hollisbrick Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Don't waste your time going to Queen Street, I checked Mr Toys, Big W, David Jones, Target and MYER and none of them had the Captain America set in stock. That's a shame :/ thanks for the heads up though! I don't understand why it's so hard to find now? All of the SW sets from the beginning of the year are still eat to find. Hmm
jonwil Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 If I see it tomorrow at Australia Fair or whatever, I will be sure to post and let you know.
Aussie BJ Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Under "new items" on S@H, the sets Death Star, Grand Emporium & Tower Bridge have appeared. I wonder what that means? Are they getting another run? Strange. Very strange maybe one last push before they get discontinued? Also strange that the new advent calendars aren't showing up under new items, they are under 'exclusives' though. Not a sale or deal but I've just order 3 Exo-Suits and 2 research labs and have had an email saying Research Labs have been shipped and a Sept 28th for ship on the ES. So even though it says Sold Out on the website give customer service a call and they will help you. Cheers Brendan
jonwil Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Mr Toys Australia Fair has all the August stock now. No sign of the Captain America set there or at K-Mart though.
hollisbrick Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Mr Toys Australia Fair has all the August stock now. No sign of the Captain America set there or at K-Mart though. Damn :/ Thanks for the heads up though, saves me a trip :)
Slobey Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 An odd one but toy world on Beeliar drive WA has 1 PoP Battle of Alamut for $99.99 on their clearance stand near the entry. Surprise to see any of this line still available. They also tend to stock a lot of exclusives that aren't widely available.
Civic Bossman Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Toys R Us have buy 1 get the 2nd half price on City, TMNT, Chima, Friends, Technic and Creator. Laybyed the 2 new trains, and the station and TRU Arctic Plane. Saved $155.

Luke_likes_Lego Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Myer Adelaide finally has Ghostbusters sets. Please no sale before Sunday please to justify full price purchase!! I hear you.....such a good set. One of the few I couldn't wait for either. You could always buy multiple 'sale' versions to bring your average price down :-D LLL
jonwil Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 The Ghostbusters set is definatly an awesome set plus the original Ideas project was designed by an Aussie too so what more could you ask for :)
brickie Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 jonwil, you will have to come to the BrisBricks LEGO fan Expo at Chandler in Brisbane on OCT 4-6 and have your set signed by Brent. You'll also be able to see how the car evolved from Brent's childhood creation to his Cuusoo project and now into he final set. Will the puft marshmallow man be next to make it as a set?
Civic Bossman Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Target Cannington WA had the City Advent Calendar $49.99
jonwil Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) I am very much aware of the Brisbricks expo and intend to exhibit at it (I have some nice MOCs ready to exhibit). But there is no point getting my Ecto-1 signed since I already opened it, built it and sorted it into my collection :) I could buy another one to keep sealed and get it signed but that would be a waste of money I could be spending on more LEGO to actually play with :) (like my exo-suit that seems to be stuck at a processing center in Alexandria and seems to be making no moves towards Brisbane whatsoever or so says Australia Post tracking) Edited September 10, 2014 by jonwil

Never heard of it, sounds awesome! I live on the Goldcoast but I'm gonna be in Sydney that Weekend It's a shame, would have liked to check it out. Is it just once a year?
brickie Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 hollisbrick, Brisbricks have 2 major shows each year; in June and October. As well as great displays, there are a variety of retailers at the Expos where you can compare prices for new and old sets and minifigs, etc. Check out BrisBricks on facebook.
jonwil Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Massive amount of stock in Brisbane CBD as of earlier today. MYER has Ultra Agents, all the new Technic (including the red pickup truck and yellow front end loader), the big power functions crane, the BTTF car, Minecraft sets, Opera House, Sopwith, all the Starwars, all the Movie stuff, all the Ninja Turtles stuff, the City set with the bike shop, pizza joint and red bus, all the trains, all the Arctic stuff, Architecture stuff and more. No advent calendars or Ecto-1s though. Bring on a MYER sale so I can pick up my Arctic Base Camp :) David Jones had the Ecto-1, Opera House, Ultra Agents, Technic (including the front end loader) plus both the City and Friends advent calendars. Oh and one lone Simpsons House if anyone is looking for it. Nothing worth writing home about at Target, Big W or Mr Toys. Oh and if the guy who wanted the Captain America set is still looking, MYER had that too.
