Well everyone is expecting a certain large red character to show up... And the price could justify that... But it'll just be Cap, Falcon and Sabra. No Leader, Red Hulk or Serpent Society

I'm expecting this as well, this year showed especially the importance of severely tempering expectations when it comes to Lego Marvel in recent years. The tonal whiplash is insane, going from this Minifigure series, which is top-notch, quality printing, new molds where new molds are required, (Hawkeye's bow being LONG overdue) to that Capt. Marvel ship with it's atrocious pricing and sparingly used printing.

I also can't believe this ongoing interest in exclusively pumping out Green Goblin / Venom related sets. With Spiderman having arguably the most diverse villain roster. This just reeks of "produce whatever is popular or recognisable" and while I can understand this partly, I feel like you at least need to cater to your adult fans by, for example, including one of these other villains / other characters.

But ey maybe these spiderman sets will include Ben Grimm or something, since apparently he's in that preschool Spiderman show? Holding out hope for the X-jet as well, not big on X-men but it sounds like a nice change of pace. However, I wouldn't be surprised if it just included a Wolverine variant, Storm and Cyclops again.

According to @Brick Clicker, the warbird set is part of the Infinity Saga subtheme, so yeah, no High Evolutionary. Would be a good opportunity for Kraglin though!

To be fair, they’ve also branded keychains of Multiverse of Madness Wanda and the last mech Iron Man,  and the weird new 4+ Hulkbuster under Infinity Saga, so it may not always be actually from Infinity Saga movies

Glad we got the info, it's always a very exciting time! But there's not much to celebrate, if we look in detail: out of 12 sets, 4 are buildable figures, and anyone who doesn't like this format is indifferent (and if it's true that there's a minifigure with Rocket, it's also annoying ).

Mechs have been out there since 2020 now, I'm starting to get tired of this format, also because the minifigures in 2023 weren't great. I'm happy for a new War Machine, but I'm still waiting for Iron Patriot mark 2… We don't know the details of the small Spider-Man sets but 3 Venom isn't too much? Lego returns to give us a thousand identical copies of the character... obviously together with Doc Ock and Goblin... we would need a Venom bigfig variant, not yet another minifigure.

This Rocket's Warbird smells like a rip-off! Like many others, I too would like it to contain the Evolutionary, Ego, Gamora, I would like Lego to take advantage of it to fill some gaps, but I have a terrible feeling that it will contain Rocket and that's it. So another 35 euros for an unexciting minifigure :-P

No way Home and X-Jet are the only really interesting sets, but I wonder what kind of jet can come up with 360 pieces :-/ of course we all hope for a good selection of minifigures, but seeing how Lego is working I'm not so optimistic (The 2014 jet is said to have sold very poorly, let's hope Lego has learned their lesson).

I'm sure Captain America will be delayed, and the set will follow, so I don't really expect to see him in January. And even if it comes out in January, given how Lego is treating MCU sets, I don't expect to see the villains we've all been waiting for. With 50 Euros less than the Hoopty it will probably contain only the new Cap and Falcon :-///

ps. apparently cap4 is scheduled for april, not january :-p

The excitement for the X-Jet was nice while it lasted. Tbh, as long as there's a Cyclops and Jean Grey I'll be happy. I won't buy it at that price to part ratio, but it would be good to finally have the main 4 X-Men readily available.

Green Goblin buildable figure having his Glider is interesting, means the buildable figures may be expanding... hopefully towards the rumored Bionicle reboot in 2025 :purrr: Shall probably wait for the NWH expansion set before getting the NWH sets.

Lots of new stuff, mostly for next year...

  • Piece counts for 2024 sets
  • Release dates for 2024 sets
  • Marvel CMF S2 6-pack added
  • Spider-man 4+ sets added
  • Some slight discrepancies on pricing, unclear if from different locations OR price increase

Appears to be some price increases as these prices are higher than previously reported...

apparently both Lizard and Sandman are brickbuilt.

Only source I can find is this, unsure where you are getting brick-built Lizard from.

