Cheers for the link to the Myers voucher distortme. Myers Brisbane was nice enough to match the $35 seaside house. They may have taken $320 of Myers vouchers from me, but with the sale prices, the 10% voucher and having picked up the vouchers when there was a bonus $10 for each $100 spent, it felt like a good deal.

While I was there they were calling around trying to find the vw camper vans and it sounds like all the se qld myer stores are now out of stock.

Myer Carindale wouldn't match the Big W sets (Seaside House and Forest Police in my case) as their sale hadn't started yet. Annoying, but oh well, Big W next Thursday it is then.

A check on the Campervan was "no stock in Australia" - basically it's been very popular everywhere and they weren't sure that it would be back in again (at least in time for the sale).

10% voucher worked though, another thanks to Distortme.

Could've done with this last night (and logic says I could've guessed the URL), but enjoy my friends. BUY! BUY! BUY!

http://www.myerone.com.au/myerone/downloads/toys_voucher.pdf

Told you it was real :P

Too late for me, and too bad for Myer, they got no money from me this time. Although the Lego Club membership would've been good, I got the voucher last year but didn't send it off due to unconfirmed changes of address in the works. Maybe next year...

Local Target did well though, almost cleaned out of Lego. Did not see any R2s (but the 2nd time I went there was a label on the shelf where they'd been) or Diagon Alleys. LOTR has turned up everywhere except Target, and Myer has sold out (again).

Friends looks to be doing well again too.

No sign of LOTR at any Target around here either.

Nor is there any sign of the Gandalf or Shelob sets at any MYER store.

Looks like Big W (when their sale starts next week) is the best place to buy the 2 small LOTR sets, unless you can find a TRU with stock and can convince them to match the set with their price match deal.

Also need to see if TRU will price match/beat on the Seaside House or not.

Reading the information on the TRU site, I cant see anything in their T&Cs that would exclude either the Seaside House or the Shelob Attacks from the deal. Worst comes to worst, I go there, they wont price match, I go back to K-Mart and buy one :)

Target Morley has the Small Gandalf set and the Shelob Set as well as some other LOTR sets. (both sets on table as soon as you walk in the entrance, also some on the side wall Right side of the store)

The K-Mart price of $29 is a couple bucks cheaper than the Target 10% off price anyway so I may as well wait until Thursday when I will be heading to K-Mart (for Shelob, the Seaside House and possibly City Mining) and Big W (possibly for the Helicopter Rescue)

Myer One email today says an extra 10% off toy catalogue items on Friday.

I assume it's just show card as no voucher attached.

Luck I stashed an Olivia's house 3315 behind the atlantis sets as they only had 3 this morning. So I grabbed one at $78 and a few seaside houses at $35.

Kmart even though opened 24 hours told me their pricing won't start until midnight.

This is wrong. I'm currently at K-mart and price check already registers at sale prices. Got a few seaside houses and the parking garage.

Our local K-mart, Stanhope, trading hours are from 6am-midnight. Better start early, I guess?

Here's a tiger's tale....this morning I visited Kmart Firle and found a City mining exc. transporter box badly damaged.....I showed it to the layby staff and presto.....discount.....49.00 down to 12.25 !

Then I visited Kmart TTP and found a garage which was at 129 at the time also damaged.....a trip to layby and another yellow mark down sticker.....64.50 (half their normal price) !

Tonight I'm a happy tiger, I have already built the transporter and can't wait to start the garage.....Brick On Shop On everyone ! :excited:

I put a layby down on the mines of moria set early this week at Myer, though I've never used layby before and neither had the woman who served me. She couldn't tell me whether the $10 I put down on it goes against the final cost or not, has anyone here used Myer's layby before and can tell me what the deal is?

It's a non-refundable admin fee.....and the price at the register would have included it as a grand total. It did last week for my red cargo train layby.

I called Big W Miranda tonight and they told me they had 4 SSD in stock.

Myself and another guy bought one tonight so i assume they will be all gone pretty quickly....

[rant]I went to my local BigWhoop to pick up an SSD at midnight, but when I got in I was told they'd already sold them all as online purchases. Pretty annoyed at this point, I asked if they could reserve one at another store. "No", I was told, "but you can go to Eastland, they have plenty". So I drove all the way over to Eastland only to be told they too don't have any left. Very unhappy with the service.[/rant]

Damn, that wasn't very rantworthy language. A friend managed to pick me up one fortunately, but otherwise I'd be fuming.

I was at my local BigWat 8:10 this morning, they only opened at 8, and the SSD was already sold out. I was told that as last year's Imperial Shuttle didn't sell well they didn't order many in. This must be true as they had 5 shuttles left (though I grabbed one) The boxes were squashed as they've obviously been in storage for a year, but that's ok, its going to be built anyway.

Depending on the markup they can make on these, they may have made a big mistake as they seem to be very popular and not many people are getting their hands on one.

I wandered into my local Big W this morning after 9am and most sale stock was still available. I didn't see any SSD but they had all the Dino sets except the smallest one, tons of Helm's Deep & Orc Forges + A few Anakin's Jedi interceptors (I couldn't bring myself to buy it though for the price). I ended up getting the biggest Dino set for my Son's birthday and a $20 storage box for my small elements.

I am really disappointed that Miranda's Big W was opening in midnight and they didn't show it in website clearly.

When I went there @8.30am (supposed their opening hours), Heartlake dog show was gone...

I could only pick Seaside house only

:sceptic:
