Hi,

david jones have 25% off til sunday

If I hadn't just spent ~$200 on a new computer monitor and new keyboard, I would SO go and buy a Pet Shop right now.

Myer has a new Toy Catalogue starting Thursday, 1 December 2011.

(snip)

It has the Winter Toy Shop at $89, which is notable because this was formerly an independents' exclusive (Toyworld, etc) in Australia.

A girl pictured playing with Lego, isn't that unusual? I can understand since it's the Toy Shop, but still it seems rare.

Does anyone know if there's an extra 10% for Myer One card holders.

It doesn't look like it, according to this flyer I got.

What are they charging?

RRP for the Flagship is $280. With 25% off it would be $210

Shopforme.com.au has Pet Shop modular as their daily blitz today (Thursday) for $229, 15% off rrp.

Ps> There should be more girls advertised playing with Lego - seeing non-Duplo/Belville Lego commonly listed under 'Boys Toys' really ticks me off....

Yeah, not as good a deal def. I picked mine up from Bricklink, was ~$180 delivered but would definitely have snapped up that DJs deal if I hadn't...

Kmart has finally put the PotC sets on clearance, hopefully they will drop to a decent price in a little-ish while.

When we are talking clearance is this 20% or 50% off?

I scored my Pet Shop at DJs Parramatta on Wednesday. They didn't have any on display, but a lady on staff produced one from beyond a magical doorway, seemed to know the drill. Unfortunately neither of us were aware of the bonus snowman deal with $50 Lego purchase.

At DJs I also scored a Lego "Brick Storage Carry Case" which I never knew existed, they are rather cute yet useful. $35 pre-discount and they come in red & yellow.

There seems to be quite a few discounts going around at the moment.

Plenty of Pet Shops at DJs Adelaide, Fire Brigades too, although they're marked back up to tthe original price of $299 before discount, they were $200 there a while ago. Is the snowman they're giving the way the same as the one that came free with the lego club magazine last year?

There was a time when I used to go nuts over Kmart clearance items, because the prices easily dropped to 50% off very quickly, but these days they seem to start their LEGO clearance items at normal prices, before dropping the price a seemingly random amount at a seemingly random time

However, some of the smaller PotC sets, Isla de la Muerta and Fountain of Youth, were about 25 % off RRP (not sure how much they were off normal Kmart prices).

On a side note, the City of Atlantis set has been on clearance at Kmart for the last few months now, but the price hasn't dropped from $89 in that time

It's set 30008... not sure what set came free last year... but you can verify though. :)

As of today, there are no Pet Shops or Grand Emporiums on the shelf at DJs in the Perth CBD. No shortage of Fire Brigades though.

Also, Toyworld in Rockingham (if you can get down that way) has 30% off all LEGO (or so says the TV commercial I saw earlier)

I just found it on ebay for around $67 shipped, that not too bad but I dont know what they are going for in the shops.

The k-mart I checked out in SA had pretty poor 'clearance' discounts on PotC. I think the tavern set was $79 and Whitecap Bay was $128 (which I thought might be their regular price).
