This would be very interesting to see if lego goes through with it, it would essentially be a 2 in one where its both a corner and a straight module. I did not consider this, but it would be so damn cool to see. that may explain the monorail/cablecar build. Quote

I did not consider this, but it would be so damn cool to see. that may explain the monorail/cablecar build. looking at the image i think your theory is likely since you can see the corner of the baseplate but the building on the bottom story dosent reach that far. and the walkway is cutoff and it might wrap around the black and white building to the left of the green one, or alternativley i could see the reverse being possible, with the blue building to the right being the corner but that has a problem with the decorated gray walkway on the second story dosent seem to wrap around it, but the bottom story to the left has water surrounding it and the gray sidewalk on it. i think both of my observations could be correct but unless the building is two corners which i find to be semi unlikely ( i would think that lego would want to save the idea of a double corner for the last couple modulars), my queshtion is why dint the display the set on the boxart from the reverse angle than the one that they chose, it would highlight how the building is a modified corner and it wouldnt show of the exposed side of the blue building to the right. so i think my observations are incorrect. Fire-Ninja Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 (edited) LEGO has hidden a video from us on the Dragons Rising playlist, which will most likely be revealed between now to the 2nd of May, i'm expecting it to be a teaser trailer Edited April 25, 2023 by Fire-Ninja Quote
a guy from somewhere Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) As news has been kind of slow recently, I've decided to (amateur-ly) photograph my brand new Ninjago City module. I present: Ninjago City workshop: Its a 16 x 32 module that consists of a noodle shop (between a rock and a hard place), a hangout area above the shop, a smuggling cave with space to store barrels on the second floor, and then on the upper city level, we have the flyboard workshop, with cabinets for tools, a small robot (Tek), a rolling garage door, computers and a removable back wall for easy access. Above it, an empty room which I couldn't quite figure out what to put in there, any recommendations would be great. Access to this is granted by the walkway by the workshop (a door into it on the side) and a ladder takes you up to the empty room, and up to the rooftop. Up there you will find a small tree, a comms computer, and a shed with the main tower on top of it. I've also thrown in a couple of quickly built civilians to populate it. A few other features include the railing infront of the workshop can fold down to fly the flyboards out of it. Purple crystal can be found in the rock face by the noodle shop as a reference to crystallised. And finally, I must credit Instagram user @lego_by_kessel who also used the creator noodle shop set. Ive taken direct inspiration from his noodle shop ground floor build and the larger light nougat empty building on the 2nd floor upper city level. Please go and check out the other stuff he has built as he, along with wiskeyshred on YouTube, have by far some of the most amazing and expansive Ninjago City layouts. Harren Tonderen Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) That's neat moc! Btw Dragons Rising trailer is released Or rather'd say it's the "quiet" teaser without voices There's a lot of stuff going on, damn Spoiler Frog person from April 1st hints is real, there is also cloud kingdom in trailer. Sora's mech bike is apparently rebuildable? Like Kai's jet/robot from prime empire. The Orange Kid is Arin, now 300% obvious. Doesn't seems like it's Krux, the guy is old but he lacks moustache and wears red visor on eyes. Also Raz is default enemy? So i guess also the Lady with blond hair is The Empress, i kinda guessed how'll she look and nearly got it right - cyberpunk huntress. Pretty interesting. Ras looks awesome, like in magazine leak his face paint is more vibrant purple/pink. Dragon Hunter hound seems summoned by "Krux", it also have guns on top and mech appearance? Very curious how that'll look in set itself. Bounty is carried by green dragon, heh. Also we can see new villain helmets clearly. Guys from team mechs set have Raz helmet but in black. Looks fun ngl, i like it so far Edited April 26, 2023 by Harren Tonderen Quote
a guy from somewhere Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Ah, trust the trailer to release right after I put my MOC up. Shame about that, hopefully you guys like it. As for the trailer, HOLY DAMN that looks amazing. Spoiler I love every bit of it. The music is fantastic, despite only being a glimpse of what we will get for the season. Also, unless they have a major plot role that is being kept under wraps (maybe something to do with the dragon energy core temple) they are once again nowhere to be seen. Maybe their suits will be non-cannon like the scuba suits, although delegating Cole to a backseat role yet again doesn't sit right with me. Luckily we got their suits this time around. New bounty looks great, although the set one could do with some tweaking. Its obvious that a lot of time has passed in this season, Arin grows up, theres a new bounty, and no mention of the other side characters like Wu and Pixal. I wonder if they die in the merge quake but are brought back as the ninja seek Krux for his time capabilities. Too dark? Probably. I dont think it will be that extreme. New villains look amazing, I love the techno vibe they bring. Dragon hunters again? Also yes, I do believe its Krux. I dont see why they would have near the same minifig design. Sora and Arin appear to friends, although considering one is from ninjago and one may be from the new realm, this further proves the theory of a large time skip. Im fairly certain that the first episode will be catching the audience up to speed on the current situation with the actual events of the season taking place maybe a year after the merge quake? The new racing mech looks really cool, although im not a fan of the initial racing mode. I think the set will have 2 modes, one where it can be transformed between mech and race "pod" and one where it can be rebuilt completely into the flying mech we see at the end. New suits look amazing, I cant wait to get these in hand. Interestingly theres a scene where the 2 seem to train at the monastery with Lloyd. I wonder if they are both from ninjago then. The new imperial villains look amazing, I love the gold armour and flyers. Hopefully thats what promo bricks mean by "glider". Empress looks great, im assuming thats her. Looks like a scene where she commands Ras to hijack one of the race pods for some reason. The shot of the Bounty flying towards the floating mountains looks incredible. Love some floating islands. Theres robots that look like the zurg bots from Lightyear, maybe a moc can be built out of its parts. Im fairly certain that scene is at the beginning of the season where Arin and Sora try to steal some parts from a junk yard or something to upgrade their mech. It also seems like Sora has powers? She can rebuild her mech? The core ice dragon makes an appearance, thats cool. Another dragon hunt as well, love that. Did I mention the music.....? Really this leaves me with more questions than answers, mainly why does Jay have a massive dragon set when he doesn't appear in the trailer or marketing? Hopefully we see set pictures soon. Also can we get a vote wether to keep discussion of the show in spoiler folders? Im not really sure why we have done this, but just incase anyone doesn't want to see the stuff, I've marked it as spoiler. Quote
Classic_Spaceman Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) - My theory that the show will have a time-jump seems correct, since besides Arin being older while the other Ninja remain the same age, Ninjago seems to have become a kind of post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world! - I am not completely sure that Sora is a Formling anymore, since she displays a sort of technokinesis. Maybe she is just an e-girl? - Sora's transforming mech bike looks good, and it confirms that the catgirl is Sora. - Lloyd is using Wu's staff, which probably means that he is dead (as he alludes to in the clip that we saw). - We see Arin training at the monastery, and later using Spinjitzu, so he is likely going to be a permanent addition to the team. - The man with grey hair does not appear to be Krux, and Raz (golden helmet) seems to be a generic villain soldier. - Cyberpunk woman is almost certainly the empress. - Ras (wolf) seems to be on the villains' side, but as the only other characters on the poster are heroes, he may defect at some point. - I am curious to see how the Imperium hound is translated into bricks! - I wonder if the green dragon will appear in the Bounty set, since the part-count seems low from what we have seen of it thus far. - Baby dragon must be protected at all costs! - Where are Cole, Jay, and Zane?? - Could the villains be high-tech dragon hunters? - Is Lloyd using Airjitzu? - The Preeminent is dead, so what is that creature? Lemerbrix Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 BTW it looks like sora has a prosthetic arm of some kind, given lego friends 2023, the dreamzzz leaks with a main character having vitiligo, etc, this might just be lego's most diverse year yet! Quote

