lightningtiger Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Searching 2 Targets and 3 Kmarts, I can safely say they all have the 15 buck and 29 buck Ninjago spinner packs, and those 3 sets on sale at Kmart next week are instock now.....but nothing else ! By the way, it appears David Jones stores are receiving stocks of the police dog box, van, truck and boat sets....of course at normal R.R.P. that Lego use......Fingers crossed for some % off sales this year ! Keep on looking !
Brickus Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but here is the Mr Toys Catalogue it has some release dates. Edited January 7, 2011 by Brickus
TeufelHund Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Sadly I too had all my Pharaoh's Quest preorders from B&N cancelled - very annoying given the savings. Has anyone see them turn up in Aussie shops yet? S@H has them up albeit for the usual rip off prices.
jonwil Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) MYER are having a one-day-only sale on Saturday the 8th of January. Among other thing is a 25% off Toys (including LEGO) Notable Items seen in MYER Perth CBD: New Star Wars New City Police leftover Fire Brigade stock leftover Imperial Flagship stock The best thing though is that they had a dozen or more Emerald Nights on the shelf with a price sticker of $150. This isn't old stock or lay-by returns, this is genuine new stock. (at least as far as I could tell it is) I for one intend to be there when they open (or soon after) to spend my xmas gift voucher present on the new police station. The rumor I heard about Pharaoh's Quest is that its comming to Australia as a store exclusive (which store I have no idea) Edited January 7, 2011 by jonwil

This isn't old stock or lay-by returns, this is genuine new stock. (at least as far as I could tell it is) ARGH! How did you find that out? I was in there tonight, put one of the Emerald Nights on lay-by, definitely new stock, they had about 30 of them. 15 on the shelf and another 15 in the cages to the side under all the new Star Wars sets. Unfortunately I've got to go to Albany early tomorrow and I won't be able to do any swapsies. Just rang the store and the guy wouldn't confirm or deny the sale, but sort of hinted that his manager said there might be something happening tomorrow and it might be a toy sale. If I cancelled my lay-by I'd lose $6.50 service fee and if I took out a new lay-by on the sale price I'd cop another one. So $149 -25% is $111.75 + $13 = $124.75. Still a $25 saving on a set that I REALLY want. Argh, what to do, what to do?

LT, I hope you're right about Pharaoh's Quest as that will just mean it's a short term exclusive before other stores get it, which would be perfect in my book, or if they're 20% off at Target I can grab them all then. If you go to TTP early, can you pop on here later and let us know if there are any new sets there. I have a $10 birthday voucher from them, but when I was there a few days ago, stock levels weren't very good and nothing new. Cheers Hewman Edit: For anyone on the fence about the Imperial Flagship, I say get it while you can tomorrow, assuming your Myer store has some in stock. I've seen them at a couple of SA stores in the past week. I just finished building it tonight after buying it mid-year and it is absolutely stunning and a brilliant build. jonwil Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I found out about it because a guy handed me a sale sheet with all the different discounts (including toys and DVDs) when I walked in the store after work (from the train station walkway)

Ah well, looks like I'm going to miss out. =[ Edited January 7, 2011 by craym0nk
slopemodified Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) I was just in Myer Cannington, and I got the 25% off right there! There were signs put up saying the sale was until Jan 8. I was there at 5:15pm. Maybe they had just put them up before closing... I had no idea it was a 1-day sale. It's strange, since I was in another Myer earlier today and there were no sale signs And I didn't receive any emails from Myer about this sale either I saw a bunch of Emerald Nights and Imperial Flagships (opened boxes) on the shelf. They had the new sets out as well: Star Wars - Bounty Hunter gunship, Mandalorian packs, Imperial V-Wings, Battle for Naboo and T-6 Jedi Shuttles City - Police minifigs, Police dog unit, Prisoner transport, Police truck, and the Station. Ah the mini fig head sort & store, totally forgot to grab one of those! I was on holiday in Victoria when they came out over Xmas and didn't fancy trying to haul one back to Perth on the plane. I've only been to BigW Success in WA and haven't noticed them on the floor. Can anyone tell me if they've seen them recently in any of the Perth BigW stores? Went to BigW Belmont - no sort & stores , nothing else interesting. Edited January 7, 2011 by slopemodified
KartoffelViking Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Target TTP (Adelaide) had a couple of the new board games this morning; Ramses Return and NinjaGo Somewhat interestingly, Ramses Return is not listed at Australian LEGO shop: http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=595&d=70&icmp=SHHomeT2_LGS Edited January 8, 2011 by KartoffelViking

lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Went to Myer Marion today, scored 25% off prisoner transport and clone BP, but the police dog box and the rest of the 2011 1st 1/2 SW missing.....ah, well.....TTP for a layby - fingers crossed they have stock ! Oh, before I forget they had 2 Emerald Night's left ! That's Myer Marion those in Adelaide ! Brick On Everyone !

