distortme Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 If anything, those SW RRPs work well with B2G1F sales.
dragonau Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) If anything, those SW RRPs work well with B2G1F sales. Yes (33.33% off), but we'll have to wait until the next b2g1f (probably Myer or Target). I am not aware of any b2g1f on Lego at the moment. No new City at either Pacific Fair or Southport Park Target for the 20%+3for2 deal. They did however have a large number of the Octan tanker truck set if anyone wants that along with a few of the tiny motorbike sets of various sorts. Anyone have any clue about stock levels at Hellensvale, Runaway Bay or Robina (is it worth making the trek out to one of those 3 tomorrow to try and take advantage of the best LEGO sale in Aussie history?) Any luck yesterday with the City sets? Edited January 30, 2014 by dragonau
KartoffelViking Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Myer at TTP (Adelaide) had their SW planets sets on clearance today for $8. Rumor has it that the series 4 planets didn't make it to Australia due to lack of sales (sorry, I can't remember the source), but what the heck did they expect at $16 rrp?? Woolies also seems to be getting rid of their "great vehicles" (at least the garbage and tanker trucks) for $12, down from $29.
KartoffelViking Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Oh, Myer also had the new Mindstorms set for a whopping $499.
lightningtiger Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Woolies also seems to be getting rid of their "great vehicles" (at least the garbage and tanker trucks) for $12, down from $29. Really ! OMG ! Which Woolworths stores ?
KartoffelViking Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I saw this at Woolworths TTP (Adelaide).
lightningtiger Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I saw this at Woolworths TTP (Adelaide). Thanks 'KV', what did they have left ?

Series 4 didn't make it anywhere in retail. But it was available in Aus on S@H, which is more than most countries.
dragonau Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) The following Friends sets have recently been discontinued in the US recently so if you were after them perhaps keep a look out for them being put on clearance. 3065 Olivia's Tree House 3185 Summer Riding Camp 3189 Heartlake Stables 3061 City Park Cafe 3188 Heartlake Vet 41011 Stephanie's Soccer Practice (Woolworths has many of these sets---do you think they'll clear them?) One of their shipping options is to pick up in store but the address given is actually a cafe on Lygon St, Brunswick???
MicroM Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I've bought from them - used the delivery option. I was in Melbourne on holidays and saw their store, and yes it's on Lygon street. Not a cafe though, just a store full of LEGO. Cool looking shop - unfortunately it was shut.

Brick Fiend Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks for the confirmation. I live about 15mins away... guess I'll have to drop in and check it out. It's a good shop. They only open something like 6 - 7.30pm? weekdays, but are open during the day on the weekend. Nice guys and knowledgeable too. They love a good chat about Lego.
dragonau Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) Noticed Outer Rim Trading Co (http://www.outerrimt...me=LEGO-Friends) has one more Lego Friends Steph's Cool Convertible for $20 (this has been retired for a while). Good chance to grab this if you missed out before. They also have one more of 3185 Summer Riding Camp for $124.99 (cheaper than kmart $128). (This set has recently been retired in the US). They also have the Animal series at $4.99 instead of the retail $5.99 [Woolworths, Lego Shop] / $6 [Kmart, Target], and the $15.99 sets at $14 (2014 ones) or $13 (earlier ones). The Friends Advent cal is $29.99. Older Hobbit sets 30-40% off. Edited January 31, 2014 by dragonau
dragonau Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 No ShopForMe Daily Blitz yet today...unusual.
santapj Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Went to Northlands TRU today and they're atill running 20% off all LEGO. Still had a couple sets each of the Silver Mine Shootout and the Colby City Showdown, for any Lone Ranger fans out there. Also had a few Echo Base sets as well as Jabba's Sail Barge and Palpatine's Arrest.
KartoffelViking Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Thanks 'KV', what did they have left ? They had a handful of tankers when I was there. (But I presume they are long gone by now.) The Woolies in Brisbane suburbs are still at $29.99 today. Didn't see other Lego on clearance. You guys seem to be in luck and lucked out That's a bummer, sorry if I got your hopes up. I wonder if these sort of clearances are regional, or even at the discretion of store managers Edited February 1, 2014 by KartoffelViking
jonwil Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Its quite possible that clearances like that at Woolies are done only in stores where they have lots of stock left that they really want to move. I know that K-Mart or Big W (or both) give managers discretionary funding to clearance items that their particular store has oversupply of and cant seem to move (including LEGO).

TeufelHund Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 My local Toys R US had all the new Star Wars sets and still has 20% off at the moment if anyone is looking for those.
