Toyworld Balcatta (WA) have all the Hobbit sets except the largest one.

I think that's normal for Aus stores not to have that one yet.. Luckily I got mine in America!

Haven't seen it mentioned here but Big W are doing another "family and friends" 10%-off-with-coupon this weekend (coupon is at https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/167065 ). Unlike the last one, they have wised up and excluded gift cards from the deal (so no 10% off MYER cards this time). Not sure how that stacks with their current catalog but the offer does say "including clearance items" so it might.

Catalog price + MYER One voucher makes most of the items in their catalog good deals bargains.

Assuming the 10% off Friends and Family deal at Big W stacks, it makes some of their catalog deals bargains too.

Got the deal of the year today. Used the 10% off Friends and Family at Big W (the original one that didn't say "excludes all gift cards") to purchase a $100 MYER Gift Card for $90. Then I went to MYER and bought the Ultra Agents truck at the $109 catalog price less another 10% from the MYER One "extra 10% off toys" (which for once didn't exclude LEGO) and paid with the $100 Gift Card. So in the end I got the set for $88.29 (which is about 36% off RRP if my math is correct) and based on current exchange rates as of earlier today about 22% off the US RRP.

Couldn't afford to buy the Arctic Base at the same time and couldn't get the people at Big W to combine the Friends and Family deal with lay-by so I could then pay it off once I get paid, Will probably bricklink the interesting bits (like the scientist fig) as soon as I can find a bricklink store in Oz who has one and that is fesable to order from (the one guy in Oz who has one only takes PayPal AND has a $20 minimum order limit and fees if you order too many things :(

I have just noticed that Target are selling the Simpson's house online for 279 dollars......not sure if that is an instore price as well ?

A little birdy told me that because the market got flooded with the houses they are now not selling and retailers are having a hard time moving them.

Edit - oop's silly me to forget, Toy Corner has their 15% off sale again and have just taken delivery of a fresh batch of Pet Shops.

Managed to hit nearly every LEGO retailer at both Garden City and Carindale today (everywhere except the Mr Toys and Target at Carindale)

Both DJs have stocks of the Town Hall, Palace Cinema, Fairground Mixer, Opera House and VW. Carindale also had at least one Pet Shop.

Nothing worth writing home about at any of the other stores I visited (both MYER stores had nothing interesting, certainly nothing worth buying 3x of to get the special deal)

Okay, so I have been told Myers will have maybe Lego trains as part of their next toy sale starting at the end of the month.

Plus Kmart are having another Lego sale.......20 bucks for 28 dollar city sets and the bike shop/cafe creator set for 74 bucks.

It seems like the deals going around as of late seem to be deals on specific sets instead of blanket %off deals (Target being the notable exception)

Is the TRU deal only on selected sets? The Star Wars Star Destroyer and AT-AT aren't on the promo section of their website....

Edit: It IS on all sets.I assume existing discounts will stack as well.......
