Another iron man, cap and widow would have awful. Those guys are normal set material and I'd rather have new characters than new costumes.

No, with Cmf level quality any Iron man suit would look amazing. Cap and Widow versions would have been amazing inclusion since Lego doesn’t seem to want to make those versions of them. Plus they all are Mcu A-listers so they would have sold great. But instead we have Echo( I’ve never heard somebody say she is their favorite character) and boring Werewolf.

Non proprio una faccia, ma la visiera del casco di Golia è blu. Quindi questo potrebbe essere parte della confusione.

  • (Regular head and second blue head)
  • New helmet mould

there is talk of two heads and a helmet. I see no possibility of confusion

and in any case BC has confirmed that he has seen preliminary images, probably the same ones of Promobricks etc, I think that with a minimum of marvel knowledge it is impossible to confuse the two characters……. also to me it seems very unlikely that all those who have published a list have made the same mistake randomly on the same character ……

That aside, i think the leakers just misread Goliath for Kang. I hope it’s Laurence Fishburne in there. Love that dude.

Hasn‘t he recently confirmed that he‘s reprising his role for the second season of What if…? :classic:

Also, I don‘t get why people want characters like Iron Man or Cap to be featured in a 12 figure series. I‘ll take characters like Echo or Agatha that are very unlikely to appear in sets over overabundant A-listers any day

This looks like a decent-enough CMF series to be fair, but I can’t say the lineup ‘wows’ me that much.

Moon Knight and Mr. Knight are probably my most anticipated as I loved the show -I appreciate the crescent blades and hood are new moulds and they look great - the latter would be perfect for some custom Assassin’s Creed minifigures too.

Hawkeye seems to have the Ronin outfit in which case he’ll be a definite buy, and I hope Wolverine has something new to him that warrants a CMF spot.

Overall, it’s good enough. Another so-so year for Lego Marvel I’d say.

Those of us who don't have Disney+ don't even know who Echo and Agatha ARE. Personally, I totally get why people would have preferred rare versions of popular movie characters, or rare movie characters like Captain Marvel (so we won't have to buy a 420 pieces EUR 90 set for her). Obviously that's not the route they're going, but that doesn't make movie fans wrong for wishing they would.

While I vastly prefer movies over shows and agree that a lot of the MCU shows are pretty mediocre (and would‘ve been much better served as movies with a lot of the unnecessary fat trimmed), I still wouldn‘t want a CMF series filled with A-listers who constantly appear in sets anyway. And the increased budget is not a good argument to me, given how detailed a lot of the Iron Man minifigs already are :shrug_oh_well:

To me, that‘s like saying that Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy should have replaced four characters from Disney S3. Or saying that a third Potter series would need Dumbledore, Luna, and Neville again

Not true, he was in Loki first (and no one showed up to watch Ant-Man at theaters) so if anything he's a Loki villain

True, but that wasn't Kang. Just a variant of him who's played by the same actor. He looks (the costume) and acts nothing like Kang.

Even casual MCU followers know Kang is the new "Thanos." No idea where you're getting this from.

No they don't.

He was in a single movie that people not only didn't like, but barely have seen it, since it's one of the lowest grossing MCU movies.

He was introduced in an Ant-Man movie. He died in an Ant-Man movie. No one knows what's going on, and especially the general audience.

I feel like the role social media has to play in this is way understated - like 75% of the people who usually beg for ‘comic accuracy’ don’t read comics at all, they just see a couple panels online. In that vein, a lot of people know who Kang is despite not necessarily seeing him in a movie. Plus, Majors’ situation is being relatively heavily discussed online. And that’s not to mention Kang’s presence in some animated shows, and that kind of thing. He was in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes - even the second LEGO Marvel game.

If by ‘general audience’ you mean like very young children and their parents, I guess you’re right, but I think anyone 13+ with any investment in Marvel probably knows a bit about him.

I would also like to see a dual moulded Iron Man (the difference in gold on the mk 85 (?) has always bothered me a little) however I feel like this of all years we could get the best of both worlds with the CMF providing new characters and the Avengers Tower giving us new versions of the core cast.

