February 28, 20232 yr Kinda weird to make a recolour of this set in particular rather then another Creator Expert iconic vehicle where it would make a lot more sense. In a Technic set where most parts are pins and axles and only a few panels would need to get swapped, it's pretty dumb. I for one would just buy the replacement pieces if at all. Sticker sheet can be requested from CS. Edited February 28, 20232 yr by R0Sch

May 2, 20231 yr Now this is lame. I expected a blue car. Now, we're getting the same black car with only a few blue accents. Now how many parts did they recolor? 30 or so? For that worth, they could just have added the 30 extra blue parts (and a few duplicates of the parts to be stickered) to the original set and offer 2 color options from 1 set.
May 2, 20231 yr Agreed, I think they should have chosen a different set to recolor, maybe the Jeep from earlier. Edited May 2, 20231 yr by TechnicRCRacer
May 2, 20231 yr Maybe they just wanna test the recolored sets market again, like 2 years ago with the Fiat 500

And if set is dark azure, 31 of 40 piece is new in dark azure. And considering that azure version is more closer to original car than yellow I think that's ok. Edited May 2, 20231 yr by msk6003
May 3, 20231 yr I’m all for them recoloring sets, especially if it brings parts in new colors. (I really hope that is dark azure, the pallete needs some widening). I think I prefer this color scheme to the yellow one as well. Allthough I do agree in this scenario it would be cooler to have a 2 in 1 set with both colours as an option, even if the set is a little more expensive. Bigger sets I wouldn’t expect that, but I think it would work in this case.

If they will not limit the quantities and make also third colour, it will be showing which version is the most popular. Sure, some will but all version just becaus they can, but many will just choose one. Or will they?

May 8, 20231 yr Speaking strictly for myself, I certainly won't be buying any more than the one I have. Just doesn't seem worth it to me, for a half dozen or so recolored new parts anyway. It would have been nice though to be able to choose which color I want, the first time.
