New video on Lego.com, looks like we got a hint to some of the summer lineup

Nice! What color corresponds to what outfit?

Probably Green or Yellow with her caravan outfit, Sand Green or White with her school ensamble, Grey or Green with her Painting clothes, Yellow or Teal with her Fox Shirt. Will have to see what colours she's rocking in the summer wave. It's cool how it gives her more articulation than other minidolls.

Just realised she can have a Lightsaber/Flamethrower/Sword etc arm too for defending animals against Dr Marlon and Nova 🤣😅

They actually don’t make that piece in teal, sad

So, this happened

Review of downtown diner:

Nice! I just finished the grocery store... really fun build and my first Friends set in a couple years (though I still want to try to get last year's theater and art school, and maybe even the space center before they all go away).

It's really amazing how much more refined this grocery store is even than last year's one in City. The sliding door function is perfect, and the color scheme and signage are amazing as well. The truck is quite cute as well.

Since I don't buy Harry Potter sets this was also my first exposure to the new broom piece—love how it can stand upright on a stud and even has a Technic connection in the base. Feel like it's begging to be used for a samurai-esque ponytail on a Ninjago mech.

That happened to me too. Twice 😅

They are amazing sets, most retailers here don't have them anymore

Don’t do that, don’t give me ideas

i have the theatre and art school and let me just say, the theatre is the best friends set from last year

also, does anyone know when the next episode of the series will be? I’ve been posting a Lego friends meme every day until the next episode on my YouTube community page and it’s getting tiring

also I still need the grocery store, paisley’s house, Aliya’s room, cat hotel, etc

I was in sainsburys today, and looked at the new magazine. Next issue is still the old friends and a poodle for the next gift, unfortunately, I really thought we’d get it next issue :-( Usually though it was an animal one issue and a normal build the other issue, so perhaps they’re getting rid of excess stock and it’ll be soon- that might be wishful thinking though!

Not that I have insider info, but keep your fingers crossed for April that they confirm we’re getting 2023 friends

afrter all… April showers bring may flowers

Found some new images, for the summer sets I guess?

So... Straight back to cutting corners on paint usage by avoiding sleeves as much as possible on the minidolls. I suppose the sets are summer themed though, so I suppose it works.

I cannibalised set 41341 and set 41755 to make a new bedroom that fits the aesthetic of set 41369

Finally got around to taking a look at my copy of the March issue of the Lego friends magazine.

It comes with a black Foal with a stable/feeder build, straw, a broom, a grooming brush, a water pump with bucket and a Carrot and Apple.

We find out in the comic story that the black Foal is named Stormy and he is the son of the mostly black mare, Rainy that we've seen in at least one of the horse sets.

Savannah, Goldie, Priyanka, Marcel, Liz, River, Maya, Trevor, Joshua and Daniel appear in the story with Stephanie, Olivia and Mia.

Stormy runs away with Cookie, the dog from set 41718, but they are lured back into captivity with carrots. I mean, my dog likes carrots; but I didn't realise dogs were particularly fond of them?

Good to see Trevor and Joshua being a big gay pair of dads for 2 issues in a row now. Love the commitment to representation.

Wasn't Cookie also the name of Livi's naughty Dalmatian doggo back when Olivia was Caucasian?  Maybe Cookie is Lego's go to name for any dog who is mischievous?

Weirdly, the magazine acknowledges the 2023 reboot as they're using the Aliya's Room set as a prize on one page (see below) but the April issue looks like it'll still be the original 5 girls taking centre stage?

! s-l500

Thanks @Killian and @DragonElves

again, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for april

btw, I was watching EllieVs review of the mobile tiny home, and I thought “this might belong to Mia, it has her g2 color scheme, maybe autumn is letting Leo, paisley, and liann have it for the weekend?

Could be. Mia's been known to own mobile housing for getting about in nature.

So, I built the Irish Alcoholic set

Has anyone else noticed that nova’s minidoll is inaccurate, I mean look at the comparison

I always find complaints about "inaccuracies" like this a little odd, since for a Lego-produced theme the shows/comics/other graphics are based on the sets, rather than the other way around.

It's possible that the longer striped sleeves on Nova in the show are based on an earlier design for the fig that ended up simplified for production. The printing on mini-dolls is already quite complex compared to many other parts, so perhaps tri-color printing in alternating colors that fully wraps around the skinny mini-doll arms ended up being too complex to produce reliably, or too expensive to implement in a typical set.

Then again, there are other differences as well, such as the belt that the Nova fig also lacks, so it's possible that the animators of the show simply saw fit to add additional detail, much like how the designs for the Ninjago TV series sometimes include additional wraparound details on the sides of torsos or backs of legs.

Minidolls like Jordin, and Elves characters have had arm printing before, I just find it odd

At 480 pieces what kind of size can we expect? Is it likely to be as good as the bus in set 60335?

That bus is just over 200 pieces, so probably going to be bigger, I also expect a small side build, nothing too fancy

Based on previous info, the next episode of the show will be coming on Sunday here in the USA

who's hyped?
