DC is in trouble as a whole.  I don't think this has anything to do with Ninjago.  Look at all the effort and new things for this season.  DC flash is flirting with disaster as the whole of DC comics media stuff including gotham knights has been terrible lately.  

The new Ninjago season looks very interesting and I like what I'm seeing so far.  My youngest son is excited to see what this season brings.

Completely different things. DC is barely breathing as a theme, while Ninjago keeps flourishing. 

Ninjago City Markets are a D2C, which means that the set most likely won't leak until a day before it gets officially revealed (which is probably gonna be mid-May).

Thanks for the words of support here, and especially to @Falconfan1414 for the confirmation. Hopefully we see pictures or info about the upcoming sets in due time. I suppose D2C sets are the most unpredictable. Either we have full image leaks before we even knew the set was coming (looking at you Ariel’s undersea castle) or we know nothing about it (sometimes not even it’s existence) and then it just gets officially revealed on a Friday afternoon.

Off topic, but what is the largest ninjago set from core 2023 that anyone has seen at Walmart or target? (or equivalent for international) because I’ve only seen sets as big as Kai’s mech rider, and I’m worried about ninjago set availability in general

Depends on the Walmart. As larger ones will stock the bigger sets.
My small one had the Crystal King but not the Golden Ultra Dragon or Samurai X Mech

Not a Walmart but here in the UK my local tiny family run toy store carries all the core sets, even the massive ones, and they do sell. I wouldn’t be worried.

Edit - It’s been taken down, so probably fake. 
 

So a new set has apparently leaked, ridexninjagoleaks put it out. Very blurry, box is black with white(?) cracks on the side, blue and purple background. Best guess is it’s the new bounty, colours are dark azure and black, with hints of gold. Looks kinda like an airship, atleast there’s 2 parts, an upper section and lower section. Cockpit at the front of the lower section, blue orb in the centre top section. Mini figures are all the same except one. 
 

I’m going to be honest, this seems really fake. Nothing really makes sense, the figs are all the same box art is kinda consistent with what we know (realm merge stuff) but this just seems a bit off. 
 

yeah if this is real I’m 100 percent convinced it’s an airship, and the method of lift is the blue orb. We know monkie kid is getting an airship, so maybe the same airship parts are at use here, leading to some believability? This isn’t exactly what I was hoping for though, I’d have liked to have seen another actual ship bounty like the 2020 one or possession, as we had a specialised bounty in seabound.

With the Imperior Dragon Hunter Hound we get a big, black and demon-like dog with golden details, which is accompanied by a villain. There are two minifigures from Jay and Lloyd. The set comes with 198 pieces and will be available for 19.99 euros.

With the Dragon Power Spinjitzu Race Car from Zane, we get what the name already reveals: a racing car for Zane in white with many light blue and a few golden details. At the front there are two new light blue, transparent blades. The car does not have a windshield, but it does have a rear wing.

There are a total of 4 minifigures: Zane and Cole in their new suits and two villains. One of the two is completely gold, the other black gold. The two villains have small gliders on which they can float and there is still a small flying robot.

71792 Sora's Transforming Mech Bike Racer

Sora's Transforming Mech Bike Racer is a vehicle with three large wheels that can transform into a mech. His Mech bike is white, dark blue and has small details in coral and consists of 384 parts and will be available for 44.99 euros.

Included are Arin, Sora, a villain and a new baby dragon. Sora's hairpiece are cat ears under a hood, while Arin with his orange suit fits the ninja.

71793 Heatwave Transforing Lava Dragon

The new lava dragon is quite massive and mostly red, with an orange lower jaw. Golden details can be found in the large horns, the claws and the small blades that can represent its wings. The head again consists of the large dragon head elements, which have already been used in other sets.

A total of four minifigures will be included: the two villains Raz and Ras, Kai and a new female minifigure at Kai's side, which uses Chang'e's hairpiece from the Monkie Kid series.

Skipping Lloyd and Arins team mechs as they have already been revealed, and the temple of the dragon energy cores as it’s a Lego exclusive and thus there’s no advance prelim catalog pictures for stores to order from, which I’m guessing is where these descriptions come from. 

71796 Elemental Dragon vs. The Empress Mech

The kite from this set is a blue lightning kite with a sand-colored belly and transparent-yellow details. The wings are probably made of plastic and the head is also made of the dragon head parts again. Both parts are dual-molded with transparent-yellow flashes.

The Empress Mech is significantly larger than a normal EVO Mech and no longer comparable to them. It is black and has many golden and transparent orange details and a large weapon. In addition to the kite and the mech, however, there is a third vehicle from Sora: a medium-sized jet with several blades.

