[MOC] The Lucky Seashell: a three-mast privateer barque (playset)

I love how you used that cloth piece from that Indiana Jones set as sails! Also the green outfits all fit the classic feel. Overall well done and amazing build! Side note however, is there anything in the cabin?

If only TLG could give such a playable set these days!!! I am not fan of the sailors torso (they look like football players to me - I would rather use torso nr 76382) but I really really like the ship and its captain! Frontpaged would be well deserved! :pir-triumph:

@Legostein never ceases to amaze us with his lovely little boats :pir-love: What a fine cute barque the "Lucky Seashell" is, I'm sure that Cap'n Fortunitas and his crew mates will get to say their word in these pirate infested waters! Huzzah! :pir-thumb:

Thank you for your comment! :pirate: I will gladly answer the question about the cabin. There is not much space inside, just enough for a trunk map and a rum bottle. All of my ships have a hatch in the cabin's roof, so does the Lucky Seashell, but it's very narrow in there. :pir-classic:

That's a very nice ship. :pir-huzzah1:I like how you integrated the captain's quarters into the ship's hull.

Thank you! I tried to keep it as flat as possible, as real boats usually have more decks, and the cabin often does not stand out at all. It's a compromise between real boats and playset building. :pir-sweet:

Good looking barque. It would have fit as a play set well into the pirates waves.

Your comment nails it perfectly. That's exactly why I enjoy building these so much. To enhance an continue the old pirate waves. :pir-thumb:

This is worthy of the Eurobricks frontpage!

Thank you, Sir Governor! :pir-blush:

Thank you for your kind words! In fact you are right! These ARE football torsos. :pir-grin: To keep it fair within the crew, they all have number "3" on back. Can you imagine how many photos I had to take to finally have turned all minifigures in the way you can't see their backs? :pir_laugh2:

Thank you for the praise! :pir-classic: Actually this is the largest little boat I have built so far. Usually being specialised towards mini modeling, even this moderately sized ship, is big for me. :pir-grin:

Yet another awesome design. The first thing I noticed of course was the great sail pieces, I immediately was wondering where they were from.

Congratz, Legostein, with your three-mast privateer barque. 🫡👍 Looking at the ️ crew of Captain Fortunitas, it seems he has a bunch of rookies on board, with their clean shaved faces. 😂

I always feel like the green colour has been criminally underused in the Pirates sets, Imperial Armada had some green elements, but there should be more. So seeing this makes me happy, nice one!
