Fair points, but why would a Disney licensed theme need a codename? They could just have called it “Disney IP” in that case and be done with it. Then again, the same goes for other codenamed themes, so who knows

Maybe a sub- sub- theme of Disney? Like something from the Pixar shorts line?

Winnie the Pooh would also fall under that description, wouldn’t it? I still think it’s weird they made a whole bunch of new molds for a single 18+ Ideas set and haven’t reused them for a wave of sets rated for Pooh’s actual target audience.

Never heard of that. Maybe kids have. I guess we will get a lot of cats in cool colors and if it is indeed 4+ maybe some cool printed pieces!

Exactly. We’re definitely not the target audience for this, but the cat pieces could be interesting!

This would mark the fourth Netflix collab then, after Stranger Things, Camp Cretaceous, and Queer Eye

My 5 year old daughter loves the show and had the house for Christmas. The premise of the toys is that you get a sparsely decorated house and buy the various cats and their rooms separately, in a sort of modular arrangement. The house is cat-shaped, greenish (closest colour I can think of is dark turquoise) with a pink roof and different colour ears/windows. The cats are pretty far out in their designs, so I’d be surprised to see them as regular cat moulds with individual printing, I would have thought that they would be new moulds and/or brick built. The set with the name Lakotek is called Cakey in English. Certainly an interesting choice of theme.

This sounds like it could work pretty well in LEGO form if the rumour is true.

My six year old loves it too. And is obsessed with cats. I hope it's good, because I'll probably end up having to get at least one of the sets!

Googled the Gabby's Whorehouse names from the set descriptions and I suppose we can expect things that look similar to these

I think we'll get some awesome parts in these sets

I don‘t care about the license at all, but it definitely has some potential for interesting new parts!

*cue people complaining that this theme received a budget that should‘ve gone to new Clonetrooper helmets/Brachiosaurus body parts/ Henry Jones Sr.‘s hat instead*

Is it just me, or did they use the male minidoll torso for Gabby? It makes sense, she's a kid. Weird to see on an "adult" sized female minidoll though, will make for some cool OC minidoll characters

Has that got anything to do with these being 4+ sets and this being an AfoL site? I’m not the target audience, my daughter is though and she was blown away by the sight of them. It makes me laugh when I see people in other parts of the forum being incredibly bitter and quite rude about these sets, forgetting that they are aimed at their younger selves and hopefully future AfoLs. For what it’s worth the sets are a pretty good interpretation of the source material.

Sure.

I've got nothing against these but I think the way they've done the rendering, the colours and the art style of the Gabby minidoll itself make them look a lot like Mega and other competitor brands' minidoll lines. Which again, is fine.
