MinifigHQ Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Atleast SP3 will be out soon....ish.. If I was to have a guess I would say sooner than most are expecting I think Target, K-Mart and Big-W will all get some of the September sets "early". I think you are at least 33% right, possibly more
I Scream Clone Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I think you are at least 33% right, possibly more Gee I wonder if you are referring to this perhaps! Should bring a smile to must of our faces! These all say available July 09 Whats new Coming soon Everyday range Hopefully the introductory prices are insane!
DarthSion Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I'm surprised at some of the prices, the "tank" snail droid being only 40, the Sep' shuttle 60, i thought those 2 would be more, didn't think Anakin's Y-wing would be 100. Then Echo is only 40, but Endor 200. Still might pick up Endor if its out when the toy sales start, or at a % off.
I Scream Clone Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Still might pick up Endor if its out when the toy sales start, or at a % off. Good luck getting Endor marked down as its exclusive to Toyworld, so expect it to be $200 for ever......
Hewman Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 K-mart has 20% off all star wars toys starting the 18th, the only exclusion listed was console games, so hopefully Lego is included as well.
Svelte Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 ISC, thanks for the BigW update! I am really looking forward to the Galactic Enforcer! Hopefully we will get a good discount - they don't have sales as often but sometimes are more generous, knocking 30-33% off their big items (Hogwarts in 07, 08 Police Station & Troll Warship etc) It will be very interesting to see how retailers price the Venator. SW is loopy, sets are supposed to be better value at the higher price point, not less! Siegfried, thank you for your kind offer, my bricklinked Endor arrived today with some other new SW sets - and even with BL markup and postage all up about the same as if I'd paid retail.
hollisbrick Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Well Big W's toy sale starts the 1st of July so they all should be on sale (yay!)
MinifigHQ Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Gee I wonder if you are referring to this perhaps! Should bring a smile to must of our faces! jonwil Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Lets hope that the release of Space Police includes the release of the 2 small impulse sets (the last items I need to be "impulse set complete")
Svelte Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Lets hope that the release of Space Police includes the release of the 2 small impulse sets (the last items I need to be "impulse set complete") They're listed in the catalogue, so I imagine they will be on shelves with the other sets. Off topic, the Endor set is brilliant! Great playset, fun build, detailed interior to the bunker, useful parts, and amazing figs. It feels like a complement to the Death Star set in terms of the build and playability. Which makes it such a tragedy that it's so overpriced here - it's the kind of set you want two of, so you can have a couple of the new AT-STs, a few more Scout Troopers, more Ewoks... If it was cheaper it would be easily the SW set of the year so far, but who can endorse that price? Clonepants, you're going to have to bite the bullet at some point and get a copy. Siegfried, what did you think?
Siegfried Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Ahhh! It seems I was right. Hopefully Target are getting the rest! (K-Mart will have the dropship and Death Star.) Siegfried, thank you for your kind offer, my bricklinked Endor arrived today with some other new SW sets - and even with BL markup and postage all up about the same as if I'd paid retail. That's what I thought you would do. Siegfried, what did you think? It's wonderful! Aside from the doors not staying closed it's perfect. The AT-ST in particular is stunning. From a distance it looks perfect; it's amazing how well small details like the "Eyelids" work. The Ewoks are very well made and the Rebels are a dream come true. Yes the price sux, but at least that's where the disapointment ends. The bunker in particular was far better than I thought.
Svelte Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 That's what I thought you would do. Haha! Well, it's more reliable than S@H and the dollar is still good. I am *still* waiting on a S@H package ordered on April 29. I waited the 28 business days (since it had PAB components) and then 2 weeks ago queried where it was. 2 weeks later and it still hasn't arrived!
DarthSion Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) Oh that sucks, geez lego has too many retarded business ideas, USA exclusives, and shop based exclusives. Question, these big toy sales coming up, what exactly does it include, cos i would love a good % off on console games and get overlord 2 on ps3 next month. Edited June 17, 2009 by DarthSion

Siegfried, what did you think? I don't see the impulses in the catalogue They seem to pull impulses aside from regular stuff, and since we only just got the first wave in some retail chains I don't expect to see it at the coming sales, though if I do I will snag as many of the snake one as I can! I know I will bite the bullet on Endor eventually as it is a beauty.....dman overpricing at 150 or less I would def get two, so maybe one will do. It's wonderful! Have to wait and see what the catalogues show, I haven't seen them yet. Target are saying 23rd of July for sales start!
TheDarkness Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 K-mart has 20% off all star wars toys starting the 18th, the only exclusion listed was console games, so hopefully Lego is included as well. Sadly doesn't apply to the Lego, at least in my store :(
Darth_Legois Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 I went to the shops today got a Rebel BP from Toyworld for $20 (I missed out when they first came out), but BigW had the Venator for $198 but nothing else new?! seemed abit wierd that it was the only new set and it looked lonely being one of the only big sets on the shelf.
Izzy Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 This isn't a sale but it is news for Aussies in or around Brisbane or for any one planning a trip to Brisbane in the future. Mr Toys Toyworld in the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre has the biggest range of Lego I have seen anywhere. Ever! (Mars Mission, Pirates, City (Farm) Belville, Technic, Indy, Power Miners, Racers, Exoforce(?), Bioncle, Star Wars, Agents, Castle, Bricks Boxes... so pretty much all they need is Creator.) Needless to say, I stood in the aisle for way too long drooling.
DarthSion Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I know its slightly off topic, but is there any where that sells genuine Star Wars stuff in Australia, like the replica lightsabers.
YG-49 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I know its slightly off topic, but is there any where that sells genuine Star Wars stuff in Australia, like the replica lightsabers. Star Wars expo's could do you good. Goodbye... *The fast reply-man*
MicroM Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Was at KMart today and saw a decent selection of the new kits. They had the City (Garage / tow truck / pizzashop + bus). They had one SW kit, the Separatist shuttle. I thought I was going to be able to get it at 20%, but the current SW sale at KMart precludes LEGO. It's a nice looking kit up close (was just under $58). I assume it'll be reduced come toy sale time.

Really?, I went there once they had probable abit more then your average toyworld but not much (this was last year) I know its slightly off topic, but is there any where that sells genuine Star Wars stuff in Australia, like the replica lightsabers. Toyworld (atleast some of the "SuperStores") used to carry the replica lightsabers. most were $90-$200 which I think was the normal price for them (depending on which one like Darth Sidious's would be more expensive then others) Also Casefresh has some (they used to have lots but they'll be getting more in soon) I've used CF before and would reccomend it. They also sell lots of other SW things such as Action figures and stuff. Was at KMart today and saw a decent selection of the new kits. They had the City (Garage / tow truck / pizzashop + bus). jonwil Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 K-Mart in Inaloo had nothing new except maybe some Star Wars (I dont pay attention to that) The target there did have the Spongebob Squarepants emergency room
TheTacoMan Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I know its slightly off topic, but is there any where that sells genuine Star Wars stuff in Australia, like the replica lightsabers. For star wars merchandise, or any other kind of comic book/anime/pop culture merchandise, you can't go further than The Minotaur in the city. Its on Elizabeth street in Melbourne CBD, but their website also ships Australia-wide. While most stores will only have a couple of the replica lightsabers, the minotaur is the only place i've seen to have them all in the one place
DarthSion Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Thanks for that, i am in Brisbane. Does anyone know much about the up coming toy sales, might have to do a Xmas layby if they do it this year, otherwise it will be a slim year for me, too many good games for ps3 this year, overlord 2, ratchet and clank ACIT, lego Indi 2, Republic Heroes.
