MinifigHQ Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) For those in Perths east, Toyworld Midland and Kalamunda had some vouchers in Saturdays Echo newspaper (local paper) one voucher was for 50% off 1 item valued at $30 or less and then there was 2x30% and 2x25% off vouchers to be used 1 per item. A friend managed to pickup 8403 for 30%off today from Midland. I have 2x25% vouchers if anyone wanted them.(valid till saturday I believe) Edited July 11, 2012 by MinifigHQ
djanscak Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Which amazon site? I've never seen them that cheap. Amazon.it (Italy). I've bought Death Stars from there before. They had some in stock even cheaper last week but have yet again changed what they'll ship to Australia. It seems all Lego is off limits for Aussies from there at the moment.

TheDarkness Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Gah! How many times does it have to be stated guys?! This thread is for LOCAL AUSTRALIAN sales only. Amazon and Fishpond are *not* Australian websites/businesses. And yes, Fishpond is not Australian. Feels like a broken record... Well Fishpond states that they are Australia's Biggest Toy Shop with an Australian domain. Of course if I am incorrect I am happy to admit it
DrWeevil Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Well Fishpond states that they are Australia's Biggest Toy Shop with an Australian domain. Of course if I am incorrect I am happy to admit it Fishpond like to put out the impression they are, however they are in fact a New Zealand company: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fishpond.co.nz Which is why you don't pay GST on purchases: http://www.fishpond.com.au/helpdesk.php?question_id=117 And is also why the ACCC haven't been able to do much about their extremely dodgy sales practices.

I stand corrected :) Fishpond deals will now be put in the other Overseas sale thread
BrettBrick Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I stand corrected :) Fishpond deals will now be put in the other Overseas sale thread Kmart, target are US companies so might aswell put them in that category as well. If they sell with delivery in Australia with a .com.au website they should be in this thread I feel. Personally I think any sales available to Australians should be in this thread. That way you and I don't have to look at any other sales threads its all in one place. But having the other countries thread I guess does work. BigW had a new delivery of alien sets. Tripod $20. Helicopter $40.
Ratsmitglied Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Kmart, target are US companies so might aswell put them in that category as well. As stated on the Target Australia homepage "Target Australia Pty Ltd is part of the Wesfarmers Ltd group and has no affiliation with Target Corporation US" In the Wikpedia article for Kmart "Kmart also exists in Australia and New Zealand (see Kmart Australia), although it now has no relation to the American stores except in name, after U.S. equity in the Australian business was purchased in the late 1970s." So in this case they are both Australian companies. Fishpond, on the other hand, is New Zealand owned and operated, it just happens to own a .com.au domain name (mind you, my experience with Fishpond was terrible, out of 6 items ordered, only one arrived and there was absolutely no communication) Edited July 12, 2012 by Ratsmitglied
hiroki Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Hey everyone, Does Uncle Pete's have sales? I ask because they have the Winter Village Bakery but at 95 dollars, I'd prefer to get it during a sale.

Can we change the thread title to "Lego Sales for Aussies" or am I dreaming?
BrettBrick Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 As stated on the Target Australia homepage "Target Australia Pty Ltd is part of the Wesfarmers Ltd group and has no affiliation with Target Corporation US" In the Wikpedia article for Kmart "Kmart also exists in Australia and New Zealand (see Kmart Australia), although it now has no relation to the American stores except in name, after U.S. equity in the Australian business was purchased in the late 1970s." I still feel this thread should be for Aussie available good pricing. Not just local sale content. Half the deals in the "other countries thread don't work for Australia. Kamrt in Australia are clearing out some old city stock too.
DrWeevil Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I also wouldn't mind having some of that info posted here, and for this thread to 'officially' cover release information and sales available to Australians (online and in store), but it'd be annoying if it became a thread full of people going on about their shipping/order updates...
apps Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Well I stand corrected. I still feel this thread should be for Aussie available good pricing. Not just local sale content. Half the deals in the "other countries thread don't work for Australia. Kamrt in Australia are clearing out some old city stock too. What city stock were they getting rid of, I heard that the airport was at the end of it's run but it was still at the normal stupid price last week:angry: Edited July 12, 2012 by apps
BrickAl Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I also support the idea of a single thread to discuss all sales available to Aussies. Ultimately, I know my addiction can be expensive, so it's nice to know all the deals that are available. Over time this thread and the overseas thread have saved (cost?) me a lot of money. It would be great to have all deals available to aussies in one place.

Half the deals in the "other countries thread don't work for Australia. Kamrt in Australia are clearing out some old city stock too. I would agree about a thread (this thread?) for Aussie available good pricing. As you say, many places won't ship to Australia, so it becomes a pain to try and find the ones that will.

feuerbogen Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Saw this too and was wondering the same thing! would be great to get 20% off and then 33% off when you buy 3 items at the same price! Just returned from Myer. Unfortunately only 3rd item free. no additional 20% off. 33% off isn't too shabby though
distortme Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Saw this too and was wondering the same thing! would be great to get 20% off and then 33% off when you buy 3 items at the same price! Spent sooooo much already but just stood there doing various calculations in my head. Left with nothing :/ Hulk avengers kit was tempting tho…

distortme Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 No additional 20% off, but what about stuff already on sale? So not the current 20% prices being used? I assume "can't be used with any other offer" is in play?
lostdriveway Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I'm hoping along the lines of the Cargo train being at $219 because its in the current catalogue and then buy 2 get one 1.... I'm heading to Myer this arvo so I'll try my luck!
