KartoffelViking Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Surely with all these new sets coming in and demanding shelf space, kmart will be keen to get rid of their already reduced clearance items. I'm hanging out for further discounts on PotC and older ninjago sets, so please let us know if you see any. I had a looksie at kmart this afternoon, but nothing exciting except series 4 minifigs and hero factory 3.0 canisters are now on clearance (but still at their normal prices).
Splat Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Just letting you know that Series 6 CMF have landed in Target Bourke St (Melbourne CBD). They had half a dozen boxes, but they had all been filtered through already. I managed to 15 out of 16, but just couldn't find the last one. It looks like the Roman is going to be hard to find, as it is a good 'army builder'. They also had some new Ninjago and City sets, but I didn't pay much attention to them.
jonwil Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 S6 at TRU TTP at 3 for $10. Thanks for the tip, a quick call to all 4 TRU stores in WA shows that Joondalup and Morley have stock. Will be going to one or both very soon :)

Brickmamba Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Was at Chaddys today, they had a couple boxes of S6, 2012 City and Ninjao sets Oops forgot to mention this was in TRU and they have the CMF 3 for $10 deal going on
wesker Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Has there been any news on when the Naboo Fighter is going to hit retail?
Civic Bossman Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Toyworld Success (WA) has new Ninjago and City sets (Fire plane, Police Chinook, Police HQ, Dog Squad, Police Car, Fire Quad, 4WD Chase, Ambulance, Tipper, Caravan and Garbage truck), at around RRP Big W Cockburn Central has S6 CMF (was only about 10 very heavily "felt" bags left) @ $4.74, and some new City (Police HQ, Dog Squad, Police Car, 4WD) at their usual "just below retail" price
jonwil Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 What is the best (i.e. cheapest) way to get the new City Vehicles (ambulance, car & caravan, dump truck etc)? Buy from Bricklink? Buy from some online site? Buy from BigW? Wait for a %off sale at Target? Wait for a %off sale at MYER?

If you have MyerOne card you get extra 10% on top of 20% off Lego(does not happen all the time). Or you can wait for Myer Buy 2 Get 1 Free.

lightningtiger Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Toy Corner has now received their City and Ninjago stock.....they are also still running their 15% off shop stock. Brought a garbage truck today for a future review.
Evil Stu Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Did a run around The Belconnen ACT shops on Monday. Myer still awaiting release of new stock, target and Kmart both had new City and Ninjago (Kmart for 10-20% less than RRP on the kits I checked) and Target had s6 Minifigs (thoroughly pilfered).
TeufelHund Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Shop for me has all the OT sets for Star Wars 2012 (including the X-wing at 20% off): http://www.shopforme.com.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=34_37&sort=20a&page=1
d-delay Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 2012 Star Wars have arrived in Melbourne! Pakenham Big W to be precise. Geonisian Cannon, Droid Escape, both battle packs and the planet sets all plentiful. Approximately $38, $18 and $14 respectively. Don't mind me while I go admire the new Geonisians ;)

Don't mind me while I go admire the new Geonisians ;) Nice to know the final prices. I still want to wait to they go on sale. $18 for the battle pack don't seem right? I though they where going to be close to $22 each. Not complaining though, just stating what I've noticed.

I though they where going to be close to $22 each. Not complaining though, just stating what I've noticed. Isn't it normal for BigW to be less than RRP though? I seem to remember some of BigW's standard prices being the best part of 20% less than RRP.
Artanis I Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Friday afternoon AWOL from the office session: Myer have in stock Imperial Flagships again, and the Ninjago booster packs. Nothing else new. At last, the local KMart is stocking new stuff. Just Racers, City and a small selection of Ninjago. Not great. Target have had this stuff in better quantities for over a week already, but today I also found an almost empty box of S6 minifigs there. Normally this would be bad news, but a local book/gift/stationery shop also stocks Lego (almost never below RRP) and have decided to put out 9 boxes of minifigs at $3.99... so let's just say I have all that I want. I may go back for more minotaurs in future. Next stop, SW!
jonwil Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Isn't it normal for BigW to be less than RRP though? I seem to remember some of BigW's standard prices being the best part of 20% less than RRP. BigW isn't less than RRP on the City vehicles (Ambulance etc) at least as far as I have seen.
Whup Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 BigW isn't less than RRP on the City vehicles (Ambulance etc) at least as far as I have seen. Yes, you're right. I didn't mean across the board, sorry. I just remember in the past looking at specific items at BigW and noting that they were almost as cheap as, say, Target would be on a 20% sale. I also picked up the heavy lifter police helicopter at Kmart for $59 yesterday. That's about 15% off!
lightningtiger Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Myer's have their buy 2 get the third free toy deal on today only. Pity for me....I have brought my Great Vehicles anyway (photographed, uploaded and waiting for me when allowed by the academy to write their reviews).

I was hoping for 20 or 25% off as there's only one thing I want. Boo hiss.
