984) = $49.98 $10 TRU gift voucher 2 x TS3 Army Jeep (asked for an extra set, and they were more than happy to oblige) TOTAL = $119.97
DarthSion Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I see BTTW has allot of older sets in, final dual 2, the old A, B and Y wings, 3 slave 1, 3 X wing and others. I also see the rumours are true, the AU has over taken the US dollar.

For every similar offer I've seen in Oz, you get given a membership application at the checkout. You fill that in and attach your receipt and send it off (the address is one the application) to Lego Club. The applications are on A5 sized pads. Both my cats love the Lego Club.

Peter's right, this is what they did at Myer earlier in the year. Just go back and ask for one, or otherwise you can probably use the normal application form and post in with receipt. Only one of my cats so far loves the Lego Club, although one of my other ones is a big fan of the Barnes and Noble kids club that gives one 30% off voucher which it looks like from today can be used on almost all lego, making some spectacular savings because their shipping for Lego is great.
Whittleberry Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 What's the deal with shipping from Barnes and Noble? On their site they have shipping costs for books, vhs, music, games/consoles, but no toys. Can anyone enlighten me?

Can anyone enlighten me? First product about $13 shipping, every one after that, $5 each. Just play with checkout feature to know for sure. But that's what I've been charged every time. It's a great deal on bigger sets. even the advent calendar on its own with no discounts works out cheaper than Target here.

marvinblue Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Has anyone heard any mail about the TRU Public Transport set? I went into my local TRU (Parramatta) today to see if it was on sale. To my dismay, they're all sold out and the staff were highly doubtful that more were on the way prior to Christmas. Do you think that boat has sailed all together? I certainly hope not.
lightningtiger Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Now for those of us in Adelaide, Galaxy Toys has been the home of pre-loved Lego, but today I found out that for at least a month they sell NEW...of course at the R.R.P. though, all the big 2010 sets are there minus PoP. Keep on shopping everyone !
DarthSion Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Anyone able to give me rough idea of slave 1, and clone turbo tank prices, just trying to figure out if these ebay prices are any good.
guy montag Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 (edited) Anyone able to give me rough idea of slave 1, and clone turbo tank prices, just trying to figure out if these ebay prices are any good. I think Myer was doing a special on Slave 1 for around $119. and for 2 days an extra 10% off this. not current now though. Edited November 6, 2010 by guy montag
DarthSion Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Ah ok, well I ended up getting a NISB slave 1 for $87 and 15 for shipping.
lightningtiger Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Not actually sales news, but the Adelaide Sunday Mail in the kids section are running a Lego colouring-in comp. with prizes being the latest fire copter and fire station sets. One might hope that we might one day get the mini sets like people score in the U.K. eh ? Keep on er....colouring-in !
DarthSion Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 If you want them, go buy them, they cheap enough on ebay, I saw a pommy selling them, had 2 baby walkers, the baby speeder, mini tie fighter, mini V19, and forget the other one, but like 50bucks aussie.
Inner Child Go! Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 At Target, starting on Thursday they have some nice specials on some city sets, but the big one is the city airport for only $99. (rrp is about 145) I actually I have one on layby for 116 dollars, so I am going to have to go get it changed. Also big yellow truck and heli+limo is 39, and the fire heli and the passenger plane is 48. Emperor Palpatines shuttle is also down to 79 bucks. Also there is a blanket 20% off, so says the almighty catalouge :)
