The outer reaches of Mitgardia are home to only a hearty few. Clan and brethren alike will withstand the bitter cold to protect the honor of their homeland.

Boy, it's been a long time since i've posted on this website. This is my entry for the 'Old but Gold' category of the 10 year anniversary Guilds of Historica contest. I have reinvented an old Mitgardian watchtower that I built in the early years of GoH with some modern flair and an upgrade in fortitude. You can see my original tower below (and the original thread Linked Here).

Good to see some old but gold builders coming back for this challenge!   Great upgrade, though I miss the yellow, the slope you added to the tower and the bit of frozen pond are both great additions.

nice build! the original also looked already very solid. but you gave it an awesome upgrade :-). I especially like that you kept in the lbg accents in the tower.

What a neat tower shape! Nice terrain as well, the smooth shapes you used for the snow are in my opinion a beautiful improvement compared to the original landscape.

What a cool build!  The dark grey tower is great, especially with the batter at the base.  The small structure attached at the base looks good, and I love the blue door.  The sharp, distinctive architecture looks good and makes the structure look well cared for.  I love the firewood shed and splitting log.  The black squirrel on the tree stump is a nice touch as well.  The irregular base looks great, and I wish I could build water like that.  I think my favorite part is the snow.  It really looks natural, like it recently fell, which is something I think is difficult to achieve with Lego.  The original build looks good, but you knocked it out of the park here.  The dark brown pier is great, and I really like the angled rocks on the ground that eliminate the normal 90 degree grid Lego is built on.  Love it!

It's truly awesome seeing a long-time member coming back to join this contest. Also a solid remake of the watchtower. Great angle at the base and those corners are giving it a very sturdy look!
