Hard to tell. Some of last year’s sets were already revealed by mid-April, but that was the debut of the theme. I’d say sometime in June

I saw an article on brick fanatics about the super sonic and  eggman set.

We are getting all this

a drill vehicle in Dr. Eggman’s signature red, with a large red and yellow drill on the front, similar to those seen in the now-discontinued Power Miners theme. Two egg launchers are believed to be found on the sides of the drill and it’s also equipped with red-rimmed wheels. As well as the Super Sonic minfigure, the set should also include Dr. Eggman, Shadow, and two buildable enemy creatures. As a side build, it is also rumoured to include a small brick-built lab with cabinets and a desk. And Super Sonic will have a trans yellow colored speed sphere piece

Real shame that we didn't get any new characters in this wave but I'm still happy we get a handful of new badniks

Seems Lego forgot something for The Master Emerald Shrine

Where's the Master Emerald!? Don't tell me they expect people to buy the mech to get a Master Emerald.

Budget totally could have fit those 2 parts

Lol, that emerald shrine not including the emerald is kind of hilarious.

The sets look good. I like the Badniks. But these are expensive.

Tails's new expression being identical to the winking Sonic from last year is bizarre.

edit: There's a photo of Shadow and Maria in the large set. That's a wild thing to reference.

None of them really appeal that much. I also don't really understand them. None of them are particularly substantial builds - at least not for what I think they are. And yet none of them really cater to the launch game mechanic they have. Robotnik's drill can get hit. You can chase the fish badnik with Tails. It all just seems a bit half-hearted, which is a shame.

I . . I’m so confused. The Master Emerald Shrine doesn’t have the Master Emerald, but looks like it has a place for the Master Emerald stand from the Knuckles Mech to attach to it? So this set is worthless if you don’t also buy the Knuckles Mech? I usually like it when sets can be combined, but this feels sleazy . .

Egg Drillster looks . . worthwhile enough? Honestly, gonna buy for Super Sonic annd the Egg Pawn, and that’ll be that. 

Tails’ boat is also weird, but I appreciate that they gave him a launcher at least?

I do like the inclusion of the Egg Pawns, those are great. Don’t think I can justify buying the Shrine just for that though . .

I was only holding off on getting Knuckles’ Mech because I had a feeling Rouge would be in one of these sets, probably the boat, but apparently not. (Just Sonic and Tails makes the boat feel kinda bad value . .) Guess I’d better start watching its price.

Kept jinxing myself to believe one of the brick built mechs would be E-123 Omega. Really hope he's next to be produced. Love seeing Super Sonic  with a new head mould! Did not see that coming. Am I wrong to hope he gets included in another set so I can skip this one? Lol you never know with Lego these days.

I feel like he is bound to be made at some point in time, anyone have any ideas on how he could be included in a set?

I think they’ll have to mould his head, because if they make him completely brick built, he’ll be the size of a hulkbuster. But in game, he’s not much taller than Rouge or Shadow. They’ll probably brick build the rest of him. I could see him being around the size of the Superhero mechs. The one’s that sell for $15.

As long as they actually put effort into a build like that with working joints and swappable hands, I'd pay good money for that

Omega would be about the same size as an Avatar Minifigure if compared to Minfig Shadow and Rouge. 

They could get away with a brick built head using a printed part for the eyes.

Edit. Moc'd up my own idea for Omega. Prob a bit too big for Minifig scale but Lego's rarely in scale with licensed themes. (Second Edit with an IRL build alongside Team Dark and a Master Emerald for the shrine set. Can provided LDD file if needed.)

Man I hope Becky the Bear gets released in more Sonic Sets. I want to collect all the animal buddies and it being in only 1 Sonic set and it being one of the most expensive ones really makes finding one for cheap hard.

Considering we've gotten a total of 4 unique minifigures for the characters each year (Sonic, Tails, Amy and Eggman for 2023 and Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge and Super Sonic for 2024), who is the most likely to get the LEGO treatment now?

Personally, I would be very glad to see Cream and Cheese!

... But I still believe Sonic deserves a CMF series. So many characters... For example, Maria, whom Lego showed as a picture in the Egg-drillster set.

I would also be happy if TLG realised tie-in sets for the upcoming Sonic 3 movie (with some of them based on the first two parts)

Actually, I really hope they don’t do that. Because we’ve already gotten Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow. And Amy, who’s been rumoured to also be in the third movie. If they made sets based on the movie, the budget that could go towards the likes of Cream and Silver will instead be wasted on new prints and designs for the Wachowskis. And, admittedly, they’ve grown on me after the second movie, but we can easily make purist customs of them so I’d be really disappointed if we got regular human minifigures over new characters.

Speaking of, I would love Cream, but wanna throw my support behind Silver, Blaze and Metal Sonic for the next wave. Seriously, how have we not gotten Mets in three waves of sets? He’s the most iconic villain after Eggman himself.

Seeing Cream and Metal sounds like the most logical choice to make, but I unironically want to see Jet and Big show up next year too

Let them finish team dark with Omega, then do team Rose with Cream and Big. Team Chaotix is less likely but who knows.
