The cement mixer was brought back earlier this year and the servo must have just in the last week or so. A shop I visit quite a bit even have sets dating back to the sad Town Jr. days, it's good to be in the City !

Was happy to pick up an extra Temple of Doom at $76.50 - maybe they received a dodgy batch, natelite, as one of them had a massive tear down the back. Fighter Plane Attack even at $51 doesn't feel like an amazing deal Noone around me seems to have any of the Castle sets, either. I think I saw one Trolls Mountain Fortress and a few Drawbridge Defences a few weeks back. I need to move further out to the 'burbs!

I need to move further out to the 'burbs! if you need something just let me know. i can hold a few sets for you. you can always use the train on sundays for funday price and pick up then. only the troll fortress is on sale...not the rest of the castle sets. going to wait for more indy jones and perhaps SW sales! was quite tempted with the crawler crane but i don't collect construction sets... the threads though would have been compelling reasons to get but... i reckon the price is going to go down even more as the set is not particularly popular with consumers. what's interesting is that even SW sets aren't selling as quickly as previous years. plenty of hoth and droid tank left.

Well, there's no guarantee that DJs will stock it this year if they have the Carousel as their special exclusive. The Tantive IV and Fire Brigade may well be held over until next year, since they've only been out for 2-3 months. natelite, thanks for the offer. Yeah, mine said the same. They were going to pre-order one, but they can't do it. Grand Carousel "just turned up" one day, so they reckon that 10197 will do the same. Bit frustrating!!
jonwil Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Hit a few places today, the Emerald Nights seem to be VERY limited quantities so grab one (or more) before they disappear. Also, Toyworld in Midland had quite a lot of old stock including: previous City fire station first release Agents sets (the large semi-truck one for example) Star Justice Market Street Sandcrawler special value box with the Darth Vader tie fighter and some other sets in it the current IR passenger train and possibly others that I forgot to make a note of. No sign of the gas station at this particular Toyworld though. Big W had a few discounts (like the City garage for one) Also if anyone wants a Pirates advent calendar, Toyworld had that too. No sign of the City advent calendar, the people at Toyworld said that they didnt know if it was comming or not. They also said that Toyworld will order everything LEGO will sell to them no matter what it is (unlike the big chains that often pick and choose) And more interestingly, Toyworld had the AT-OT and Dropship (and a fair few of them too) but at a price much more than what K-Mart wants for them.

They knocked $10 off it for a week or so, but they only seemed to do limited restocks. S@H would be your best bet. - Venice Canal Chase is at K-Mart now for 15% off for $51 - the Yellow Lamborghini Car I've seen for 20% off at $80 - LEGO doesn't seem to really restock many of the Creator sets (eg Steggy, Beach House all had short shelf-lives) so again the Cargo Copter is hard to find - Prop plane I've seen at Myer - Advent Calendar was released via Lego Club, it doesn't normally get a retail release in stores

Jonwil, I check will my local Toyworld, they knew nothing of any advent calendars. This was the same one where I found 7993 again, they had plenty of them. Besides Imagine If in Adelaide also claim to stock the 7993 servo, but a check of their tiny Newton store showed they had none.

Hi Lightingtiger, if your local toyworld is Athelstone (given you were at Newton) I'd say good luck finding anything interesting there, they have the worst range of Lego of any toyworld I've seen. Norwood is often good. Adelaide Toyworld didn't have the servo set but I'll check the city ImagineIf at lunch today.

Looks like only for the next 24 hours or so. They've got a pretty interesting range of Indy and SW sets. Pretty much everything boils down to a bargain, even after big adjustment for postage. For me, this is the best way to pick up Mon Calamari / Endor / Tantive IV... Also if you have/arrange something like a vPost account, you could get 10179 UCS Millenium Falcon ~AU$450 plus shipping. I haven't the foggiest how much that shipping would be, but surely it's still cheap.

I was going to hold off and see if it showed up next year at a Toy Sale, given the heavy reductions we've seen on those items this year I thought it might be worth the punt.

There's not much saving with multiple items for shipping though. Sale is for two days. Only in-stock items. Also, if you click on the front page ad it will give you details about the sale. Anyone checked out and had discount applied yet? They grab your credity card details first, so if it's suddenly out of stock it might not be so good. Already the republic gunship has sold out since I added it to my cart.
