Looks like I was wrong, but I'm not at all disappointed in being so. Getting Shadow's motorcycle is the floodgates opening up: I have no idea what this theme is going to produce or what direction it's going. If we can reference Shadow the Hedgehog, that means other wacky nonsense is up for inspirational use, and that's really exciting.

Look, Zavok has his charm if you like simpler characters, but honestly, I don't see TLG making him a figure at all. They would probably profit more off of characters with more traditional sizes like Jet The Hawk or Tikal.

3-4 characters a year sounds cool, but given this is Sonic we're talking about, they might go all in and make 5-6 a year.

(Please Lego, Give us a Jet figure, I'll feed him and walk him everyday, I promise  )

I'm not familair with Zavok beyond his visuals, but because he's in a team formed with Eggman and Metal Sonic I included him in my theory on the characters as I think the notion of getting a 'team' of characters will help sell and he's also an antagonist for Team Chaotix to fight for playability.

If they do go 5-6 characters a year, that would be great.

If it was popular to go past five years I think they'd adapt the Babylon Rogues (Jet, Wave, Storm) as the next wave. I hope they do eventually give us Jet, for you :3

Now that I think about it, the Egg Pawns would be the perfect figure to sprinkle throughout the sets aside from Sonic himself. Uses less pieces than the brickbuilt badniks we have and they would be easier to army build with.

Hello! I understand that it is very unlikely, but, if next year's two sets won't be the last, I hope further sets will include minifigures of human characters, such as Maria (whose name was teased in Lego Eggman's video), G. U. N. soldiers and the Commander. But, as I said, it's very unlikely.

Nah, those two sets certainly won't be the last, we still have so many characters to get in LEGO form

Knuckles set leaked, and it looks kinda goofy honestly. The arms are trying to look organic, and the lower body is trying to as well, but with the knee gaps, strange feet, and mechanical torso, it looks messy. The Rouge build is whatever, but the master emerald looks fantastic. It looks like the dress/umbrella pieces from the Disney Princess line (https://brickset.com/sets/43214-1/Twirling-Rapunzel, look at the 4th image in the more images tab), which I hope it isn't because the bottom half doesn't have any useful connections other than the minidoll body. Given that it appears to have some kind of build inside of it, I'm guessing it's a new piece so that it can be connected, but who knows.

One more thing, why does the mech use the black ball joint pieces for the legs? They already exist in red and have been used plenty (https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-6406930) so the fact that these are black just makes it look uglier for no real reason. Bizarre.

The character is popular enough that he's bound to show up somewhere else, and I'm not itching to get Rouge, so that;s probably a good idea. At least the Shadow set is good.

Me too. Because it's just the worst set of the whole line. The idea of a Knuckles mech is just plain weird. It's worth buying only for minifigures and the Emerald.

I. Um. I really expected that there was a mistranslation and that it would be Knuckles and Rouge fighting an Eggman mech, not . . whatever this is? I mean. I’ll get it, and probably mod/rebuild the mech into something else . . but why does this exist?

I couldn't say better. The set looks like a cruel prank from TLG... On the bright side, the Shadow set looks pretty good...

The set looks like something a kid would want to play with. I think they did a good enough job with it. As long as the minifigs are ace. And i like that Knuckles.

I think it's fine for what it is and it's great to get the master emerald with what looks like a new piece for the main body of it. I'll definitely be getting it but mostly for the minifigs and the master emerald.

Ok wow that is a weird set.

If anything Rouge should have had the Mech not Knuckles.

And not a fan of how tall the Master Emerald is. Probably will grab the minifigs via Bricklink.

TBH I get why they made a mech for Knuckles. "Super strength" is a tough power to convey visually when everybody has the same minifigure proportions, so giving the "bruiser/brawler" character a tough-looking mech is a good way to convey that sort of character archetype even if, logically, Knuckles should need that sort of vehicle less than other characters, not more.

Plus it allows them to work in design features like Knuckles' Lego-like plates on his shoes, a feature the minifigure itself can't really have due to the way minifigure feet work.

Well, Knux is skinnier than most of the other bruisers in the Sonic franchise like Big or Vector, so that makes sense

The Master Emerald is 100% the weird princess capsule-dress turned upside down. Which is pretty clever, even if the shape looks a bit off. I'd rather it be here like this than not at all.

I wonder what is inside. My best guess are more trans green parts to use as emerald shards if Knuckles/Rouge break it open. Or maybe it's...

Yes, but in the games or comics he can have that sort of build and you can still convey his strength through his actions. In a physical toy that's a tougher sell—the most you could do is put him up against a strong-looking foe, and even then you risk him just seeming outmatched, or overshadowing him by making him seem incidental to the main subject matter of the set (a very real risk when Sonic & friends' foes are often the ones who get the cool tech and vehicles that would make for more readily "toyetic" subject matter).
