Yeah, and it’s not even April yet. I mean, we don’t even have images or descriptions of the regular June wave and nobody is worried that it’s going to be cancelled. I wouldn’t worry until mid-May if we haven’t heard or seen anything else. Not that it can’t leak sooner, just that it isn’t guaranteed with D2Cs.

I suppose that's fair, but I think in this case people are mildly concerned since we only learned about recently (not that that necessarily justifies those concerns). It feels like these days it is pretty common for information on D2Cs to come at a slow drip over several months, so the new Ninjago City expansion feels like a little bit of an outlier in that regard even though there are other examples of that happening.

Fair enough, I’m just trying to ease any fears. Before you know it there will posts on #legoleaks claiming that the expansion is cancelled citing this thread as evidence.

Oh no you're totally right. To an extent I understand why people would be worried, but there's still plenty of time for us to hear more. D2C leaks are really pretty all over the place: sometimes we learn about them in detail like a year before release, and other times they get reported on two days before the official reveal. It seems like this new expansion, whatever it is, will probably fall somewhere closer to the latter category. To be honest though, the past three Ninjago City sets have been so great that I don't really need to see/read leaks, because I am confident whatever Lego puts out will be among the best sets to release this year.

I believe we are scheduled for a straight section, which would be what I want now, as I already own gardens and I have my own custom corner module. Im just excited to see where it goes, im hoping for some way to get to the upper level from the lower level. the only official way is that single person elevator in the original city set, which isn't suitable especially as no one can get the damn set anymore. Another small bit of news, we finally have a release window for the crystallised whip, better late than never I guess, but apparently something else will be released alongside it. Personally im hoping for a Spotify release of the Crystallised soundtrack, or the trailer for ninjago united. "Released in May" is the official wording.

Zane hood piece has leaked, seems to have an indent on the right hand side of it, looks to be deliberate so I wonder if we will get a flapping headband design like the twin ribbon design for Hanzo and Genji from that one overwatch set. Also the energy core shows up again, it’s a little bigger than a regular technic sphere so that’s kinda cool. Really hope we get some big news soon, I appreciate the drip feed but I want to see descriptions or blurry box pics, or a trailer.

Am I correct in thinking that there are no webisodes for 2023 Ninjago Core?

So far, the only media I have seen that tells the story of The Ninja's battle against the Bone Warriors is this UK and Europe magazine which a lot of countries don't get.

I decided to make a short video, mainly to let people know what Lego's official story for 2023's Ninjago Core sets is and to show some of the comic artwork.

The story, as detailed in the comic, is that the Ninja are training in caves under the Sea of Sands when they discover a hidden Sanctum and awake the Bone Warriors.

The Bone King is trapped on an altar within swirling red energy, and commands his warriors to find the 5 Bone Weapons to free him. It seems the Bone weapons that come in the sets are like an evil version of The Golden Weapons of Spinjitsu.

The Bone Warriors leave via a bridge which they destroy behind them to delay the Ninja and escape in their mechs. The Ninja soon follow, riding their 2023 Core Evo vehicles and Dragons.

They battle the Warriors en route to the first Bone Weapon but are unsuccessful in stopping them from reaching the location as the Bone Warriors use nets and create a sandstorm to afflict the Ninja. The Bone Warriors shout their catchphrase, where one shouts "In The Name Of The Bone King!" and the others respond with "In His Name!"

The Bone Warriors dig the Bone Scythe out from underneath a car repair facility, then block the Ninja inside and sabotage the Ninja's vehicles before escaping with the 1st weapon.

The story ends with Master Wu mentioning he saw a map in the Sanctum where the Bone King is imprisoned that will lead the Ninja to The Bone Weapons.

Pretty interested to see where the story goes in future issues.

My buddy showed me an interesting oopsy by LEGO. A picture on “AFOL Ninjago” Facebook page, someone bought the CMF Falconer...with a different torso. Blue torso, but it’s a jacket with two zippered pockets & a clip on nametag. The back has a logo that says “NG NEWS” in Ninjargon with the NG in black on a white background & the NEWS in white on a red background. With a typical globe outline behind it.

Providing this is real, I guess this confirms a suspicion in the back of my mind, we could be getting garmadons crystalized apartment with him in his “chill robes” and a brick built christofern? Would love to get some of the apocalypse paper warriors as well, an Antonia to go with the Nelson we got in the Sam-X mech and some other paper crew kids would be great. Hopefully we get Gale gossip as well.

Yes, I did see that. Very happy, and I’m also glad that they are trying their best to pick out the real stuff from the fake, a testament in my opinion to how reliable promobricks really is. The picture is now on Instagram, looks very nice actually. Can’t wait for the markets, hopefully we see the set soon.

Second this. ABSOLUTLY INSANE!

Love the look at what I presume is the heatwave dragon, and the jay titan mech looks great. The storyline already looks amazing, an evacuation and rescue of citizens as all hell breaks loose in the first episode sounds like a great opening and the animation, holy cow is it gorgeous! love everything about this! The detail on the ninjas hoods looks so good

So it looks like lloyds lost his powers, multiple dimensions or timelines colliding, that would explain the weird purple line on the art we saw for the team mech set pictures, and core suits are the  new main suits which im happy to see. This looks phenomenal.

Im gonna take a guess and say the the imperials are the bad guys this season, the set is elemental dragon vs imperial, which would mean the elemental dragon is a good guy dragon. The dragon shown in the show has no affiliation (as we know off anyways, it just stands there.... menacingly!) so it seems more likely that this is the heatwave dragon. Its also called heatwave transforming lava dragon in the set name and seems to have mechanical parts on its head in the trailer so thats why I think its the heatwave one.

Doc has also revealed 2 truths and 1 lie, they are as follows -

Im thinking the last one is a lie, considering dragons are in multiple sets and that we see one in the trailer.
