Thanks very much for posting those dates, DL. My catalogue didn't come today after all
I really want the Farm and Indy sets so looks like I will be making a S@H order in early Jan. And of course there's the Medieval Market set too

That is so weird about Pirates. I think someone said in Europe they will be around in May? If so I would have expected them to be here. And they were in the leaked European catalogue ages ago as well... Sob... It's Castle 08 all over again. Makes me feel better about getting them from the States though if I'd have to wait 6+ months for them to be in stores.

Suprising I got it first since I live in QLD and you live in Sydney! :tongue:

Well they have to ship LEGO here, Unlike some other countries. We seem to be one of the last on the planet to get LEGO. :hmpf_bad:

Also the US Market is bigger & has a higher demand...So they wanna get stuff there early...

Also shops like Target, Kmart & BigW have these for free usually in the LEGO Aisle

Well I've never seen catalogs at Dj's & TRU but pretty much everywhere else. :look:

Also normally the catalogs come to the people with subscriptions first then the shops get them. :look:

Next time DJs, TRU or Myer has a sale, look out for the Lego Club membership offer - as said above, usually you spend so much and get the $14.95 membership free. This includes a mag 4 times a year but also the Jan and June catalogues :wub: which don't always appear in store - I never saw the second half 08 one anywhere around Syd. If you're lucky, you also get free gifts like Lego gift tags this year or a small promo set last year. It's worth joining. Over a year I usually collect 3 or 4 or more offers to join so if anyone needs them I can sign them up in future... I don't have any at the moment but will post in this thread when I do.

EDIT: I see Mr Legois has answered the question, but the membership offer will stand if I get extras in future :classic:

Big heads up for you guys tonight!. Myer has a "buy 1 toy, get %50 off 2nd toy" offer today only, and some stores are open (in QLD at least) till 9pm!. It also works in conjunction with other existing offers, so that means you could buy the $139 7676 Republic Gunship and get a second one for only $70 bucks!. Thats $210 for 2 Gunships!.

Unfortunately it's for Myer One members only, but I believe you can actually sign up on the spot and receive a temp card to get access to the offer.

The bad thing is that when I went in there at lunch today, it was like a Lego drought had struck the toy section. They basically had nothing, and this Myer store in the CBD usually has the best selection in Brisbane. No police stations, no MM eagle bases or rhino vehicles, no Green Grocers or Cafe Corners or anything, only 1 knocked-around Gunship left (zero AT-TE's) and a wall of Magnadroid fighters, plus the usual Exo-force and Duplo stuff. Couldn't see any Technic!. They didn't even have any big Hasbro SW items left!

edit: oops...just saw the old myer catalog. you're right... $139...or $210 for 2 gunships!!! crap!! hopefully tomorrow they have one for non-members. too late to go get a card now. that's a pretty good deal.

here are more deals involving SW. the rogue shadow is now $60. so you can get 2 for $90. quite a steal really.

another good deal would be the EF golden tower (golden katana...yummy) $60 for 2!

For those who don't know it's like one of the best shopping centres ever (IMO)

Great for Lego because it has TRU, Myer, K-mart and some other place! :thumbup:

Definately going to try and get the $25 MM set :thumbup: :wub: if it's there which i'll cry if it isnt :cry_sad:

I remember when it first came out at Big W the Chopper started at the $48 price point. Just a special price like the Police Station at various stores.

Btw why does the catalogue (which I noticed yesterday) it has "special purchase" where the impulses are :wacko:

i have no idea why. if you want to get the impulse sets, just drop by target and get them for $3.99 now instead of $4.88 in bigw. plenty of them around. especially the city ones.

Awwww..... *note to self buy ALL LEGO at end-of-year SALES! or atleast 99%...instead of 80%* Err anyway....Im pretty pissed, Seeing as I got the Speedboat for $45...Well I guess its not that much...If I didn't have the AT-AT [im not regreting it] I would get the mobile command centre for $96

Also in the '09 Catalog it only shows the little Agents sets! Giving me the impression that the big ones aren't going to be around as long as the small ones.. :cry_sad: :hmpf_bad:

If I get anything it would be CG Chopper...But I would love a Turbo Car for $60 *drools* :hmpf_bad:
