GUYS GUYS GUYS, WHY DOES BLUE HEDGEHOG RUN SO FAST ? WHO IS HE RUNNING FROM ?

I'm not sure what you mean? Sonic runs at the speed of sound because he can, and it's not really what he's running away from but towards. He's running to save the day, like most superfast characters. Understand? 🤔

It would be very concerning if I actually thought that, it's a classic joke from the DC forum where a turtle (god rest his soul) was a beloved part of the community, he's no longer with us due to an unfortunate tragedy.

To be honest, the point of a problem user being suspended is so that others DON'T have to deal with their behavior anymore, which doesn't really work if people continue to imitate it for laughs. Especially when you're doing so in a bunch of threads they weren't even active in, where people aren't going to get the joke and it'll just seem like you're being loud and annoying unironically...

Since everyone else is doing it, I'll throw my 2025 character predictions into the ring. I think there's almost no chance we don't get Big - he's the only main Sonic character from LEGO Dimensions that still doesn't have a physical version, he's fairly prominent in the series again, and in general probably the most well-known character that isn't already represented in the theme. I think the best way to accurately represent his proportions would be a small brickbuilt figure (similar to LEGO Donkey Kong) with a molded head, but something similar to LEGO Eggman's minifigure could also work.

Aside from that, I'll predict out other characters will be Cream, Blaze, and Silver, plus a buildable Omega in one of the sets. That would pretty much round out all of the main series protagonists, leaving the door open for future years to focus more on characters from specific aspects of the series like Riders or the IDW comics, like how Mario has had subthemes for Luigi's Mansion, Donkey Kong, and Mario Kart.

I'd love if the sets next year could move away from Green Hill and focus more on the Adventure-era levels. I'd love if the set Big came in was themed around Emerald Coast, for example.

Big, Cream and Omega would finish off team Rose 🌹 and Team Dark 🌑. All we'd need them for the complete heroes line up would be Team Chaotix 🐝🦎🐊, though they've always been the least prominent of the playable characters from the game.🎮

To add to your list, I'd also like to see Metal Sonic, Sticks, Chaos, Chao ( Cheese and Cholat in particular), super shadow, Delta, more eggs pawns and maybe even Longclaw from the movie.

That... Uh... Explains things? 😐🤔 I guess.

Thanks to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, we have a set list:

  • 77001 Sonic‘s Campfire Showdown (177 pcs, $20)
  • 77002 Cyclone vs Metal Sonic (290 pcs, $35)
  • 77003 Super Shadow vs Biolizard  (419 pcs, $40)

Metal Sonic and Super Shadow are awesome editions! Likely the only new additions minifig-wise, but we‘re used to that by now

Getting Metal next year sounds really cool, not gonna lie. but who'll show up for Sonic to fight against in 77001?

Any number of brick-built Badniks, this is not new. Biolizard, Super Shadow and Metal are hype though! Bit disappointed by the low piece count for Biolizard, it’s probably going to be smaller than I’d like.

Never say never, we could always get another secret new character to make this so called showdown more interesting

Have to wonder if Metal Sonic is brick built or not. As while a Minifig would be accurate scale wise. Just using the Minifig Torso and Legs for Metal Sonic wouldn't be accurate appearance wise.

The Cyclone is Tails' transforming plane. So I wonder if it'll either transform or have 2 builds (Plane and Walker)

Doubt it would happen but would be nice to get Omega in the Campfire showdown (Though he could also appear in the Biolizard set. Even if it's not canon)

Honestly, this sounds like an amazing wave. Getting Metal Sonic, Super Shadow and even an adaptation of Biolizard in the first few sets of the year is perfect, great timing alongside the movie also.

2023: Sonic, Tails, Amy, Robotnik
2024: Shadow, Knuckles, Rouge, Super Sonic
2025: Metal Sonic, Super Shadow

Presumably two more slots in 2025.

I think there's potential for those to be Blaze and Silver OR Cream (With Cheese) & Big The Cat (With Froggy)

Given the piece count I'd imagine the Biolizard and Cyclone are the only builds in those sets, so they'll probably have some feature to sell them better.

Biolizard normally has a big red spot on his back that you hit in the games, I'm sure they can do something with that as a feature.

Cyclone transforming is a good shout they could probably do that just by rotating the wings/jets on a joint down to become the feet.

I'd hope Metal Sonic is a figure, I'd lean to something like below being the best we could hope for though:

That could work
Though I do wonder if the new prosthetic leg would work for Metal Sonic's legs.
It's either that or he gets new molded legs. (Also bringing back the robot arm from the Agents line would work for Metal.)

I'm afraid Metal Sonic would most probably end up being an ordinary minifigure, just like Huyang or the Dark Troopers from Star Wars. But, yeah, let's hope for the best...

I think one of them should be one of Sonic's rivals throughout the years that could show up in the campfire showdown to make it a little more interesting, but the last one could really be anyones guess

I bet it'll be Gerald.

This set list is very exciting! I've been waiting for a Cyclone model ever since I realized that the Red Tornado would blend too much with Eggman's builds. I built one in Mecabricks earlier this year and found it to be a challenge, so I hope Lego can do it justice. Super Shadow vs the Biolizard is also very interesting, the Biolizard feels like a relatively obscure pick compared to the rest of the theme, but I'm interested to see how Lego tackles it!

When I built my own, I quickly realized the in-game transformation makes no physical sense without any disassembly, since the wings appear from nowhere, and the thighs and feet split apart to go beside the tail wing and under the main wings respectively. I managed to get the thighs to where they needed to go, but manually detached the feet to put them under the wings, and had the wings remain in both modes. I suspect Lego will make it work in a similar way to the DreamZzz sets, where the body remains the same for both builds, but you have to reassemble the rest to convert from one to the other.

Same, I think expecting otherwise isn't realistic. In all honesty, I'm not sure why everyone here thinks he shouldn't be a minifig. Sonic also has very thin limbs, and yet everyone is happy with him as a minifig. Metal Sonic also has humanoid limbs, so I don't see why normal minifig legs and arms wouldn't work like they do on any other robotic character. His proportions are much too similar to Sonic's in order to justify a wildly different approach.

I have to say, „campfire showdown“ is a hilarious name for a set. Has there ever been an epic confrontation at a campfire in the history of fiction? :laugh_hard:

Except for this of course.

Depends on who will be included. If we end up getting another buildable badnik like Caterkiller or another Egg Pawn, then I don't imagine this showdown being too interesting. But if we end up getting the likes of Jet or Zavok, that would be a pretty big game changer

I hadn’t even considered the possibility but if we got a brick-built Zavok that would be a must-buy.

Pretty sure these have been officially revealed with the Sonic Central, so should be fine linking:

Just waiting on Cyclone vs Metal to be revealed now.

Biolizard is a must-buy with cheap Super Sonic and Super Shadow alongside the brick-built Biolizard, function appears to be hitting it on the side to blast the power core into the air.

Campfire set is a little bland, but I guess it's a cheap way to get Sonic and you get some enemies to fight in the form of mixel-built villains.

Am curious why the launcher doesn't have the spring printing anymore. (Cost cutting measure/ You'd already have it from the first wave?)

Campfire set is a bit lame yea. I'd personally would have scrapped the launcher and thrown in another build instead. Not every set with Sonic in it needs that Launcher.

Shadow vs the Biolizard is pretty cool though. Though I hope we get pics of Metal Sonic soon.