Good to see better pics of the CMF. The new hairpieces are great overall the whole series (Echo's braid!). Echo looks like a great figure actually, but I still need how the suit looks like in reality, to better understand it. No Sentinel BAF is a win for me, since Wolverine was not on my plans.

The sets!!!! My attention goes to the X-Jet and the NWH expansion. I feel Cyclops and Magneto are a given, and Jean, Rogue, Bishop and Mr. Sinister are the contenders for the 1-2 remaining spots (But why so little pieces...). I hope they reuse the Electro in the NHW set, such a good figure.

I'm expecting Rocket and OG Groot with Avatar pieces.

The low piece count for the X-Jet is disappointing. One can only hope this is either a Yavin IV situation where the set has a higher minifigure count than usual, there's a big fig included or the jet itself utilizes a lot of large pieces like the City planes do.

I'm surprised we still don't have the individual cmf images in HD. Marvel is really badly managed :-/

but there are some pictures from the Calendar. usual waste of money for 2 unreleased ugly pieces of sweater :-p

Or it is just Hoopty all over again.

Yeah, this year's advent calendar is quite the letdown. I liked the GotG theme last year, but this year it looks like they're just coasting on "general MCU" with recognizable characters.

Oh well, I'm sure kids will like it--and that's what really counts.

71039: Marvel Studios Minifigures Series 2 (Figures) Collect them all to build a Sentinel figure

The last part was debunked. (And thank you for the effort in making an organized list, @Scarilian).

On another note, LEGO could make a Sentinel buildable figure, in this $35 style. It would be a good army builder.

They honestly could include one in the X-Men Jet and have the damaged head from cmf Wolverine as an interchangeable head

Word on the street is Ronan will be included in the Rocket Warbird set

That would be FANTASTIC

If you also build a sentry, only the pieces for a 4+ jet remain.

I also hope that head is an easter egg, and that any new model gets a more accurate head…

Who says it and where?

One leaker drops the list and suddenly we've got set descriptions for most of these? I very much doubt there's any legit info on which figs are in which sets.

Has anyone considered the low piece count for the X-Jet might (MIGHT) be due to the presence of a big-fig? Say, Colossus or Juggernaut?
Pure speculation of course (and probably quite a leap, at that  ), but just a thought that came to me.

Mitch

I might sound like a broken record regarding big figs but I personally think both of those characters would look better as regular minifigs.

I think colossus def would be better as a minifig, but juggernaut would be pretty good as a bigfig

Without precise information we can only build on the most recent experiences, and I'm afraid Hoopty is the Lego model from here on out :-/

(Open Internet, checks piece count of X-Jet)

Excuse me Lego - Seriously? That jet just went from something I was saving for to something I might skip. Nice job, Marvel. Hopefully this is a case like that clone battle back from a few months ago and the retail price is lower than we were once told. But with the Hoopty priced the way it is... I'm not holding out much hope. Hopefully it has an absurd amount of minifigs to make up for that atrocious price.

I have a hunch a retailor catalog of some kind got distributed/leaked, and that's where this info is coming. It makes sense that we would get themes, prices, set numbers, and part counts, but I don't think we'll get much more until later. I personally will take pretty much anything else with a grain of salt - any other descriptors are probably coming from grainy photos inside of said catalogs, and people have been wrong about them before (cough Kang/Goliath cough).

Personally, I’d rather have a really detailed, well-done Blackbird over a bigfig of Juggernaut or Colossus.

I think the most likely case scenario here is the Blackbird uses a bunch of large pieces, which is why the piece count is so low.

I think so too. The last blackbird uses a lot of big pieces as well, if i remember correctly. They might make it smaller like they’re doing more often nowadays. Maybe it needs to be smaller to match the upcoming rumored mansion? And if it’ll almost the same set as last time, those extra pieces went maybe into a better sentinel? I am not too pessimistic about this set. I mean it’s a X-men set!

Same, I'd rather have a UCS X-Men Blackbird rather than an X-Men Mansion also. As for your suggestion, probably accurate, similar to the Hoopty. Though it's still disgusting Lego are charging so much for these.

Well put. Price and quality do feel a bit all over the place. You're definitely right about tempering expectations. Well just have to wait and see what the good value sets are.
