Just confirming, these two sets are Toyworld exclusives. Previously only available from S@H with their hefty shipping charges.

I picked up one of each from the Claremont store in WA, they had 4-5 of each on display. Prices where full Aus RRP.

They arn't Toyworld exclusives. They just got the jump on the rest of the independants. We will be getting them in about 4 weeks i believe.

The store owner made this claim, for everyone else's sake, I hope he was wrong as they are great sets.

I received part of my B&N order yesterday (took just under two weeks).

It was packaged well in an outer box with large-air-bubble protection (not sure if there is a word to describe this).

It was Flo's V8 cafe and I payed $70 delivered (I didn't apply the 30% discount to this set).

I am still waiting on the King's Castle which I applied the discount to (took it down to $60) but have received emails to say it is on the way.

Hope you get your Mindstorm's kit.

It was worth the risk for the $ saving and I will probably shop with them again if there are significant savings to be had, just no pre-orders.

Cheers

Inger

What shipping option did you choose? Did they say they send your King's Castle at a later date?

I ordered once before from them & it took a few weeks, but packaging was excellent. I can't remember if it came within the suggested timeframe or not, 2 weeks sounds good.

My last order took nearly 3 weeks with the basic shipping option. I have two lots coming this time, one is standard and the next (my Mindstorm set) through International Priority. The first lot shipped on the 26th of May, and the second on the 1st of June. Will be interesting to see which comes first

OK Shopforme, we don't keep secrets here so spill the news about Fridays set :-)

Hey, if you don't ask you don't get.....

It starts tomorrow at 11.00am, good luck ;)

I received the same email although they told me it had been shipped on the 26th of May. My credit card was charged on the 30 may. This is very poor from them to do this then today tell us it is cancelled.

I am not happy.

Good news I hope. I just received an email from their customer service stating it had indeed been sent on the 26may and it should be here 15june. And that the 30% had been applied.

Let's wait and see.

Quickly some of the smaller Toyworld's in S.A. have the two winter sets and the four kingdom's sets in stock.....Marden and Murray Bridge.....I know they are 80 km's apart but wouldn't you travel for Lego ?

When K-Mart had a the UCS Milennium Falcon on sale a couple years ago for $700 I drove from Brisbane to Tweed Heads to pick up the last one.. A couple hundred km round trip, but definately worth it!

B&N have removed Mindstorms :( I had added it to my cart with intention to buy ext week, but alas it's now gone. That price (<200) delivered was almost unbeatable. Damn my cautious delay.

Yeah unfortunately they were removed a few days ago. All up mine cost $211 delivered

Not that great a deal. It is only $250us. Some of the other specials looked ok.

But good to some mire Lego options available.

Actually it is pretty good. It is $260 US RRP, but then you have to get it over here, and it is a big heavy set. There are only 9 Bricklink stores selling a brand new one cheaper, and that is before factoring in any postage. It definitely is a good option for those who don't like to purchase overseas

Hi

I chose the cheapest option and they shipped each set separately.

Got the second one yesterday and expecting the final one (castle) early next week.

So far I'm very happy :0)

TRU 20% off FULL PRICED ITEMS Saturday 11th to Monday 13th.

Thanks for the alert! Good for those who want to get some of the recent sets but their Myer is holding out on displaying them and they don't have a David Jones in their local shopping centre (Hurstville comes to mind) or do but it also doesn't have them in (Miranda joins it in the useless group!). Might use it to get a Hillside House. Or may wait until a 20%+10% MyerOne sale and get it with a few other things I'm hanging out for where the extra dollars will add up into a decent saving.

Good that TRU is joining the sale party. Where they say "full-priced items", does anyone know how that works for something in one of their racks out the front (not LEGO) where the price is advertised as "was 89.99, now 69.99"? That's sort of a price change rather than a temporary discount, so really the new price should be discounted. I suppose they might revert to the original price for coupon purposes. Oh well, worth trying.

Also: Barnes & Noble - I have an order 2 weeks and counting using the second above cheapest shipping option (15.98). I don't think it makes a difference (between this and cheapest 12.98 - it's still snail mail USPS). If you're in a hurry and/or hate waiting week after week for the postman, choose express, which uses a courier. The impatience cure might be worth the extra $20.

Would that 20% off coupon for TRU work on the $60 X-Wing they have?

You can only try. If the register rings up 20% off the original price then some gentle persuasion with the checkout guy/girl will usually get the desired result. Having young kids in tow, capable of doing sad puppy dog eyes on command, may help your cause. "Sorry Billy, looks like you don't have enough pocket money for this THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF ASSORTED LEGO, this week." OK, maybe not, I don't have access to such tactical devices regardless.

I suspect MYER is withholding the new sets for a while (maybe until their big %off sale is over or maybe until their big toy sale in a few weeks or whatever).

As of today, MYER in perth CBD had no new stock at all.

David Jones had plenty of new stock including Star Wars, the light house and the hillside house (bought a hillside house after checking Bricklink etc and finding that it wasnt possible to get one for less than the $80 DJs wanted, even by buying from overseas and having it shipped here)

Of note for Cars fans is that they had a number of copies of the Big Bentley Bust Out with a price tag of $50 on them (which is clearly a mistake on DJs part as that's LESS than the US RRP). So if you want a Big Bentley Bust Out, go to your nearest DJs ASAP.

Does anyone know of an AU release date or RRP for the NinjaGo Blacksmith Shop set? (and who is getting it if its an exclusive)

Still looking for a PQ Golden Staff Guardians if anyone has seen one :)

Yes well if it comes through it will be a very good buy.

I just checked my credit card and it was $198.73, at the time I think the US$ total was $211.35

Come on postie!

I wouldn't get too excited about this...I have already heard of two people being told they can't buy it at that price..... It scans at full RRP and their standard line seems to be "Sorry we can't sell it to you as there is a price discrepancy so it has to be withdrawn from sale".

Going to try at my local store tomorrow anyway but I don't like my chances. Although AFAIK if it is marked at that price then realistically they should sell it to you at that price (It's not a sticker for a different set or anything, the price sticker that says $49.95 clearly shows the correct set number).

Anyone seen any Myers in Sydney with the new SW sets? Both the ones near me do not have it out.

Myers at Warringah Mall had the new SW sets today.

I guess it all depends on if they have signed up to Australian scanning code of conduct.

I cant speak for DJ's but where i work we have to strictly adhere and if not then boy are the fines nice for someone.

www.ara.com.au/asi/scanning_code.pdf

3. THE ITEM-FREE AND MULTIPLE PURCHASES POLICIES

3.1 If the scanned price of an item is higher than the shelf price or other

displayed price, the customer shall be entitled to that item free.

3.2 Where multiple items bearing identical bar codes are purchased and scan

at a price higher than the shelf price or other displayed price, the

customer shall be entitled to the first item free and the others at the

lower (that is, displayed) price.

3.3 Where a difference between a shelf or displayed price and the item price

file is identified, the discrepancy will be remedied immediately by the store.
