Big W has 10% off store wide this weekend. That brings The Simpsons house down to a more palatable $268.20. One left still at Katoomba :)

Big movement on S@H with new products for June, and free Balloon Cart set with orders over $100.

As already mentioned, new SW & Ghostbusters sets are up. Also Duplo, Juniors, Friends, Ninjago, Chima, Mixels, Minecraft, Agents, Arctic, The Lego Movie and Super Heroes. These sets should either hit retail this month or next. No sign of the yet unknown/unconfirmed SW sets, only the ones we already knew all about.

In separate news, I don't know if the sale is still going or not, but EB Games had some big slashes in PC & console Lego games yesterday. LOTR for $9!

Yeah, after I placed my order I decided to check the other themes.... it's going to be an expensive few months, and I still need a Lego room to really do anything with my increasing stockpile.

new trains are a must and Benny is calling for a docking port at my place

Good thing the only set I want from SW this year is the Cantina - the ATAT and ISD seem in line with their piece counts but the prices on every other set seem OTT. For example the new Snowspeeder with a small Imperial gun is $60 whereas last year you get virtually the same Snowspeeder and Imperial gun plus a Probe droid, two trench emplacements, speeder bike, Tauntaun and extra minfigs for only $10 more!

DJs Adelaide has a Council of Elrond, and small Gandalf vs Saraman for 50% off on a table near the escalators. A couple of cheap planet kits too. Won't last I'm sure.

Myer Canberra City had six PC modulars as at 14:00 today. Didn't check the price but am assuming it would have been full retail.

In less happy news, $15k worth of Lego stolen from a store in Melbourne :( So caveat emptor if buying city or technic sets second hand at a price that seems too good to be true...

I just got the Spiderman helicopter 76016 set from TRU for the advertised $32. It's tagged as $64 on the shelf but the person that served me said someone messed it up in the catalogue but they're still honouring it.

15k worth of Australian RRp Lego which would probably be around 8k anywhere else in the world.

Yeah Toy's R Us have a decent sale on.

Thanks to Alien24 for the heads up on the Spiderman helicopter 76016 set from TRU. They had a sign up saying they weren't honoring the deal but I went up to the counter with the cattle dog and the box and - woof woof - I got one for $32 - love a lego bargain! Nice 'roiding Green Goblin and MJ figure. The rest is ok I guess. My kids will love it! Not many left though.

Hi, Where is the best place for Lego in surfers? I'm a Kiwi coming over for a few days next month and I am hoping to fill my suitcase with great deals. New Zealand, I feel is the most expensive place to buy Lego. for example the City Auto transporter 60060 is $35.00AU, and $49.00NZ (not on sale) Even with exchange rate, I would only be paying $38.00 NZ. But on the bright side, NZ shops are the last place to stock old sets before you have to be mugged by online dealers

The best deals are at the mid year toy sales which happen in Aussie in June / July so depending on when you get here you may be in luck. Myers have good discounts and I think they are having a good deal on the Simpsons house from June 12 onwards. Also check out Big W, Target, Toys R Us and Kmart as well. Some stores occasionly do a buy 2 get one free deal which is like 33% off. Target had this earlier this year.
