1gor Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 it would be better to use Zetros tires at the back (but do not ignore that Lego tires make machinery way to wide and specially at such small scale) Quote

So I'm with the group that insists T:G should release more types of tractor tires! Quote
Jundis Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Nice little tractor :-) Especially the fender looks really good! All the Lego tires are bigger than usual. We could always wish for more tires but I think can also be grateful that at least we have 3 tractor tire sizes available now :-) Quote

Now I totally agreed with you on your point. Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Nice use of the RC car/Ford Craptor tyre! It'd be great to have some of those in different sizes as well. Quote

Jurss Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Really nice tractor. I also like rear fenders. Front hood seems to be missing something. But that shape is pretty hard. So it is OK. Quote

Yes, most of the headlights are missing there, I tried to build the front using connectors but the result was not satisfying... Quote
Thirdwigg Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I love any series build, so if this is the first of many, I'm excited to see what is next. I like the features you have built for this tractor like the PTO and front and rear attachment points. Are you going to add any attachments/trailer for this series, or are you going to do more tractors next? Quote

Yes, this is the first of a planning series and the next will be CLAAS Axion Terra Trac, which only needs modifying the rear end of the wheeled Axion as in reality . Below is what the prototype looks like now. The next of this one will probably be a Case IH Optum, which has similar shape and dimension. I also plan to add some attachments for these tractors, but it will be a longer term plan. Quote
mpj Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 I like small models, I think you did a good job, very recognizable. And very curious to see the whole series! Quote
1gor Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) problem with very small models is that some parts like bullbar or scales are to thick with technic parts Building small scale is changing and I can testify on that because switch from 1:15 scale to 1:18 is much harder (for me) than i expected, so my hat up for @falconluan Edited November 29, 2022 by 1gor Quote

I tried to use a bigger idler at the front but failed to find a suitable part. The track is the 3 stud narrow one, so only the 40/24/16/8 can fit.... Quote
mpj Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Why didn't you use a 6x6 dish to cover the rear black rims? Quote
falconluan Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 2 hours ago, mpj said: Why didn't you use a 6x6 dish to cover the rear black rims? The diameter of rim is a little bit larger than the actual scale. So I used a smaller cover to make the tire visually thicker than it is. Quote
mpj Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Yes I understand what you mean. Maybe a 4x4 dish inside the black rim? Quote
falconluan Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 11 hours ago, mpj said: Maybe a 4x4 dish inside the black rim? Yes, 4x4 dish will be better here, it is thinner which makes extra weight addon possible. However, it is an aged part now... Quote
