Well, my local one (Newton) had quite a few Hobbit sets.

Yep was here too. And underneath the sign were only the latest wave of LOTR sets and not a single Hobbit set in the whole store :(

Scanned the LOTR sets too being hopeful but got nothing

Target at Warringah Mall in Sydney had about 20 of each of the Hobbit sets in a separate display away from the main toy sale Lego if anybody is looking for it.

They had Goblin King, Hobbit Hole, Milkwood spiders and also about 8x attack of the wargs.

Thanks for the info! Picked up another of the Goblin King to stash away for my son. $75 dollars off always makes you smile :sweet: It's not marked as such though.....it was on the shelf with the usual 20% off sign.

Yep, they did this morning as well as Bag End set too.

Cheers, mate. Now hopefully they still have one by the time I can get there after work. Now a second Bag End is tempting... no that's just silly

For those who are interested, MYER Perth CBD still has plenty of stock of everything except the VW (including plenty of Expresses, Jousts, Creator sets, Mini Modulars and Camels). Target Perth CBD had the Hobbit Spiders set and plenty of the Goblin King set. Didn't see any of the other sets (Wargs, Bag End) though. No Arhkam sets left either.

top tip on the hobbit sets, got bag end and warg attack. Wraps up my gift card purchases nicely. For those in melb se there were several of Bag end left, at least one goblin king and plenty of the rest (except the wargs :) ) at southland target. My plan was to loop chadstone and waverly gardens if they'd been raided already!

Popped by Hollywood Plaza (in Adelaide) this morning and they had plenty of all the Hobbit sets...

As a non-fan of LOTR/Hobbit, I just couldn't bring myself to buy any of it though despite the half price... don't think I could explain the dodgy mouldy looking house with the old bearded man and his four bearded kids to my young kids... I guess it gives the plentiful police force something to keep an eye on though...

Similar story with the "wild wolves that chased some poor men up a burning tree" set and the "crazy fat naked guy that owns a sweat shop" set...

Thanks for the great scoop. Went to Target Glendale yesterday and got 2x Warg attacks, Goblin King and 2x Council of Elrond. This is the best deal we have had in Australia at 50% off. Gets close to competing on prices with the USA now. Have made a great MOC of Warg attacks. Have extended the tree making it taller with more foliage. The 4 Wargs make it look heaps more realistic with Thorin going into battle backed up by Bilbo.

Isn't elrond a lotr set? It's got gimli... I would've bought that one out of my own pocket at 50% off. Nuts.

And on the US prices note the creator aviation adventures set is going for ~58/59 here, US RRP 59.99 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=31011-1

I got it from big w @ 48, so we are seeing some improvement in pricing. Just not in licensed sets.

There was 1 set left at target carindale which I grabbed! Rung 4 other targets in this area and they had nothing!

Very happy I got at least 1 set! Thanks for the tip!

Elrond is a LOTR set. Anyway who got it 50% off scored big time as they shouldn't be. Unfortunately the Elrond sets at mine were only 20% off.

Went to Target Newton looking for the Bag End set - none left but lots of Wargs and Goblin Kings. Left with the Monster Fighters Ghost Train for $56 - thought it was a decent enough bargain now.

Also some one got quite a garage sale haul this morning - I got there when it opened and it was gone. Check Gumtree Adelaide area for Lego. A bunch of old SW including UCS models plus a huge tub. Went for $1100 so must've been quite a lot.