I can't remember what's been confirmed but it's not outside the realm of possibility that Endgame Iron Man shows up in the tower thanks to the time travel scenes. I don't expect it to happen (not do I expect top quality figs after the Sanctum) but it could.

All we know is that there are two Iron Man armours - but given there are a lot of characters who’ve never even been in the tower, I don’t think we can count out the possibility of *any* suit showing up.

not to be harsh but i think anyone who thinks hawkeye is ronin in this is a little delusional. he doesnt have the hood (and rumors dont say he does) he comes with the owl from the finale, and it would be strange to have final suit kate with a hawkeye suit thats never in the same scene as her, although i suppose one could argue moon and mr knight dont make sense together either. if im wrong im wrong i just dont see it making much sense

I'm not much into Disney, but as for HP: The difference here is that all HP fans have either seen the movies, or read the books, or both. So if you pick a bunch of more obscure characters like, to give just one example, Griphook, everyone will still know who they are. Marvel, meanwhile, has chosen to paywall most of its recent content behind a streaming service membership. So there are plenty of Marvel fans like myself who enjoyed the MCU right up to Endgame (plus GotG 3) but haven't followed all the Disney+ series and all the more recent movies that are so heavily tied into the Disney+ series content as to barely make sense without it. Therefore, focussing this heavily on Disney+ series characters is doing a disservice to fans of the older movie-based content; that's all I'm saying.

Yeah but dude the mcu goes on even if you don't like it :-D

I personally hated Moon Knight but his minifigure is probably my favorite so it means lego is still doing a good job

At least the quality talk makes sense, somehow. I read so many complaints about the choice of minifigures when we've known the list for months now :-D

Yeah, that doesn‘t make much sense to me either. Why are the choices being so heavily criticised right now, rather than in spring when the list was first leaked? Did people secretly hope the list was somehow wrong? Granted, one character was, but that‘s beside the point.

Say what you will about the choices, but the execution looks great! Dual-moulding, arm-printing, new hairpieces, new animal sidekicks, and so on.

And why is Agatha one of the characters being singled out? I remember people being very unhappy about her exclusion in Series 1, and now people are annoyed with her inclusion :snicker:

Seems worse than CMF series 1. Also I'm not seeing alot of unique/new molds either.

CmF series 1 had a ton of big parts that made it amazing value, I.e. Falcon's wings, Spidey's rope piece, Wanda's headpiece, etc.

The image does seem to present less molds than the first series, but there are also plenty of accessories we haven't seen yet. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

In any case this Cmf is just a wasted opportunity. They could have made highly detailed Iron Man suit with dual molded legs and printed arms, stealth suit Cap or Black Widow from Endgame. Instead we get Echo(why are Lego so bad with their choices?!)…

It's reasonable for a company like Lego to market characters simultaneously with their partner group. Iron Man and Captain America are neat, but they're not really around any more, whereas we are getting shows for Echo, X-Men, etc. in the following months.

well the first series only has 10 new molds (7 not counting the croc and  Sam and T'Challa's hairs as i don't remember if they were new at the time) and this one has at least 8 that I can tell, maybe 9 if echo's hair is new, and as you said we've yet to see a lot of accessories, but regardless its still about the same

Or course not. An Infinity Saga CMF sounds awesome, personally. But for the time being, Lego is choosing to reserve their Disney+ shows and characters for CMFs, so relative to what the CMF is, I think the lineup is really good (although I still wish we had gotten Daredevil).

Just realized Promobricks initial list of included Mini-figures described Kang as the "blue version." It was literally Goliath the whole time.

Echo's looks like it might be the same piece used on the CMF Dino Tracker from Series 12.

Well from the first series and what if..? We can surmise that animated shows will get sets (what if…? And x-men 97’) and the live action shows will be in the cmf as there are too many shows to have sets.

Sure, but if they want a lot of people to buy merchandise, they might consider sticking to merchandise of characters many people know and care about.

I'm very much a casual MCU fan, so I'll refrain from voicing my opinion on which characters should have or should not have been included.

However, I loved both Agatha Harkness and Moon Knight in their respective Disney+ shows, so I am looking forward to picking up both of those figures!
