I wish TLG gives the modular building exclusive to Myer instead, at least they are well-stocked most of the time....

... and they exist in Tasmania and will soon do so in the Northern Territory.

BigW currently has the Super Star Destroyer available online for $498 for those that missed out.

The website says it is available in store too, but what are your chances of finding one?

check this out from a very reliable website:

http://www.tarazz.co...orner/46076785/

sadly, i dont think it's gonna happen.

Quite bizarre, I've never trusted this site as they are basically acting as agents and if you have a problem, you generally have to deal with the supplier direct. They have a lot of old sets listed as coming from Walmart, so I highly doubt they are available, probably just old information that hasn't been removed from their system. They claim they are not obliged to fulfill the order, so you are more likely going to be chasing them down for a refund if purchased.

Edit: As a side note to this, emails sent through to their customer service from their website bounce straight back to your email, so if you do have to chase down money, your going to have a hard time doing it. They also don't list a contact phone number.

There is a lot of discontinued items on that site at the moment, though the Cafe Corner page has dissappeared.

I don't know if I'd ever use them anyway, their prices are more than 10% higher then the prices listed on the relevant US shop's site (probably closer to 15% when the exchange rate is factored in), and you get slugged very high postage costs. Why don't they just come clean to say they are a freight forwarder and charge you a flat rate commission on the US RRP.

They are also selling the 3180 tanker for under 23 bucks, but charge over 27 for shipping !

There is an expression for this.......RIP-OFF !

Oh, by the way I just heard that Toy Corner's 25% off will continue until 18th of this month.

There was an SSD in bigw southland when I visited on sunday. But they had their wire security device on it and had ripped part of the box. I wasn't going to get one anyway, but why they would expect anyone to fork out 500 dollars for something that's already damaged I'll never understand. (coming from a former woolworths employee who resented being told to throw out perfectly good apples that had surface blemishes because "customers wouldn't want them,")

not really a sale, but big w is selling the lego friends dvd New girl in town for under $13 and it comes with the "exclusive friends bracelet" item no 4659597. Which sells on ebay for $20 at the moment.

At my local target (Merrylands, NSW) I price scanned Kingdoms Mill Village Raid to see how much with 20% off. They scanned at $19.83! (I think full price was $119). I took all 3 they had for less than $60.

Wow! Most likely a pricing error, but I will definitely check it out. Cheers!

David Jones has 20% off lego tomorrow only for a Christmas sale

If only I didn't have to spend money getting the pros in to clean my house for an upcoming rent inspection I could go buy a Town Hall or a Pet Shop :(

Also, does anyone know of the Australian release date for the new Hobbit sets?

This offer is also available online, and they are doing free delivery.

I can confirm that they have the Pet Shop and Grand Emporium in stock (as I just ordered one of each) and it says the Town Hall is also available. The Fire Brigade wasn't on the website though, so maybe they don't have any of them.

The site is extremely slow, but I did eventually get an email confirmation that my order had been placed.

TOYs R US 25% off storewide is on again from Thursday although they also have a catalog listing Lego as 20% off so I'm not sure which discount will apply (knowing them - the smaller one):

I have seen a few Death Stars floating around at the local stores here in Canberra + the usual Toys R US exclusives might be attractive at 20-25% off.

There were also plenty of Town Halls and Pet Shops (+ one solitary Grand Emporium) at David Jones in Civic so if there is a sale you might try your luck there.

I just noticed that Kmart have the 4207 parking garage for $99 (down from $118). Is this a good deal? Doesn't seem like much of a discount to me?

Really, when the S@H price is 149.99, eh......99 bucks was a good price (it finished last night) (footnote - I got mine months ago for 64.50.....damaged box)

Speaking of Kmart - Great Vehicles series 24.00 though it's not that good.........that TRU 25% sounds great....got my email but sadly no spare cash ! :cry_sad:

I am between jobs right now and are not made of money :)

Plus, the things the house cleaner did are things I would have never gotten right (e.g. cleaning the oven)
