One rumour says that it actually was.

If built to scale, the Cerebro all by itself would be a pretty huge set... That's why I understand limiting the mansion only to the living part of the building...

Wasn't Cerebro being a huge round room mostly an invention of the Fox movies? I remember in the 90's animated series the Professor would just use the helmet in the War Room and occasionally on the Blackbird.

Will be interesting to see how X-Men 97 and the MCU both approach it.

Actually you're right. The original Cerebro in the early comics was a rather small device, which means it can even appear in the set in one room after all. :classic:

Cerebro non era un'enorme stanza rotonda per lo più un'invenzione dei film della Fox? Ricordo che nella serie animata degli anni '90 il professore usava solo il casco nella War Room e occasionalmente sul Blackbird.

Sarà interessante vedere come X-Men 97 e l'MCU si avvicinano entrambi.

mmm I didn't think about this, any pre-MCU sets will be based on the disney+ series which should be a continuation of the classic one, so the mansion will be characterized in the same way, or at least similar.  I have to refresh

Could also be comic inspired in a general sense, similar to the Daily Bugle.

however, last year Promobricks started February 9 with summer set descriptions!  It was a wednesday, today is thursday :-D we are already behind schedule!!!  :-D unfortunately they had started with SW, and Marvel had arrived last at the end of the month, but maybe this year they will reverse the program :-P

Promobricks generally would want to ensure legitimacy and confirmation before posting any information. Last year it was the 24th February for Marvel info. I doubt we'd get it much sooner than that. So in general set your calendars for roughly end of February for Summer info :p

I've heard rumours of some aspects and I think some most people including myself have expected one of these to happen since the introduction of the concept last year, however obviously just rumours and not much to go off at this time so no point speculating over it :shrug_oh_well:

so polybag 30653 is called  " Batman 1992"  ????

I think that's the rumour, yes. Though seen some refer to it as 1982 Batman, so potentially some confusion - I don't particularly follow DC stuff outside of just putting them on the list to ensure people don't mix them with the Marvel sets :P

Well, not necessarily. They could make it just a 1:1 adaptation of the X-Men '97 manor. Or they could pull from a bunch of different sources. Who knows.

Yeah, before the Fox films, Cerebro was just a generic computer and helmet. But here's the thing. The Fox version is iconic. So iconic that people on this forum literally forgot it was never depicted that way before the films.

It's the same thing with Mr Freeze. Before Heart of Ice he was just a generic evil guy with an ice gun who just happened to be stuck in a refrigerator suit because of some accident. In the Batman '66 series, Batman was responsible for his condition. But Heart of Ice was so popular, it became the backstory everyone associated with him. And not even the New 52 or The Batman (TV cartoon, not the movie) has managed to change that.

And there are plenty of other cases like that too. General Zod, Barry Allen's dead mom, Two Face's origin from The Long Halloween just to name a few. Not saying Cerebro is one such case, but it might turn out to be.

At the time the Xmen movie was so iconic that as a whole, Marvel comics revised their Xmen to be more like the movie. The Ultimate timeline is the obvious example. Cerebro has been a giant device in all media since the movie, and given what it is from a story perspective, it makes a lot more sense.

That said, watch Lego throw the IronMan-closed-helmet on it with some printing and call it good lol

I know that Lego wants to tie-in a lot of sets with the MCU for better recognition by the general public. But many die-hard fans will of course want some classics as well. I hate to get another set with all minifigs in the same uniform, just with different heads and hair pieces.

X-Men'97 or riot.

Yes, as much as they are in 'uniform', each character had a different 'design' to their outfit. Not the like some of those Avengers sets.

Wouldn't the X-men'97 cartoon be the most logical as well? That's catering to children too right, or is it gonna be an animated show with an older demographic?
If the leaked X-mansion is a tie-in set for '97, then that'd be whack. We're defenitely missing Gambit, Jubilee and Magneto in that case.

L'anno scorso era il 24 febbraio per le informazioni sulla Marvel. Dubito che lo otterremo molto prima. Quindi in generale imposta i tuoi calendari per circa la fine di febbraio per le informazioni estive :p

Yes, I remember, but they started on the 9th with Star Wars, I would have expected something similar for this year… I guess I'll find out within a few days, if the weekend passes without lists it means that they have changed the formula… can you tell me about these "voices" you've heard?  even private if you don't want to clog the topic

Ci mancano decisamente Gambit, Jubilee e Magneto in quel caso.

if the theme returns to coincide with the disney series I really think it will be based on it (and last year's wolverine could be a confirmation)

Magneto was in the leaked X-Mansion pic. We're just missing Jean Grey, Rogue, Gambit and Jubilee from the original 90s animated team, but that's nothing a single set like the Blackbird can fix in the summer wave or early 2024.

It seemed very early prototype stages, so chances are if it released it'd be late 2024, probably close to Deadpool 3. If Lego wanted they could do a comic Deadpool polybag with purchases of a certain amount or purchases of the X-Men Mansion. So if a Blackbird set did occur it'd probably be Summer 2025 :shrug_oh_well:

Honestly I just don’t see this. This rumor might be false. Or at the very least leaving out that Minfigs are also in the set
