I watched the video but I understood very little :-) it's true, June brings very little but I'm still curious about the Cap and Widow minifigures, and above all I want to talk and read something new, these periods of silence are unbearable :-D
Legocentrico Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 SW set revealed is from June. maybe even superheroes are coming

Eaglefan344 Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 The black panther bust is 40% off on Lego Shop. I can’t ever remember a big set being discounted that much that soon.

I wonder if it's going to drop further. Maybe it's seen some success with the general market, but even the biggest fans of it on this forum (of which there are hardly any) seemed to think it had major flaws and was way too expensive.

Maybe it's seen some success with the general market, but even the biggest fans of it on this forum (of which there are hardly any) seemed to think it had major flaws and was way too expensive. I actually bought the bust back in January. I paid full price for it directly at the store. I really like it. I didn't buy it because I'm a huge BP fan or anything like that... I'm just a HUGE Marvel fan, particularly the MCU, in general. I got it because 1st, I'm a Marvel LEGO completionist. I feel compelled to buy EVERY SINGLE set, regardless of how much I particularly like each one. Like, for example, I really hated myself for buying ANOTHER Hulkbuster in January! Even though that was probably the best one so far 😁🤷♀️. And 2nd, we lost my Mom, who was my best friend & LEGO Buddy, on Christmas Eve this past year, "22. So, it was a really impulsive, emotional buy that was like "Retail Therapy" for me at the time... BUT, I totally agree that there were some drawbacks, some poor design spots with major structural weaknesses, and yeah... it cost too damn much! Like I said, I do like it, I like the scale and sizing of it, and honestly this piece totally befuddled me when it came out! I couldn't understand the reasoning for doing this type/sized bust when it seemed as though the previous scale sets were popular & successful. However, after watching the documentary BP: In Search of Wakanda on Disney+, I understand SO MUCH better now why it was created as it was. It's NOTHING about LEGO or anything, but it venerated the iconography of the "BP Stance". So, that made me like it a lot more, too! But, yes, it FOR SURE has flaws! I saw that the Hulkbuster, 76210, is on Walmart, Target, and Amazon for $450... I'm trying to decide whether or not I should just go for it, as completionist or not, I haven't been able to justify it at $550!!

CodFather1 Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Just want to say that the Guardians Sets are already at a 20% discount on Myer's online store in Australia, with the Bowie at 127.99, Rocket's Spaceship at $39.99, and the Headquarters at $14.39
Scarilian Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 (edited) I must admit that some of the April Fool's stuff has got me wanting more older legacy sets such as legacy Raimi Spider-man sets. I really hope that if the MCU does get pushed back or delayed due to all the things going wrong that Lego will explore more of the older stuff or even go into the comics inspired stuff. 12 hours ago, Eaglefan344 said: I’d be surprised if that one doesn’t see a larger discount soon The Hulkbuster I've at least seen people buying for the sake of modifying or generally for the pieces. It's a substantial and impressive set even if it's not particularly priced well, visually accurate, etc... I think it'll go on discounts near the end of its life span but I'm not sure how far it'll drop. On Ebay I've generally seen it going for around 30% off RRP and I managed to pick it up cheaper for the sake of attempting a modification. Speaking of which, if you've been following @Ransom Fern his Hulkbuster is looking pretty impressive. I think anyone considering getting the official set may want to look into his design at least when we get more images and consider modifying it. I'm personally attempting to figure out advanced articulation and been ordering parts but it is a long term project of mine that I doubt will be completed anytime soon. Star Wars is a major W, marvel seems to be a major W, even DC is getting a revival. Just wow.

neithan Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 For now, this is the most disappointing Lego Year in a long time - at least when it comes to licensed themes (in my opinion). Nothing interesting in Star Wars, nothing in Marvel, LotR only gets one super expensive Set... Fingers crossed for the second half of the year. Looking on the bright side: Lots of money saved!
Kaijumeister Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 (edited) I just realised that in the Winter Soldier film, there is technically a bike ‘chase’ scene when Steve escapes S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters and gets run down by that Quinjet, he’s even wearing the Stealth Suit in that scene. Could that be what the smaller summer Infinity Saga set is loosely based on? With Black Widow and potentially the Winter Soldier thrown in for desirability, the set could even be paired up with the January Quinjet set to enact the full scene. Could be anything I guess! If it is based on that TWS scene, I do hope we get the shield piece in the blue / white colour scheme, even if it’s not technically accurate to the scene.
BrickBob Studpants Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 No matter what it’s based on, I don’t think we can expect anything all that interesting here. We don’t even know whether it’s based on the MCU
