Pennas2000 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Have a Arkham Asylum on layby now from Target. They are charging $5 layby fee rather than usual $2 I got 2 Arkham's on layby And yeah I noticed the $5 layby fee too. So not fair.
Another Brick In The Wall Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 (edited) How much is Colby City Showdown at Target? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Btw, Target sales at Bondi Junction starts at 6pm tonight! Edited June 25, 2013 by Another Brick In The Wall
kaykay Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 How much is Colby City Showdown at Target? $69 (save $20) according to catalogue
Artanis I Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Target website states that the toy sale starts in shops tonight at 6pm, check online to see whether your local(s) is open until midnight, quite a few are.
TheDarkness Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 (edited) Triple Fly Buys tomorrow at Targets Toy Sale too if you activate the offer in the email Edited June 25, 2013 by TheDarkness
Hewman Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 This is probably only now helpful to folks in WA but in Adelaide at least all the prices at Target were down to sale prices at 5:15. So if like me, it's much easier to pop in after work and not wait until 6 pm, I recommend seeing if the situation with the early pricing is the same in WA.
Fenaughty Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I went up to Roselands Target tonight, was pretty empty and they had a stack of AA on the shelves, grabbed myself one, last purchase for this month after the HH, Myer and Big W spends
calberau Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Went in to my Target this evening and price matched all the BigW online prices, so no need to go there on Thursday. All toy-saled out with none of the fuss!
Kryne Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 http://www.toysrus.com.au/lego/lego-star-wars-super-star-destroyer-executor/w1/i4201864_1181094/#vwocamp 10221 available at toysrus online for $699 not sure if its known or not but thought i would put it here.
lightningtiger Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Newton Target only had one AA left......lucky the tiger put his on lay-by weeks ago and got my 20% off it tonight.....cheeky eh ?
distortme Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Okay guys and gals I pose a question, what would you buy with a $250 Lego budget? I'm totally torn between what to buy this silly season. You guys keep saying how good HH is but that's all my budget and I think I want some variety, though I will mostly buy city or creator sets I bought 1 x HE from Myer online the other day and a few little things from DJ's just so I didn't miss out on them, but we are hitting the BIG smoke this Friday (due to all the toy sales being on) and I'm taking my cash to get some bargains. My son has a $100 budget too so it's going to be great. I pitch in here. Get another HE train because it more awesome with two and a Sopwith. It's a fantastic build. Alternatively stick with exclusive as you won't always find them around when you next $250 shows up :)
Another Brick In The Wall Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) My Target purchases: - Batman AA - Ghost Train (couldn't say no at $59) - Colby City Showdown (completing LR) - Coast Guard Plane (this may actually be my fave set) - Metropolis Showdown Edited June 26, 2013 by Another Brick In The Wall
TheDarkness Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Target had the Ghost Train at $59? Wow No Arkhams or R2 sets at my local store. Disappointing
Another Brick In The Wall Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Target had the Ghost Train at $59? Wow Actually $56. It was already reduced to $70 in many places because of oversupply.
TheDarkness Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I only have a small Target here with a small Lego aisle. I was hopeful they would have gotten at least a couple of R2 and AA sets, but the biggest really were the Airport and Mine sets :(
Another Brick In The Wall Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Try online and pick-up.....they're much more flexible than Myer for customer pick-ups.
TheDarkness Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Try online and pick-up.....they're much more flexible than Myer for customer pick-ups. Yeah I was thinking that might be the way to go. I have heard horror stories though of them getting all busted up in transit, so I might just order them to be delivered.
shnake Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Target had the Ghost Train at $59? Wow No Arkhams or R2 sets at my local store. Disappointing Target at Warringah Mall in Sydney must have 40 Arkhams there today!! Edited June 26, 2013 by shnake
Hewman Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 For those in Adelaide, the city Target store still had three Arkham Asylums at lunch time today.
distortme Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I went into Target. A nice bunch cool stuff in there but I couldn't do it - the Umbaran set is great but sooo pricey :/ Tho I laybyed an Interactive R2-D2 for my son so they got some of my cash still!
Minifig_Matt Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks for the advice you guys, my partner called Myer and had to debate quite a bit with the woman on the phone, who told him he'd need to come up there with the voucher (we're in Northern NSW and a trip up to the Gold Coast just to fix someone else's mistake is out of the question) and he had to demand that she change the price for him now, and she finally caved. Talk about stubborn! Why do staff from these stores try so hard to protect their corporate overlords income from poor customers trying to get a small discount? It's not like they personally lose That's a shame, I had the same issue here in Sydney where I didn't get the 10% off (did it even receive the coupon in the mail or receive a message through their app). But, the customer service guy on the phone was real good, apologised for the mix up, cancelled my initial lay by then re did it with the discount so I'm happy. On a side note, got the Monster Fighters Ghost Train for $55 with the 20% off clearance price at Target today.
Aussie BJ Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Apple Tree House is on special at S@H only $56 but you'll have to call to check stock levels.

Kristel Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Has anyone seen any new Friends sets in store yet other than the bakery?
