guy montag Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Myer one day sale tomorrow. 20% off toys Does the 20% off apply to the latest toy catalogue?
Clone-Trooper Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Does the 20% off apply to the latest toy catalogue? Usually now it doesn't, in the past it did but since Myer changed over to their new Computerised Checkout system I tried to get the last 25% off special to be deducted off the Lego set catalogue price. Unfortinately it still scanned at the normal Catalogue price, no further discounts.

Clone-Trooper Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Thanks Clone Trooper. Looks like the best we'll ever get is a buy 2 get 1 free deal. Buy 2 Get 1 Free seem's to be the best deal around, and it's the one I always hold out for. Edited December 14, 2010 by Clone-Trooper
DarthSion Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I got my lego club mag today, the snowman is a nice touch, better than last years cardboard ornaments. For the star wars fans, it says coming Jan 11, Genosis innovation (oopsy TLG its invasion) is a Totally Rips U-off exclusive.
slopemodified Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 TRU is having 20% off all Lego, starting tomorrow - Dec 15 - 21
jonwil Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 TRU is having 20% off all Lego, starting tomorrow - Dec 15 - 21 Great time to buy another City Public Transport if you want one. Other than stuff thats only at TRU, there is little point buying from TRU as the DJs and MYER %off sales provide better value anyway IMO.
slopemodified Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Some of the final Xmas catalogues... Big W - Dec 16-24 Specials include: 3221 Lego truck $37.87 3182 Airport $98 7208 Fire Station $98 (Available @ Target $89) Kmart - Dec 16-24 7592 Construct-a-Buzz $15 8863 Blizzard's Peak $59 8057 Wreck Raider $10 7741 Police Helicopter $10 3180 Tank truck $25 7639 Camper $25 7213 Off-Road Fire Truck & Fireboat $59
slopemodified Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 TRU is selling 66357 Fire Superpack for $120 (rrp $180) Starting Dec 21, 25% off TS, SP3, and Racers
Hewman Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I saw several Grand Emporia at David Jones Adelaide today, get them while you can at the 25% off price.
jonwil Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 That price for the fire super-pack is a bargain considering the RRP of the fire station alone is 139.99. So you are basically getting the other items for free (34.99 for the fire truck) As of late, TRU seems to be having some nice sales and some very un-TRU like prices on stuff.
KartoffelViking Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I just came back from Big W at Golden Grove (Adelaide). They had two Power Miners Titanium Rigs on the shelves, still scanning at $50. I can't believe they're still around at that price, so I hung around for a while, waiting to point it out to some random parent looking for a great LEGO yule present. But they never came, so I left (but I picked up a LEGO Sort & Store on the way out). So, if you're still looking for the Titanium Rig, Big W at Golden Grove might still have them
Izzy Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Oooooh that Sort'n'Store is awesome. Why am I such a sucker for LEGO merchandise. How much did you pay for it? Not that Amazon price of $57 something?

Not that Amazon price of $57 something? No, it was $37.74 Can't wait to try it out, I've got a couple of boxes of LEGO I need to sort through.

It's a new release, isn't it? As for sales info, I was at Kmart in Garden City, WA, buying the Construct-a-Buzz and saw the TS3 Train and Offroad Power going for $99 each. As for sales info, I was at Kmart in Garden City, WA, buying the Construct-a-Buzz and saw the TS3 Train and Offroad Power going for $99 each. It's indeed a new release, they were just unboxing them and looking for a place to put them on the shelves when I was there. It's a pretty big box, so no doubt it would hold a 1000 bricks. Thanks for the info on the Offroad Power, I've been eyeing that set for a while, but have been holding off until the price is right.
GI blockage Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 oo.com.au has the Toy Story Construct-a-Buzz on sale for $20 for the next 22 hours. +$10 postage I think. Yesterday I saw in Kmart Broadway (Syd) a couple of SP3 sets with 'clearance' tags - Space Police Central for $90 and Undercover Cruiser for $40 or so. But I doubt they'll still be around to get reduced any further, the shelves around town are beginning to look bare...
KartoffelViking Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 [snip] But I doubt they'll still be around to get reduced any further, the shelves around town are beginning to look bare... Which hopefully means they're getting ready to stock up on series 3 minifigs, pharao's quest and other new goodies

Clearance before Christmas at Kmart isn't as fortuitous for us Afols as Clearances mid year. The closer we come to Christmas, stuff at RRP even gets bought out. on the news front. I did notice a City Farm at $69.00 price ticket at TRU. They were all sold though. Is it 20% off Lego at TRU or just Duplo Lego?

dotmike Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Yes, it is 20% off all Lego and Duplo, according to the latest catalogue. The catalogue is a bit ambiguous as it has both the LEGO and the Duplo logos side by side, which could imply "LEGO Duplo" or "LEGO and Duplo". However, inside an actual TRU store, where I am now, all the LEGO scans at full RRP, and the returns desk counter staff confirmed it was 20% off Duplo only. Just clarifying in case someone else wasted their time.
slopemodified Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) I can confirm that Kmart is putting SP3 sets on clearance sale: (sighted in Cannington, WA) 5981 Raid VPR $11 5983 Undercover Cruiser $41 5984 Lunar Limo $48 (No SP Central though, or I would have bought it ) I see Big W is advertising the Sort & Store now, has anyone tried it out? Just clarifying in case someone else wasted their time. Yes, I agree, now that I look at it again, the catalogue is ambiguous. I thought it was Lego and Duplo and didn't give it a second thought. When I went during the sale on Atlantis sets, it scans at RRP, but the discount was taken off at the register. Sorry about that misinformation. Edited December 18, 2010 by slopemodified
Tony Almeida Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Those clearance prices are rather underwhelming. I recall that during July/August Target were selling the VPR and Undercover Cruiser for those prices.
dotmike Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Sorry about that misinformation. Easy mistake to make, I was certainly open to misinterpreting it too! Almost as if TRU somehow intended it that way... Their little "deception" did get me in the store, but got me out of the store pretty soon after I realised I'd been conned. Didn't matter, as I was been doing the rounds after arriving in Sydney for Christmas anyway, and only had to walk into Target to find a 20% off LEGO sale. (Or was it 25% off all toys in Target? Don't know, couldn't find anything in the dregs of 2010 LEGO worth scanning!)
slopemodified Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Those clearance prices are rather underwhelming. I recall that during July/August Target were selling the VPR and Undercover Cruiser for those prices. They are unsatisfying, I wouldn't buy them. Perhaps 'clearance' is not suitable.