I've seen them at a couple of SA stores in the past week. I just finished building it tonight after buying it mid-year and it is absolutely stunning and a brilliant build. Well I took your advice, went to Myer first thing this morning and bought the last Imperial Flagship. Actually it was my wife who paid for it as she wanted several other toys as well. That is the second LEGO set she has bought me this week, I also got the Space Police 5974 from catch of the day. After we left Myer my wife said "Did you know that was more than $200", yes I certainly did! Our Myer did not have any new 2011 sets, no police or anything else not even Emerald night. Cheers Brett

Myer Canberra Centre had a dozen, now they have nine (guilt from depriving the kiddies be damned). $112 each with the discount. Picked up Sonic Boom too. 25% off is close enough to US RRP to make competitive with online. I had a chance to have a good natured chat with the sales lady about getting some track in, which was helped by a nearby parent and child saying they were upgrading from Thomas the Tank Engine and that bought ten's of metres of track for that. Anyway it's great to pick up multiples of the superb Emerald Night so I can put a nice set of coaches together and now I've got plenty of locomotive bits for future MOC'ing. However I've also had to give myself the "you're spending to much on LEGO" talk. I'll have to take it easy for a while but I've got plenty of LEGO goodness to be getting on with now, including finally taking some photos of my road-train that I finished before Xmas. :classic: Edited January 8, 2011 by AussieJimbo
jamonlego Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Myer Brisbane city had new police and all new star wars sets (non-exclusive) - plenty of emrald nights - I got one of each from christmas monies except the gungan set - this is still way overpriced compared to US prices (even with 25% off) I noticed target in the city had the new star wars sets as well and police too - still full price though Nothing new in Toyworld yet Edited January 8, 2011 by jamonlego
AussieJimbo Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) I can confirm that the new stock of Emerald Night's has the instructions/stickers in a separate bag with a bit of cardboard to keep them flat. Nice little improvement from LEGO. :classic: Edited January 8, 2011 by AussieJimbo

Cheers Brett Good move, Brett. Now if your wife wants some alone time, all she has to do is suggest you build the imperial flagship, it will keep you occupied for many hours. Also, I don't know how you build, but this set has no numbered bags so it's definitely worth spending an hour or two beforehand doing an ordered sort of pieces.
jonwil Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Went to Perth CBD (and was there when they opened). They had the police station but not the other stuff I wanted (the minifig pack and big police truck). Talked to the MYER guy who looked up the police truck on his system and ended up going to Carousel where I picked up the station, minifig pack and police truck (having already bought the prisoner transport van) Wasn't interested in an Emerald Night (as I already have one and one is enough for me since I dont generally build train :)

I'd argue there's more LEGO board games than other LEGO sets Anyway, they now also have Frog Rush and Banana Balance on the shelves. Edited January 8, 2011 by KartoffelViking
lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Now everyone check your local Toyworld if they are doing the next catalogue sale....why, you may ask....IT'S ALL LEGO ! Most Ninjago sets there - normal price though. Selected 2010 city sets reduced.....i.e. 7938 down to 199 and 7208 down to 119, all police minus the two exclusives and copter. Anyway, had a fun day shopping, a clone BP, dog box and prisoner van...plus a Ninjago 10buck set for my son from Marden Toyworld......and finally for 8 bucks one of these...... Me, happy today ! lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Thanks heaps! Never heard of Galaxy Toys before, but will check it out. They have always dealt in secondhand Lego and other collectable toys, but now 70% of the front of the shop is new Lego. They are only open on Fridays and weekends, Saturday is best day for Lego, the owner is in at that time and knows what's comming in new and old. Brick On !
