I Scream Clone Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Kmart Adelaide have the Rancor set for $69 and Series 3 Planets for $12 in their clearance area. 20% off really doesn't really constitute clearance… Mine also had X-Wing at $100, need to be a bit lower before I bother snapping them up.
Aussie BJ Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Anyone seen the new Technic Monster Truck 42005 for sale yet? Haven't seen anything yet. My local Lego shop has placed his order and expects them around September.
lightningtiger Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Another lucky pop in today at Kmart Ingle Farm (SA)......city coast guard boat 89 bucks, coast guard copter and cargo truck for 35 bucks. Some new SW as well.
Darth Malgus Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Half the new SW at Myer Bourke St today, lookis like they've got some Chima sale coming up, had signs ready to go, couldn't see what it said though.
Laservampire Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Have any of the series 4 SW planets turned up yet?
I Scream Clone Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 TRU has 20% off full priced toys Fri to Sun though you need the print out coupon.
jonwil Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Spotted the new City and SW sets at Target and K-Mart in Carousel including the coast guard boat, race truck, cargo stuff and that black Star Wars stealth ship.
distortme Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Where abouts is the 'clearance' area? Near the LEGO stuff? Next to the escalators.
lightningtiger Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Kmart Ingle Farm finally put out the monster truck transporter and surfer rescue sets tonight.....no sign of the cargo jet, heliplane or stunt plane. Though I must add 39 bucks for the seperatist tank with Jango Fett is a bit much for such a small box when comparing to the 35 buck city sets.
lightningtiger Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Okay, time for the tiger to kick himself......just received an email from TRU.......20% full price toys again with coupon - 2nd to 4th of August ! Oh, the pain......well, at least I might grab the coast guard copter and monster truck transporter during the promo. Edited July 31, 2013 by lightningtiger
jonwil Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I must say the cargo heliplane is an awesome build, as is the race truck. Now I just need to wait for the new Friends sets to show up (some of them look potentially interesting), for the DeLorien set to appear on Shop @ Home for sale in the next day or so and then later in the year, S11 and the Opera House (although I will probably see who gets the Opera House next year in the mid-year sales) That and likely some Bricklink purchases for parts for my next MOC project :)
Pennas2000 Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Does anyone know when The Back to the Future set is available for us? I thought it was today. Dont worry. It's available now. Edited July 31, 2013 by Pennas2000
jtr Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) 41999 is available at lego shop 220aud As well as 75025 Jedi™ Defender-class Cruiser Edited July 31, 2013 by jtr
SandMirror38 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Does anyone know when The Back to the Future set is available for us? I thought it was today. Dont worry. It's available now. YES!
Artanis I Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Both Star Wars limited availability sets and series 4 planets are now on S@H, as are the Castle sets, Hero Factory, DeLorean, Technic & a bunch of new watches. Remember, free postage for orders over $150. Also, you get a free Friends ice cream stand with every Friends purchase, and a free Galaxy Squad mini-mech with orders over $100. Starhopper is $70, Jedi Cruiser is $140. Gotta decide what to and what not to order now...
TeufelHund Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) As I said in the Histroic forums thread - the RRPs for the Castle sets are generally pretty reasonable - I'm liking the smallest set with 4 minifigs for only $13 and the Castle at $140 is $30 cheaper than the Kingdoms version but has more pieces. I wasn't looking at this year's castle as I don't like the childlike Lion heraldry much but if bought at a 20% discount that's almost 1000 pieces of castley bits for MOCs at only $112...hmmmm.... All you need to do is take your other receipt in, go in and buy them at 20% off walk out, walk back in with your receipt of full priced ones you bought (as long as they were bought at TRU though) and return them! Does that make sense? I have the new castle set and tbh it is a good build but I like the kingdoms one better! I actually wasn't that impressed with the new castle, it just feels like its walls, walls and more walls! There really isn't that much detail to it! But that's just my opinion! I'm looking forward to buying the rest soon! I still will buy the entire sets because I love castle/kingdoms and I want to add them to my display!

Fenaughty Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Too late....I have already built them. No it's not, he meant go in, buy a second set at the discounted price, then go back later and get a refund for your original receipt purchase at full price. On another note: I haven't seen any of the new sets around all my haunts in NSW so far, hoping my local 2 TRU get them for the sale on the weekend
Artanis I Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Too late....I have already built them. I think he meant to take the original receipt with you, buy the sets again cheaper, straight away return those sets (not the original sets) but with the original (higher priced) receipt instead of the new receipt.

A suitable workaround. If the original purchase was within 1 or 2 weeks I'd ask for a direct refund of the difference on the off chance... but then it is TRU. Works in places like JB/Dick smith though.
Rare White Ape Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Here's a sale for you... Change Shop@Home region to United States. Order DeLorean for $34.99 and Hayabusa for $49.99 (which isn't available to Australia, unless you pay $70 on Bricklink). Oh, and pay sales tax of $7.65 for California. In AU dollars that's $103.51. Send to Shipito address and have it forwarded to me for about US$55, I would expect. That $69.99 price for the DeLorean in Australia is a bit too much to swallow, I think.

TheDarkness Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 As far as I am aware TLG cancels all orders to forward shipping companies now to prevent illegal drop shipping
jonwil Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I believe the primary reason why they dont allow re-shippers is because of the increasing amount of cases where criminals use stolen credit cards to buy high-value goods (not just from LEGO but from many other online retailers too) which they then sell off (and since the money used to purchase the items in the first place was stolen, any money the criminals make when they resell them is pure profit to the criminals)
