Didn't see this posted anywhere else but I just saw that the awaited Mars Mission MT-201 Ultra-Drill Walker set is released in Europe. Unfortunatly price is pretty steep, its 949 SEK, about $156 USD, for 759 pieces in swedish S@H. So since I have so much other LEGO I need to buy I'll probably let this one slip. :(

ridicoulous price, but thanks for the news, ive never seen this before

There's no way in hell it's going to be $150 USD. It's a mistake.

No way its that much. It would probably be the most rediculously overpriced set in Lego history. 100 USD is overpriced for 700 pieces.

Oh I forgot that the US folks are so "spoiled" when it comes to Lego set Prices. It'll probably go for $90 - $94 USD "over there" if not for even less.

Indeed, they will pay 50% less at least

AU$99.99 at S@H so judging by the cost of the new death star set I would say it would be US$89.99 or US$99.99

You should really check out prices outside the US, you'll get a serious heart-attack if you see the prices (if you already think US prices are high). No set in the US will ever be "the most ridiculously overpriced set in Lego history" seeing as sets in the US are always one of the cheapest in the world (sometimes they're even more than twice as cheap!).

120 us$ should be the normal price for this set (comparing to other countries), and with Lego's faulty exchange rates it will probably be only 60-90 us$ (more likely on the low end of that) so there is absolutely nothing to complain about for the US, even if it was 100-110 us$.

This actually looks pretty dang awesome, when all the pod things are on it. Looks like quite a beast - Much like the other limited edition Mars Mission set, about this size - The Mt Armored Drilling Unit.

Looks pretty sweet.

Yep, I'm definitely getting it.

...provided it isn't $150 USD.

I want this set so bad! The shuttlecraft is great, very reminiscent of the ones in classic Star Trek. And that walker is both cute and deadly. Why did this have to be a non-U.S. exclusive?! :cry_sad: I wonder if it will be ever be released here. It's one of the best Mars Mission sets! Why would Lego make it so rare???

It's not a non-US exclusive. It's just not out here yet.

I love this set so much that I'm staying unspoiled for it (unspoilt?) - I'm not going to read any reviews or look at online instructions or galleries. I just want to sacrifice an afternoon to it. It's beautiful.

Assuming it's ever released in US...

Is there a release date out there yet?

The picture of its box I saw said "Special Edition" and others have talked about it not being released worldwide. But I hope you're right.

I really like the look of this set and 99 seems a fair price, i can only assume its a TRU exclusive but you never know. Might wait to see if i can get it 20% off though as SW and Castle are my priorities for now, and death stars dont grow on trees....

It's a TRU exclusive.

Just like the MT- Armoured Drilling unit, it will be a TRU 'Special Edition' exclusive.

Ahhh... And TRU exclusives aren't available on Shop At Home, at least to North American customers, right? So as not to conflict with TRU?

I believe it'll be available on SAH; Peril in Peru is a TRU exclusive, but still appeared on SAH.

No, examples would be the Troll Battle Wheel, Republic Cruiser, and Peril in Peru. S@H almost always has all the currently released sets on it, regardless of whether or not they are exclusives.

Yep, that's right.

This set is 75 Euro on lego website. So going by the lego's pricing this set will probably about $60. One reason they get them cheaper is there's no VAT.

Wrong!

Wrong!

Well, I'm glad to be wrong on this one!
