I Scream Clone Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 general grevious just came back on S@H for A$65. hurry and order one before it sell out again. There's a reason why its 50% off Rather buy a train
Darth_Legois Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 My TRU has stocked up on LEGO again IJ, City, SW ect... Also it seems more shops have that little display box with a built set? my local TRU has one its the new construction site and the BigW in the same mall has one of the Shuttle & AAT [Accept mace doesnt have his lightsabre and the shuttle doesnt look properly assembled ] I was very tempted to get a Solar Sailor but decided to leave it for now....
natelite Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 spaceman SB, spaceman patrick and sandy magnet set is now available at S@H. also, the vintage minifig collection v2 has increased to A$25 from A$17. well, it was somewhat expected anyway. i guess that's all the magnet set for this year.
DarthSion Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 So does anyone know if there is a price guide of Australia.
TLV Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Hi guys, i'm currently staying in melbourne, near the city center. Does anyone know of places with good prices for lego? To date the best I can find is bigw, even though their range is limited. Hope someone can help me out here. Thanks!
I Scream Clone Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Big W has lower everyday prices. No idea about sales this week. Try Kmart and Target as they often have sales and are cheaper than Myer and DJs
Svelte Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I was in Melbourne a few weekends ago and the Myer store in the city centre had a full range of 09 sets. David Jones there only had post-Xmas leftovers - unwanted Mars Mission and Technic sets mostly. There's also a Target Centre in the middle of Chinatown (!) but I didn't go inside.
DarthSion Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Nope no sales this week, got target and bigw no sales, didnt get kmart leaflet but as they had sale last week i doubt they will have more this week.

natelite Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 the catalog is out already and pirates are not in it. this means if pirates will ever be released it will be in the 2nd half of 09. power miners should be out march according to the catalog. you can get a copy of the catalog from target if you didn't already have one mailed to you.

That's really strange - All the Pirates apart from the impulses are already out in NZ. Maybe some of us will need to post some to you guys over the ditch?

Maybe some of us will need to post some to you guys over the ditch? And we get the same catalogue. I think you Aussies will have them in the next couple of weeks, i think there must have been a muck-up in the ANZ Lego '09 Catalogue. Keep your eye out
Svelte Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Was pirates there Nay, no pirates I meant the catalogue stuff.

natelite Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Not yet... I have a contact... when it comes into their store out of the truck I will know about it Just need some kind of contact in the shipping business retail lego sets are stocked by lego australia which is hq'ed in lane cove, nsw. might be better to develop a contact there. the staff sometimes visit the retail stores. i met a couple from lego aus restocking the shelves in myer during the christmas sale. i also saw them in cbd melb's myer last nov.

Most likely ordered from S@H or Lego distributor, hence the higher than retail prices, plus they have to make money too thx. but i think those a a bit overpriced.i ve got the catalog, but i flip those pages and cant find pages for pirates..that why i am asking if anyone one know... since the cannon battle is really attractive... i even search ebay and i find this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEGO-6239-PIRATES-6239-CANNON 16.65+ 6 shipping cost for 6239....crazy ebayers.. If you wish to pay retail price or lower for Pirates sets, you will have to be patient grasshopper! Big W often gets sets quicker than others, but that can vary based on theme per shop. Basically what I have noticed is Lego Aus staggers the release of all the lines over the whole year, so your only really guaranteed time to pick all themes up is X-mas. We had to wait about 8 months for Castle sets last year (all the Orc ones) came out in August.

DarthSion Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Well if you want something sometimes you have to be willing to pay extra, or wait. Besides you will pay more at BigW, my sister got me the V-19 torrent last week at kmart, it was 80 down to 65 then got 15% off, she went into bigw this week, they had the V-19 for 100.
TheDarkness Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 My Star Wars Lego Magnet minfigs have arrived. I have Boba, Leia, Royal Guard, CW Yoda, CW Dooku and CW Mace Windu should anyone be after any. I'm looking to trade, and am at this stage only after CW Clones to add to my army. Darth_Legois Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Does anyone know about the release date of Pirate line in Australia?i mean in local store, not through the S@H. March apparently. [Atleast the Impulses and smaller sets in March not sure of the others...according to my source] the catalog is out already and pirates are not in it. this means if pirates will ever be released it will be in the 2nd half of 09. power miners should be out march according to the catalog. you can get a copy of the catalog from target if you didn't already have one mailed to you. Well it's happened before where stuff came out in one half of the year but still wasnt in the catalog... Not yet... I have a contact... when it comes into their store out of the truck I will know about it Just need some kind of contact in the shipping business LOL, Nice.
Whittleberry Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) David Jones has a "Buy one toy, get another of equal or lesser value for 50% off" scheme on until March 8. So if you're looking to stock up on CW battlepacks, that's like 25% off. Edited February 26, 2009 by Whittleberry
