hikouki Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 After all the mechs, now it’s waves of buildables…

Also I wonder if Lego will do anything to improve upon Venom - the mechs sometimes include more detailed minifigures. Personally I'd love for Venom to have a detailed head-shoulder mould like Chewbacca or Azog so he can be bigger than Spider-Man, but I suppose any Venom figure will just be a standard minifig with new printing
Surge Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 this is probably a stretch, but i think the rocket could have misidentified, and is actually another groot. Its the same price as the other groot, and the baby groot inclusion also makes more sense with him. Also I feel a ravager suit for rocket makes the least sense, unless they mean the vol 3 one, which I could see, but I think a third baby groot in the red ravager outfit makes more sense

One is the Benetar, and I believe the other is this one. For people who bought the Bowie lego, the set emulates these with the little pink windscreen ships that disconnect. Ah great thanks, hadn't clocked that. Luckily gotg3 is out tomorrow on Disney+ so I'll have a closer look. You're right to point out the price is the same as the baby Rocket ship. Shouldn't get our hopes up. Hopefully we'll get at least 1 figure we haven't had before.
BrickBob Studpants Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 According to @Brick Clicker, the warbird set is part of the Infinity Saga subtheme, so yeah, no High Evolutionary. Would be a good opportunity for Kraglin though!

JeanGreyForever Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Very happy that X-Men sets have been confirmed. 2024 works with the show rumored to have been postponed to an early 2024 release. With Mr. Sinister being confirmed as the main villain of the season and Jean being pregnant, I wonder if that means we can expect a Cable minifigure as well.

Most of the toys and marketing I've seen for the series doesn't suggest Cable. It'd be great to get him, but he's incredibly low on the list, I believe. Besides the CMF figures, I suspect Magneto is the most likely figure, with others such as Cyclops, Rogue, Gambit, Jean Grey, Jubilee, and Bishop as likely choices.
Lego Nostalgia Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 I'm praying we get a new Deadpool figure in 2024 I mean The movie is gonna be a big success for sure and even though it's rated R I still think there is a chance because it's MCU by Disney and not Fox.
AndrewCole14 Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 (edited) If Rockets Warbird set is confirmed to be Infinity Saga and not Guardians 3 could it just be a remake of the 2014 comic con exclusive set? Edited August 1, 2023 by AndrewCole14

I've seen Bishop in a lot of the new merchandise since he's joined the official cast but no Cable. For Magneto, I'm curious if they'll give us the classic red and purple Magneto or his new look from the show with the big M on his suit.
kevkipo Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Absolutely baffled that this cmf doesn't include Jubilee. Having said that, they all look fantastic, so excited to finally buy some Lego again! :))Moon Knight... what a dream figure.
thebricksbear Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 It's still criminal that we've gotta a thousand Spidey sets and still only the one Iron Spider that's appeared in 4 MCU entries now.

Seriously Gamora has only been in one set for each film (minus Endgame & Vol 3), plus her 'What If this episode released in Season 1' figure For those interested in the data, because after realising that sad fact I definitely was; Star Lord: 9 sets (plus Mighty Micros) Gamora: 3 sets & 1 CMF Drax: 4 sets (including advent calendar) Rocket: 8 sets & 1 comic figure Groot: 5 sets, 2 micro figures & 1 buildable figure Mantis: 4 sets Nebula: 5 sets (including advent calendar) (plus Mighty Micros) 1 hour ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Also, I’m glad I don’t have to eat a Deadpool minifig But that was probably the safest bet I’ve ever taken in my life Don't count your chickens just yet, the film only recently moved up, so if a set was planned, it would've been planned for the second half of the year

It's hilarious that the millions of dollars studios are losing because of putting the projects on hold could be used to pay the writers and actors fairly to end the strike

I’m surprised the leaked X-Mansion had so many pieces, honestly when the leak came out it really only looked like 2000 tops. I just hope we get my favourite X-Men character Gambit. I’m also hoping that with the Green Goblin buildable figure we get a new minifigure version of him with his helmet.
wesker Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 (edited) The X-Jet has me the most excited. Hopefully its a much more substantial build than the 2014 version and we can complete the original team with Jean Grey, Gambit, Rogue and Jubilee. Mr. Sinister appearing in either this or the mansion would also be great. Glad to see we're getting another NWH set and confirmation its coming with the Lizard. He's long overdue. Rocket's Warbird is dependent on who else is included in the set. I'd like to see either a major villain thrown in or a Guardian not included from the previous wave. I don't mind Captain America 4 only getting one set. I'm not expecting an interesting build or too many figures beyond Cap, New Falcon and the two main villains. Edited August 1, 2023 by wesker
Kaijumeister Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 (edited) Wow, that lineup is actually pretty great for the most part! These buildable figures must really be selling if they keep pumping them out at breakneck pace though. With the X-Men Blackbird, I hope the overall build reflects the fantastic quality we’ve seen with the Avengers Quinjets and Guardians of the Galaxy ships (Vol. 3 sets notwithstanding). I can’t believe this is happening! And another NWH set, brilliant! I knew they wouldn’t omit Lizard for no reason after all. I might hold off on the Statue of Liberty set until this releases and then buy both. Glad NWH fans are eating well. My only pet peeve is the continued abundance of more useless Spidey vehicles in place of tie-ins to the currently games and ATSV, but it is what it is. Edited August 1, 2023 by Kaijumeister
