TeufelHund Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 25% off toys at DJs until Sunday. Thanks - the shelves were pretty much bare when I got to the one in the Canberra CBD but I ended up getting a ghastly pink Friends set for my niece's birthday. Only having sons myself I have no idea about shopping for girls so I was a bit flumoxed about picking between a pet show or beauty salon but ended up going for the later because in that set the friend actually comes with a friend.
OzBen Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Lego online store has 10215 Star Wars Obi Wans Jedi Starfighter at half price - $87.49 (plus shipping)
juzo Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Anyone know who'll be selling the monster fighters line when they come out, as in the big stores?
DrWeevil Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Anyone know who'll be selling the monster fighters line when they come out, as in the big stores? It's not an exclusive line so they probably all will be selling them. The zombie set however is an exclusive that will most likely go to TRU (pretty sure it's a TRU exclusive in the states). The Haunted House may not be as widely available.
distortme Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 So went to Marion today with no intention of buying anything as we all do :) Myer still had their 20% off but you get an extra $10 for every $75 you spend plus a $10 voucher for next week if you spend $30. To my surprise there's a Tower Bridge there still - so got it for $240 :) Also picked up the Duplo electric train for my son. Not bad for not expecting to find/buy anything but $240 for Tower Bridge was too good to leave.

Yeah i'd imagine the haunted house will go to someone like david jones. They seem to get the modulars in the past.

Not bad for not expecting to find/buy anything but $240 for Tower Bridge was too good to leave. I have been in Adelaide for the past few days and it has been extremely difficult to not spend. I looked at getting that Tower Bridge but didn't think I'd have enough room in the car ( or adding another to the collection at home) I am already going to get crucified when my wife sees all my Lord Of The Rings orders. It was very hard to not load up on Orc Forge sets! Considering I only bought some baseplates I thought it was a fair effort. On a side note I was told that Target had completely sold out of R2-D2 sets. Not sure how reliable that is but I definitely haven't seen any at the Target stores I've visited since the sales started.

The only time I saw R2-D2 was during the Wednesday night before the sale. I came back the weekend later and Target posted a sign saying they sold out. Edited July 8, 2012 by hiroki
juzo Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 My local target still had some a week after the sale started but they're all gone now. Glad i grabbed 3 when i could.
lokipei Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 My local target still had some a week after the sale started but they're all gone now. Glad i grabbed 3 when i could. Was only able to get one online by lay-by. Hopefully that means I'm still guaranteed getting one. Final payment is not until November though so is a long wait. If I can find one elsewhere for a good price I can cancel and all I lose is a $2.50 processing fee.

distortme Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 How long is this offer till? Just for the weekend unfortunately. The $10 voucher tho is valid this week only but only on single purchases. I have 6 of them if anyone wants one :)

The million dollar question though is whether they will actually honour it and send you the set... I have had 3 seperate occations where they haven't honoured a set they have advertised.

Brickus Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I just wen't to my Big W and picked up the Beach House for $35, instead of $38 as per their catalog. Looks like they copied Kmart's price.
juzo Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Thanks for that TheDarkness. Must be the best price for Australians I have ever seen. Makes Toyworld's Offer look like the joke it is. Cheers What's their price? It's noe saying unavailable on that link. I bought 1 of these off a guy in perth for $529 shipped. When it arrived i was disappointed to find the box was all banged up so i contacted him to arrange a replacement. I ended up buying it off him for $400! Plus i bought another one off him, his last one. Seems if you want a good price you need to go offshore, which is why i jumped on his while i had the chance.
Mandarine Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) Amazon.it still has best price on the Death Star for Australians. Got mine a few weeks ago: cost about $430 AUD including shipping. Arrived within 5 days, impeccably packed. Remember, they deduct VAT when you go to checkout so price is actually lower than the listed price for us Aussies. :-) Also picked up Jabba's Palace for $149.90 at DJs. 25% off all toys. Not sure when it ends but got it one week ago. Edited July 11, 2012 by Mandarine
lightningtiger Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Ha, I knew Target would....they have extended their toy sale until the 15th in line with Kmart.....but online sale finishes on the 18th of July !
