J.P. Manalo Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 ... Surprisingly no sign of the 9488 Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack as of yet I spotted both Battle packs at a Target store this evening. Only a couple of boxes on the shelf though - I'd say the store was raided earlier in the week!
Brickus Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Kmart has the 9558 Ninja Training set for $24, RRP $34.99, Big W Price $28.68. That's not a bad deal almost 30% off and it is a new set.
Appswasere Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) Anyone seen anything in brisbane, done the rounds a couple of times but still nothing Star wars that is Edited January 29, 2012 by Appswasere
jamonlego Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Anyone seen anything in brisbane, done the rounds a couple of times but still nothing Star wars that is Big W had the smaller sets, but I think most of the original sets have now been sold - Target (Carindale and city) had Xwing and Tie Fighter within the last week, but local Target didn't - haven't seen any sets anywhere else yet
Big T Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Hey guys, good to hear the Star Wars sets are becoming regular. Do we know when the DC Superhero sets are meant to be showing up? They're what I'm really waiting for.
Tauntaunwampa Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 There are heaps of Star Wars LEGO sets in Westfield Doncaster, namely Toys'r'Us which had the Elite Clone Trooper Battlepack. X-Wing, Y-Wing and Tie are available most places as well as the planet sets, and the lower range price sets. Big W has next to nothing. I also would like to know when the DC sets are coming out but I am pretty sure i am going to resort to bricklink based on the prices we are going to get...

So does this mean the Y-Wing is a TRU exclusive or not? Hhmmm.
wokajablocka Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 I tried to get a few new set on the Target 20% off and they still haven't got their stock in at Campbelltown yet .

They're what I'm really waiting for. Big W at Warringah Mall (Sydney) has the "6864 The Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase" for $88 . I think I will be waiting for a Myer 3 for 2 at that price.
WetWired Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 It's not really a sale, but I have sets of series 6 plus a ton of spares for sale if anyone is interested, sets are going for $80 with postage and singles I'll accept offers on I'm not sure of the quantities but I have multiples of the following Minotaurs Intergalactic Girls Grey Aliens Bandits Flamenco Dancers Leprechauns Celtic Warriors Skater Girls Mechanics
Esurient Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Spotted FOUR newly opened boxes of Series 6 at my local Kmart today. I did not grab any as they cost $5 each.
KartoffelViking Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Big W at Golden Grove (Adelaide) were putting Superheroes sets on the shelves tonight. Catwoman set was ~$24, Batwing set was ~$49 and Superman set was ~$39. Sorry, I didn't get to scan the Bat cave or Batmobile sets. However, rumor is that the Catwoman set will be $18 next week at Big W (not sure if this is next week as in this coming Thursday, or the week after).
WetWired Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Has anyone has anyone bought from US online stores like walmart and used a US shipping redirection service? I'm considering trying it for the pet store and superheroes sets, they have the pet store for $150 and the catwoman and supermans sets for $12 and $20 respectively. I did a rough calculation and with postage for the pet store I'm still saving about $75 off the local RRP on the pet store, bringing it down to just under $200 delivered. I've never used one before though, so I was hoping someone here might be able to share their experiences, I'd probably end up getting the pet store and most of the superheroes sets to make it worth doing.

I realise that this is off topic, but I thought a quick reply would close it down. I have tried both 'Hop shop go' [ which is tied in with Paypal ] and ShopUSA. Hop Shop Go charge by the volumetric size and if your goods are packed in more than one box, it can be very costly for postage. ShopUsa charge a shipping fee based on your invoiced cost in US dollars. If you spend US $200, they will charge you $57 which is about 28% of your purchase price. If you buy US $800, the postage will be $177 which is about 22%. If the shipment comes in multiple cartons, then they will ship for that price. The latter is now my preferred method. WetWired Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 thanks for that, I just did a quick calculation and it comes in at about $21 cheaper via shopUSA. Is there any other cheap US retailers for lego worth looking at?

You can try to post under this thread instead 'Buying LEGO from other countries on-line stores' http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59119 Edited January 30, 2012 by Esurient

Hewman Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) deleted - someone posted same info as i was writing. Edited January 30, 2012 by hewman
Big T Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) Thanks guys for the info regarding the superhero sets. No Big W's down where I live, but it should mean it isn't far off. I've heard the Batcave's like 129 or something, but I'm not sure how accurate that is Edited January 30, 2012 by Big T
distortme Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Target Adelaide CBD has new SW sets @ 20%. Everything but battle packs which may or may not have sold out.

The sale on SW sets probably range between 10-15% nothing to write home about really but it's a good opportunity to check out the box sets in person if haven't seen already, they seem to have most of the new summer sets

Not bad. The sale on SW sets probably range between 10-15% nothing to write home about really but it's a good opportunity to check out the box sets in person if haven't seen already, they seem to have most of the new summer sets Yeah I know its hard to get good deals from Toys R Us as they have an initial inflated price. Still a discount is a discount if you cant get it cheaper.

That is true though these sets are fresh and there is still plenty of time to hangout for at least 20% and Myer 3 for 2, retail is doing so bad lately these sales will be likely and frequent
