dotmike Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 (edited) 20% off LEGO at Myer for this Saturday only. Thanks for the info! Seems to be part of a larger storewide sale with varying % discounts on stuff. Pity there's no extra 10% for MyerOne cardholders this time. With 1 day only (rather than Target's full week) and at 20% only (compared to a previous Myer 25% or the MyerOne 20%+10%) it's pretty uninspiring. Unless anyone wants the new red cargo train? Hope there's higher than 20% sales to come. Edited September 9, 2011 by dotmike
TanTile Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 (edited) The new Toyworld Catalogue is online, No huge savings but for those who are interested if you spend $70 or more on LEGO in the Catalogue you will receive a free LEGO Club membership and a free keyring. lightningtiger Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 The only thing that made me smile today was getting 20% off at Myers TTP on one 3677 red cargo train, lay-by of course - I'm not that rich to buy outright any more. This morning they still had plenty, don't know about the end of the day though ?
dotmike Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 20% off at Myers TTP on one 3677 red cargo train, lay-by of course If they do have a higher discount sale, you'll be able to get it at the cheaper price, right? Not sure how long this train will last. The yellow one seemed to linger forever (always taunting me to buy another one to build a Tangara!). I'm not a fan of the look of this one though I think the play value would be higher. May have missed an opportunity today.

May have missed an opportunity today. I think the new train will be an October/November special. They are not going to sell many at $295. I think it will be similar to the yellow cargo train and go on special then have the extra 10% off for the first few days and be had for under or around $200. It is only $160 US.

lightningtiger Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Yeah, I wouldn't be worrying about missing out on that one dotmike, don't forget Myer is ever reliable for having a 20+% off Lego sale about once a month! Yes, but there are limited stocks of the 3677, for a fact Myer told me how many were coming to South Australian stores....less than a hundred....much less.
razo999 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Was at big w Campsie today and picked up the minifig display case from lego. Large sized for around $19. it is the official one from Lego that you can stack. Just mentioning it because I didn't even know was out.
Lord Of The Fries Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 My local Target had Cad Bane's Speeder for 80$ and it was 20% of so the final price was about 64$, it was tempting but I had to say no becuase I am saving for 10188 and have forced myself not to buy anything until I have the money .
dotmike Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Yes, but there are limited stocks of the 3677, for a fact Myer told me how many were coming to South Australian stores....less than a hundred....much less. I think you're right, Tiger, as it is a Myer exclusive whereas the yellow cargo train is everywhere. Also, for what it's worth, I was Myer Sydney City today and they only had two of the red 3677, but this is a store that normally has many multiples of everything out on display, especially new stuff. They have the space - it's one of the largest LEGO caches in the state (home of the gigantic LEGO harbour bridge) - and still had six Queen Anne Revenges although that's commonly sold out in other places (except TRU who haven't had it on sale for yonks). Still, I'll hold out until a 25% or 20%+10% MyerOne, or else hope it turns up at one of the usual suspects for importing economically.
Notorious Guf Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I'm sorry if this has been mentioned previously, as I really can't remember seeing it. The new Kingdoms sets have arrived at K-Mart. All at RRP I believe, so not really a sale Post I'm afraid.
dotmike Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Toys R Us 20% off LEGO starting 14 September.

