Many thanks to gavralcraw for the tip about 79109 Colby City Shootout - as a town/train MOCer I hadn't really considered the Lone Ranger sets for parts just out of habit - the Licensed sets are usually poor value in terms of parts per dollar. At $39.20, 79019 is a genuine goldmine for tan, dark green, brick-bricks etc (see BrickSet) and offers plenty of resale opportunities with 5 minifigs and accessories.

Picked up a pair from Target Camberwell (VIC) - they have about a dozen left, no other LR sets visible.

From another forum, reports that MYER has buy-one-get-one-50% off right now until 30th of March.

Now all I gotta figure out is which MYER store is easiest to get to and how many LEGO Movie CMFs I actually want...

Was going to buy them from Toys R Us at 3-for-$12 but the MYER deal is even better... (with all the sales on these days, anyone who pays RRP for CMFs is stupid :)

Don't forget to weigh up whether saving an extra 25c per fig is worth finding and travelling to Myer. Spending $5 in petrol/parking/trainfare to save $5 at the checkout could qualify as stupid too.

Except that I will probably be more likely to be in the neighborhood of a MYER store than in the neighborhood of a Toys R Us.

And I will likely have other reasons to go that direction, even if I dont go there for CMFs.

Extra incentive for those still thinking about the Haunted House, now $169 at Kmart Southland. 3 sets left on the shelf.

Had a look at my local Kmart but no HH - every other MF set though was still in stock apart form the Zombie set that was Big W exclusive. Given that these are now discontinued it's probably time to get moving if you still want them (they are a great souce for parts and figures IMO),

Toyworld's 50% off catalogue has no Lego if anyone was actually expecting any.

Also, on S@H, TMNT set Baxter's Robot Revenge is half price ($35), and the Sandcrawler will be $450 and available at the end of April. (Maybe mid April for VIPs?) So I already know I won't be getting that...

No email... curious. I was keen to get more elf army sets but there's only 1 left at my local. Can I find another $60 set...

Bit late but hold onto your receipts - lego purchases of $60 and over gets you a free ticket to the lego movie http://legomoviepromotion.com.au/. Target, Big W, David Jones, Myer, Kmart, toys r us and Toyworld are in on it... this may be old news. Offer ends 12/4/14.

I made the mistake of buying two $50 sets on consecutive sale days and can't seem to get a free ticket. D'oh!

We dont know for sure that the Sandcrawler wont be hitting retail in the future (after all, pretty much every big UCS/D2C starwars set has shown up at retail somewhere I believe)

Re: new technic, do you recall what sets they had?

I was there on Tuesday arvo and they only had the 2013 sets :-(

The staff member who was there said they had only just come in.

I do remember seeing the cargo plane, cant recall what else (I don't do Technic so I wasn't paying much attention)

There are rumors that the Ewok Village will be appearing at retail this year in the mid-year toy sales.

TTP Myers had the smaller and medium sized Spiderman sets.......but the one with the copter isn't even coming up on their computer system.

Might be an exclusive to someone else...

Its Shop @ Home only right now but if previous years are an indication, it will probably show up at David Jones later in the year.

The Star Wars D2C sets always hit retail a year after they were released online. So the Sandcrawler should hit stores next year. :classic:
