perhaps? but Doc Wyatt confirmed that Krux was not Rapton but perhaps this could be a Harumi type situation where they are hidden in the shadows?

I could see that happening. Also, from the plot synopsis, "a spinjitzu master ninja must train a new generation of heroes" - not Wu? We see Lloyd training Arin and Sora, but Im more concerned at where Wu comes into play here.

If jay, Cole, wu, and Zane go missing during the merge, then that would explain the wu shrine too, so I'm going with this as my theory

Same, Although they must play some role in the show. They appear in the sets! Zane has a whole race car and jay has a dragon, so why haven't we seen them?

Whilst its a new show, its still lego property. And we know lego doesnt want the main cast changed much. I dont think they would remove Wu from the show unless he either comes back at a later date, or he comes back in Wubot form as an AI based on him?

Two teens - one Male, one Female - and their cute creature sidekick embark on an adventure, and are trained in a special ability by older mentors - Which theme did I just describe? Hidden Side? Dreamzzz?
LEGO has retooled their flagship in-house theme to fit the current action theme series formula, so the status quo of the original Ninjago show does not really matter going forward. I fully expect Arin and Sora to stick around, as they are the protagonists of the new series; Wu will also almost certainly die, since he is now a redundant character (he was the mentor to the original Ninja, but that role for A&S has now been taken over by Lloyd).

Since the Imperium hunting down dragons to gut them for some kind of energy-pearls is just a bit too dark for LEGO, I am beginning to think that they are actually some kind of technology that stores and harnesses dragons' powers (possibly what we see Top Hat Guy holding?). As such, I think that you are right that the temple is the villains' headquarters.

Contemplating building a MOC of the racer mechs that we have seen in the show, im gonna get the vintage motorcycle creator set for the wheels as I’m pretty sure those are the wheels the mech will use in the show (same ones on the Kai raider from last summer) but im not sure how to make the mech balance? Coles quake mech had a bar that it could sit back on but idk if the racer mech with have that as well. What do you guys think? Is it worth building? Or should we just wait for pictures? 

Wait. Sora's mech is almost identical to the other racing mechs, so waiting and copying the design of the official set is probably the best way to go.

Probably just another of the gold or PDG warriors; I think that we have seen all of the main villain characters by now.

Gold, actually, and I doubt that - Remember that Killow is Human, so we have seen bigger differences between Human characters than some sharp (probably metal) teeth.

I think that Arin's Ninja suit will be homemade; looking at his torso in the leaked Minifig image, it appears that he is wearing the same orange hoodie that he wears in the trailers, so he probably cobbles together a suit from his hoodie, Lloyd's old mask, some stolen Imperium warrior horns, etc. I also wonder if Sora's robot arm is built from Imperium tech, given its gold colour and similar armour detailing.

In Nexo Knights Merlok "died" and became an AI, then in the conclusion to the story in the comics his AI fully died to destroy Monstrox. So Lego have killed off mentor characters before.

 

Since Dragons Rising is going to be an ongoing multi series thing, we could maybe get the big dragon as a set down the line sometime, like in 2024 or something if we don't see it this year?

First mainline theme summer set images are surfacing, with Harry Potter. Hopefully we will see the sets soon. The question is, would everyone rather have 1 grainy set image now, or all of them in hi-res with all the pictures in 3 days time? I dont have any images before you ask, its just a quick thought. Personally I'd want to wait a bit longer and then have all pictures in full HD and stuff. Really hyped for that mech set, and the temple of dragon core. I wonder if markets will be revealed alongside the wave or if it will get its own press release, and then, which would we get first? Markets images or DR set images? What would you prefer?

A fair point, but nothing in Ninjago is that realistic and it is still a nice inclusion to have a prosethic user on the team.

No the dog that hunts the Imperium dragon but the Dragon hunting dog of the Imperium.

The amazon secret world on ninja book listing has had the destiny bounty page removed from the image log, looks like they realised their mistake. Too late now im afraid!

After the “merge quake” the realms crashed into one, this may have been brought about by the destabilisation of the entire realm system due to djinjago and the cursed realm being destroyed, and what we are left with is a single large realm with qualities of both. A large time skip seems to have happened as well.

Anything else i missed? I'm sure there's something else

Really love this one, New mega realm looks really interesting, and a very sad backstory for Arin, which is also really cool.

Also a new look at Kais new dragon, seems to be a Wyvern and very similar to his CORE dragon. Bounty is flipped sideways and seems to be the old one, legacy, but Sora and the new dragon pal is there as well and Kai and Lloyd are in their new suits (with black bottom masks?) so im confused as to when this shot takes place. 

Again, still no word on Cole, Jay and Zane, although the fact theres multiple islands lends credence to the idea of them being split up. Looks like the ninja also disappear into the merge as well. Wish they would drop the main trailer already, I dont want to see too much before its even began.

Does this mean Chima also got merged into Ninjago?

I kinda like this visual style for show, some specific shots look like ninjago movie quality. And yeah, seems like lego showing a little too much? Ofc depends how many episodes are in this show's season, but like we already know about nearly all main baddies while without sets pics

Yeah, and we are pretty good at picking out details. For one, We have now seen 4 of the summer sets already in trailers. At this rate the only new set will be the zane race car, purely because they aren't in any of the marketing for some reason.

Just to zane so far. I have a feeling next issue we will see the first minifig on the magizine manifest leak which means we are getting closer. I know oni garmadon is on there.

just watched the trailer and rewatched in 0.25 speed, seems like we have an updated map and the Heatwave Transforming Lava Dragon at the end which seems to have 4 legs instead of 2

however when does the part at the end occur? it seems too out of place to be the beginning

4 legs? I too am wondering when the hell the end part takes place. Looks like the inside of the merge where the bounty and team are trying to help civilians in the first trailer, but they’re all in their new suits and have Sora and the dragon, but they’re stood on the legacy bounty? Maybe a flashback like “what if this happened?” 
Or maybe a second merge that undoes the original?
