wokajablocka Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 !ATT ALL AUSSIE LEGO FANS! Just ordered the Death Star 10188 from amazon.com for $384.94. I thought I would see if it would let me ship to Australia and it did  . Amazone.com never ships Lego to Australia and this is first time I have ever seen it ship here. Get onto it everybody now while the set is discounted from $400 to $339.97. So much better than the Aus RRP $699, that's almost half price. Its also better price than Amazon.fr which is offering it shipped for $471.45, over $90 saving. What a bargain, thank you Amazon.com . I didn't want to miss this set as it will be discontinued shortly for sure. I am so happy I'm getting the Death Star for Christmas.
wesker Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Any word on when we can expect the Hobbit sets to start showing in stores?

craym0nk Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Free standard shipping from S@H when spending $100+ at the moment. Just used it to get the PF parts needed to motorise my Emerald Night, couldn't find them locally and didn't want to wait for intl postage.
qvack Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 FYI shop at home stock all ships from denmark, so at this time of year it could take a while to arrive.

For delivery by December 25th: - Standard Shipping: 23:59 GMT December 8th. - Express Shipping: 23:59 GMT December 13th. Order left 4/12, says: "Description: eParcel Express", I thought that was an AusPost thing, no? No matter, not ordering presents. If the Emerald Night isn't circling the tree this year it can wait 'til next. Still have to build up Winter Toy Shop, YAY! Edited December 5, 2012 by craym0nk
jonwil Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 hobbit sets now listed on lego(AU) site - larger sets only ship 27/12 At those prices, I am definitely going to wait for them to hit retail with a good %off sale.

I believe they ship it in Bulk to a repacking facility in Sydney then it gets delivered through Australia Post. Anytime I've received a parcel, it has always been in a nice neat box with the AusPost label on it, definitely hasn't come directly from Overseas.

My last one was like that, Australia Post from Sydney, but my previous orders have had Denmark or Singapore written on them and (I don't remember who) some courier delivered one once.

My last one was like that, Australia Post from Sydney, but my previous orders have had Denmark or Singapore written on them and (I don't remember who) some courier delivered one once. Ordered on Monday night, shipped Tuesday. It definitely looks like an AusPost thing because allthough they call it a tracking website, the only entry is that it was picked up and then nothing.... It will then arrive without notice and maybe the website will update with a delivered status 12-24 hours after the event. AusPost, yay!

Obviously, it gets shipped in from overseas and doesn't show up again on tracking until it has passed customs and is in the AusPost warehouse 10-12 days later. The last few orders I've had say they've been picked up, 12 days later the website says that its at the local DC and dispatched, then arrives that day. One I think said it was in Sydney one day and local DC the next.

Tracking details of my current order: Event Date Event Time Event Detail Event City 11/29/2012 01:37 Shipment Tendered , 11/29/2012 01:37 Picked Up The url contains DHL & the page is all red & yellow... I don't think this is coming straight from NSW, nor is it Aus Post (yet). Time will tell as to whether it's coming straight to me or being repackaged & forwarded on.
