though I don't know how she banished her if they're twins, unless she turned her into a baby first like what happened to Wu in SOG

So things that yet to appear in DR:

Jay, Cole, Imperium Generals for Claws and Guards, Zane's car, Team Mechs (also, i realised the green mech kinda look like imperium guard, shoulderpads and one eye with big hat), Beatrix Mech in action (appeared only at the very end), Temple? (could be one of realm monasteries)

So far it's not that bad. I'd say i noticed a lot of similarities with plot season, not sure if that's intentional

Ras and Beatrix are literally Samukai and Garmadon: general that works for main villain but secretly hate them and want to overthrown them, and then they get dunked on by main villain, who takes action in the end. Also imperium guys are dumb as skulkin, and gags with Rapton and random Hunter is like Nuckal and Kruncha

I've heard a lot of criticism toward DR, i guess people forgot it's meant to be kid-focused show? I mean, lego literally named it "Dragons Rising" solely because of internal research of what kids wanted from ninjago more. I'd say if you watch first ninjago seasons without being a fan like right now, you probably would have same reaction. My personal opinion about DR however:

Could've been worse, but so far as i've said it's not that bad, judging by first half. Enjoyed more than sotfs. Though, Imperium is sadly laughable goons. Beatrix was right, she is surrounded with literal incompetence. Ah Beatrix, well there was little of her, but i don't like idea of her motivation being just power-hungry. You can make 1984 faction as enjoyable antagonist, but as i said, there is not even good footmen there. The only villain i liked is Ras. He's absolute menance, unstoppable force of nature, even when he lost he fought to the end with pure rage. I imagine Ras is whole fearful image of imperium. But now when he's gone, not sure what they will do, i suppose introduction of black-armor generals?

Seeing reviews of 71792: Sora's Transforming Mech Bike Racer, the cockpit color is listed as trans-brown but it looks far less "brown" from the piece in 71780: Kai's Ninja Race Car EVO also from 2023. 

So I wonder if it's the new trans-black variant.

Edit: Looked at multiple reviews, and it seems to be just normal trans brown, but lighting can really influence it a lot, and in this case I suppose the dark blue of the set creates a darker looking canopy illusion.

Tommy Andreason did congratulaed new writters on DR launch:
"I have yet do dive in myself, but from what I've seen the reception has been overwhelmingly positive!  It's always nice to know you're not needed ."
which was followed by words of comfort by new writters.

This heavily reminded me of that one said-to-be-fake leak, part of which had rumor that Tommy was laid off from ninjago after crystalized. Also it was confirmed that he is working on Dreamzzz (i saw photo from some presentation/con thing), interestingly it was part of same leak too. Leak was cluster of random info bits, so obviosuly most of it was actually fake (except for prelims part), but still i find it suspicous that some bits turned out to be true. Am i becoming "that" guy?

He confirmed he would be leaving at the end of crystallised, so its been pretty well known throughout the community, the fake leaker just built off what we knew. He left on his own terms. 

Also a new image was revealed for dragons rising part 2, its not very spoilerly so I won't mark it as such, but if you dont want to read it this is your final warning. 

Picture looks like Nya and Sora stood infant of some giant robot that is made from stone. My personal theory is this is the old Sam X mech (looks like the one Nya used in crystallised) with the horn and high up shoulder pads. I think it could either be Pixal or jay who have been using it as a sort of hide out, it it could have either been buried in mud or camouflaged. Or maybe it just got muddy from some unknown scene?

when did Cole get a rumoured mech? I suppose your thinking of the shintaro elemental mech?

If you compare it to this picture of the mech from the wiki the head looks like it. It has the distinctive horn shape. It could also explain why Nya is in shot.

I am very appreciated who can recommend a dragon set for me. Or is there a dragon set recommendation rank list .  As a technic fans , I am not familiar with Ninjago sets, but I am a big fan of dragons all the time.

Started the new season and also got the elemental dragon. I've only built the mech and Jay's flier so far but the empress mech has got to be one of my favourite mechs ever from lego. Good shaping, looks, poseablity and size.

Got some at my local Lego shop, they didn't seem to have the Sora torso though. But I didn't have a core Nya, but I do no so I've got the complete team in their core suits now.

I'm not really the person to ask, I used to be able to check pretty easily from the store calenders but they messed those up, I usually just find out near the time from brickset or on here. That said I did find out that it should be double points from tomorrow.

Ah nice - Core Nya is my favourite core suit, tho I did switch her bright blue arm for a dark grey arm!

The empress mech vs dragon seems to be very good if you have the budget, i don’t so I won’t be picking it up but reviews have said it’s one of the best. Empress mech looks pretty nice as well and the figure selection is pretty good. for something smaller the Wyldfyre heatwave dragon also looks pretty good.

I've built the smaller Ninjago sets (Nya's Dragon Power and the Temple Battle) and they are really nice.

Ninjas' suits look great, and so do the hooded shoulder pieces. Masks are still a problem tho. They look better in person, and the covered face prints definitely help with the overall look (even though they don't appear in the series), but the biggest problem is how smooth and helmet-y they are. The small gaps between the shoulder pieces and the masks don't help, no idea why they kept those.

In my opinion the fact that the armour and the cloth are the same texture, making them almost indistinguishable, is the biggest issue. Had they been duel moulded or printed I feel like it would have solved the suit problem 10 fold.

 

also to add onto the dragon recommendation, @EricZhou the big core ice dragon creature is a pretty damn good set. Only gripe is the head comes off really easily, but other than that it’s a huge and imposing dragon build.

I think the January water dragon is underrated. It’s a better deal than the earth dragon, has a nice selection of figures and is a cheaper alternative to the Seabound dragon

I just remember seeing some comments several months ago - it’s regarding skeleton-looking weapons. 

So…i have a dumb quesiton but is it a polybag? If so, where should I find it? I just dind’t realize it’s June already and the leaks was ages ago.

Just buy any of the current Ninjago CORE sets with the Bone King & Bone Warriors as villains (not the snakes) and you get the full bag of bone weapons in each set, like how most Crystalized sets had all the golden weapons in a bag.

Thank you. I didn’t realize there is no thing such as battle pack or polybag for bony weapons. I will try PAB instead of buying sets.

We've had plenty of White/Orange/Red/Gold/Green/Blue Dragons.

I hope 2024 gives us a Yellow Dragon for Arin and a Pink/Purple Dragon for Sora (I assume she can't have a white, blue or gold one because Jay, Lloyd and Zane called dibs on those). A grey Dragon to represent Riyu's older relatives would be cool too.

A Dragon for Ras with his colour scheme could be fun, it's been a minute since the Overlord Dragon.

Well, we do have the 2023 core earth dragon, but I see what you mean