I was out @ cambelltown adn saw 1 yellow 16 minifig case and it was under $20. I payed #30 for a large and $15 for a small ones out at Toys R us, waht a rip off. I only bought them as I thought they would be Toy R us exculsives. If I only knew they where comming out @ other retailers I would have waited.
jonwil Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 MYER Perth CBD had about 30 or so of the red cargo train as well as stock of the technic backhoe loader, bucket truck and flatbed truck. The only 2011 technic set I dont remember seeing in stores yet is the Unimog.
lightningtiger Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Kmart on Thursday only has city space shuttle (yet again) along with the turbo shredder (Ninjago) at 35 bucks each and 49 bucks for the earth dragon defence. Pity not anything else !
dotmike Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) Toy sale at Myer starting Thursday, 15 September. LEGO is on the last page of the above catalogue. Doesn't appear to be a % sale, just specific prices on certain sets. 3677 Red Cargo Train is $235 down from $295, which is basically the same 20% off it was last Saturday. Others: Technic Flat Bed Truck $127 down from $159. Alien Mothership $79 down from $99. Alien Conquest $39.95 down from $49.95. Ninjago Fire Temple $159 down from $199. (DON'T buy this if you have access to a Big W - it's $144 there every day.) Star Wars Ewok Attack $39.95 down from $49.95. Star Wars Podracers $119 down from $149. City Marina $63.95 down from $79.95. City Train Station $63.95 down from $79.95. City Power Boat & Police Boat both $39.95 down from $49.95. No mention of an extra 10% for MyerOne cardholders... yet. TanTile Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Hello again, Just got back from K-mart and they had 7947 Prison Tower Rescue on Clearence for $59 down from $89 The other set i saw on clearence was the 8639 Big Bentley Bust Out for $99 I'm not sure what the RRP is for that one.
I Scream Clone Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 My local Kmart had the City of Atlantis for $95 on clearance on Sunday, has the price dropped this week to something closer to 69US?
dotmike Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 My local Kmart had the City of Atlantis for $95 on clearance on Sunday, has the price dropped this week to something closer to 69US? Kmart's (yellow sticker) clearance price on that set is actually $89 and it's been like that for a month. So that store was overcharging relative to other Kmarts. Anyway, Big W has always sold that set for $96. The prices aren't being adjusted downwards to meet the US RRP. Sets are discounted when they aren't selling at their normal price to help clear them more quickly. If Kmart doesn't clear that set at $89 (my local Kmart has had 4 or 5 of them sitting unmoved for a month), it'll probably drop further. Kmart dropped the Battle of Alamut in stages from $140 RRP to $70 before they finished clearing it from all stores. I bought one at the lower price!

Yes, I was aware of how Kmart progressively lowers the clearance stock till its cleared (I may not have got that point across in the last post) Just seeking if anyone has seen it drop even lower still. Thanks for the heads up that its been that price for a month though.
TheDarkness Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Can anyone give me anymore info on the minifig cases? I just got all the season 5 minifigs and am thinking of a way to display them. I might have to go back and get the other seasons too now!
I Scream Clone Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 S@H is giving away SW magnet sets when you purchase the larger 10000 sets by the look of it.
dotmike Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Just seeking if anyone has seen it drop even lower still. Thanks for the heads up that its been that price for a month though. No problem! Will keep you posted on if/when it drops further. Even though Atlantis rates only slightly higher on my personal interest level than Mars Mission, and below even Ninjago, I've got my eye on that set for its pieces. It'll have to get to $60 (half RRP) to fork over any cash for it though.
wokajablocka Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) Can anyone give me anymore info on the minifig cases? I just got all the season 5 minifigs and am thinking of a way to display them. I might have to go back and get the other seasons too now! Hay Darkness, you can pick up the minifig cases @ Toys r us for $30 for tha 16 fig case and $15 for the 8 fig case. I was @ Big W and saw the last one on the shelf for $20 for the 16 fig case, $10 cheaper than Toys R us mark up. If I knew earlyer that they where @W Big W for a 2/3 of the price I would have go them there. I would get in as fast as you can as stock is very limited. I picked up a 16 and 8 fig case in black but thats all they had left in black otherwise I would have bought more. Im hoping these will be popular and will return next year like the minifig sort and store head. Has anyone else found them @ any other retailer? FYI lovely Emily over @ bricksdownunder has but up some Aussie sales news including a nice table showing where to purchase Star Wars advent calenders including prices and postage to help you get the best deal. Thanks Emily! Edited September 14, 2011 by wokajablocka