I was just looking through my parts and actually have a couple of vidiyo tiles, maybe I could build a records shop, although it wouldn't really fit the building theme. Maybe just a regular apartment will work. Quote

Would they really bring back another villain right after a season about bringing together old villains? I still hope it’s Krux, it would be cool to see him back, and would give a nice jump point of information to king onto. Apart from the appearances of the characters, we know next to nothing about this season at all. I also wonder if the lightning dragon vs empress mech will be a first borne situation where it’s not actually Jays dragon, although it does say elemental dragon so it is tied to him in some way. a guy from somewhere Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 So @Classic_Spaceman was right. The merge quake is only a small part of the season, I was expecting a realm hopping season with tons of new characters which would have been great. But it seems like Ninjago has been merged with all the other realms, which now means a greater expansion to the island as a whole. Can’t wait. The animation and colours look gorgeous. Can’t wait to see what happens now. We must get set pictures today, they can’t give us 2 trailers and call it quits there. I’m going to go through frame by frame and look for our missing ninja. They must appear at some point, I mean Zane has a car as a set. Oh yeah and the bounty is just straight up missing the front part of the ship on the show which is really weird. Quote

Nah, I don't think we're necessarily getting set pics today. I don't think Ninjago has ever had set pics released alongside a trailer, at least not as far as I can remember. As for the bounty, maybe Promobricks is right in saying that there will be a physical dragon included that rests on the front, recreating the dragon head prow. That would also explain what the empty space in the front is for, so the dragon's legs and body can fit. I'm also interested in seeing the mech-bike set, because Promobricks implies the set fully transforms into a bike, and the weel under the cockpit implies this as well, but we only see them race in the show as mechs with wheels, so who knows what the actual set will do. I think we'll see these sets soon, probably early next week, so it won't be long before we find out. Quote

THELEGOBATMAN Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Yeah, there are no Time Twins in this season. The grey-haired henchman is not Krux. Quote

It looks like the picture of the Bounty set is accurate to the show, between the missing bow, non-angled engines, and tilted mast. Maybe the front detaches as a small fighter craft or escape pod? 🤔 It seems like Ras may be helping Arin and Sora escape, since his hammer shockwave knocks the villains back as well (we can see not-Krux lying on the ground when the two fighters take off and chase A&S). I hope that we get multiple variants of Arin (casual with hood down, casual with hood up) in addition to his Ninja suit. BTW, who is narrating the trailer? I cannot recognise their voice, but it seems too deep for how Arin looks. 29 minutes ago, The_Fiery_Rooster said: I'm also interested in seeing the mech-bike set, because Promobricks implies the set fully transforms into a bike, and the weel under the cockpit implies this as well, but we only see them race in the show as mechs with wheels, so who knows what the actual set will do. Front cockpit is titled forward so it’s gone from facing up to facing the front. Wheels all pull in very tight under it, so it looks very top heavy and tall compared to its width and length. as for who’s narrating, im pretty sure it’s just some random person brought on by the marketing team, no one special to the show. To be polite, Ninja will eat actual mud. 1.) The Cloud Kingdom is appearing (and the Ninja travel there), so this still seems likely. 2.) Every other frame in these trailers has a dragon in it, so this is absolutely true. 3.) The villains look very futuristic, so this is probably the lie. 4.) Frogman confirmed! 5.) No snakes appear in the trailers (aside from a Serpentine spectator at the mech race), so this is highly unlikely. 6.) Rock monsters appear in the trailer, so this seems plausible. Quote

That would explain why Ras is fighting against not-krux. Or Ras just switched sides. But I think the target Is the baby dragon (Rapture? Or maybe that what not-krux is called?). The dragon hunters (triceratops guys) want rapture purely because he is a dragon, whist the empress knows something we don’t and orders Ras to get the baby dragon as it has special abilities (maybe it can undo the merge?) This seems unlikely, since the Empress, not-Krux, Ras, and the Raz hunters all wear the same armour piece and have the same colour-scheme. If LEGO intended them to be separate factions, they would have differentiated them. I am betting on Ras switching sides (or, albeit less likely, usurping the Empress). 12 minutes ago, a guy from somewhere said: But I think the target Is the baby dragon (Rapture? She seems to be in a position of power with all of Ninjago City under her control, so why would she give that up? Quote