Included are The Empress, Ras, another villain, Jay, Sora, Zane and a baby dragon

The LEGO Ninjago City Markets are the largest set of the Ninjago City series with 6,163 parts and the most expensive set of the Ninjago City series with 369.99 US dollars. Allegedly, Vinny, the cameraman of Tina Tratsch (Ninjago News), is said to be included as a minifigure, which speaks for a news editorial office in the Ninjago City Markets. Theoretically, Tina Tratsch would also have to be included in the set.

Obviously massive thanks to promobricks, this sounds amazing. Can’t wait for the new bounty, very happy to hear that the picture is a fake and the real one is a ship, although it will have the azure parts coincidentally. Zanes race car sounds the worst out of them, but I may change my opinion with the release of pictures. Mech bike also sounds a little worse than I was hoping, I’ve never liked trikes, but I’m open to the idea of a mech one. Thinking something along the lines of metal beards trike from TLM2.

The sets sound fantastic. Can't wait to see them. The distribution of minifigures is also pretty nice, with Cole getting the short end of the stick as always (we don't know the minifigures in The Temple of the Dragon Cores and Ninjago City Markets tho).

Wow, I didn't realise Nya actually only came in the 4+ set. I think she may have actually gotten the short end of the stick here. Total is £128 or 145$. Very pricy, although we know kai and Lloyd are coming in magazines. Im sure the other ninja will as well.

Cheapest way to get Raz and Ras are in the Zane racer, at least I think thats them. Promo bricks says that one of them is all gold and one is black and gold, and we know from the magizine leak that the all gold one is Raz, and we know from the poster that Ras is the black and gold chima looking guy with the same armour as Raz, so im going to assume they are on the same team, like brothers or duel servants for the empress. Speaking of which -

Lloyd and Arins team mechs - Krux (may come in other sets) - 80 or 80$

I am guessing with many of the prices as they are all in euros, and could go up as there may be a price hike. Finally,

Yeah, Nya coming only in a 4+ LEGO-exclusive set is definitely a problem.

Even if she comes in the Temple set, it's just another LEGO-exclusive set, which means you can't get Nya's regular suit in a normal retailer.

(The gimmick set will definitely have a different variant of her too.)

I’m hoping she at least comes in a magazine, unfortunately that’s for Europe only. I guess it could bring down bricklink prices for those across the great pond. Still, she should be available in a retail set. I guess with this many characters it was inevitable that someone would be given the shortest straw. I’m also wondering who the character with Chang’es hair part is? And who Rapton is? Maybe that’s the name of the baby dragon? Why would he be fighting Kai though? Or maybe Rapton is the name of the weird demon imperials that we see in the Lloyd and Arin team mech set. I’m also excited for the temple, it’s been a while since we had a decent standing temple that hasn’t belonged to the ninja. We had the dojo in 2023 Core and the flying crystal king one last summer, but the last regular or enemy temple would have been 2020’s prime empire temple of madness.

Interesting, many speculated that Destiny Bounty will have second vehicle, because of "Race Against Time" part, but apparently it doesn't.
Also promobricks did not said anything about Krux - maybe it's not him then? Just look-a-like because of bad quality? Or they don't want/not allowed to spoil this time.
I'm new here, but i'll say that i'm always interested to see villain-side of sets much more (The minotaur/tricerator/demon guys looks sick so far, wonder if they'll be as good in closer look).
Hope hound will not look ugly, like they did good wolf in Thor Ragnarok set. And the mech, it's still small but atleast glad to know it is not evo one.

Yes, there seems to be a good amount of villain vehicles throughout this wave as well, I’m seeing gliders, mechs, and possibly the temple, although I’m betting it’s a neutral ground area, where the 2 factions fight.

It's good to know which minifigures are coming in the magazines, makes planning much easier more convenient. 

I think I'm either buying Jay's Dragon, or the Imperial Hound and Sora's Mech. The former is so perfect, because it has all the characters I want that don't come in the magazine (Jay and Sora, plus I also really want The Empress and Zane). I'm not sure if I want to spend 100€ tho, I'll have to see the sets first.

I cant remember if we previously established that that was just a translation error from heatwave -> wyldfire, but its looking to be a new character, so sorry if I previously went against this. 

This character list is going to be crazy, I dont think we would get much of a ninja focus even if it was a focus season. Thats, 4 maybe 5 new characters now. Still unsure on who Rapton is.

Thats what im thinking, as this dragon seems to come in most sets, and we never get 2 minifigs in poly bags, but also a brand new mould in a poly bag? That would be interesting!

Almost, I dont think Coles frog monster should count as a full size one, its still got EVO in the name. But I'd love to see a giant, maybe armadillo or tortoise based design for a dragon, something very low and wide, like mining vehicles of modern-day. Guess I have a new project to work on, after im done with my current one. Im building another 16 x 32 city module in anticipation for the new Markets. Its a shame we didn't get any more info but it is a lego exclusive D2C, so I doubt we will get much till its reveal.
