Not a fan of the hair they used for Wolverine. I think the Beast hair would look great on him if it were in black.

edit: Before someone points in out, yes I realize the Beast hairpiece has ears. I just don’t think anyone would really notice if they were black.

Ah I had never noticed the ears before! I agree Wolverines hair is wrong and black version similar to beasts would be cool.

I love the pictures by Lego though. Fun and colourful - love Ant-man’s tiny bed. Beast is certainly my favourite of the series!

As people have said - no Goliath. There’s a premium Kang minifigure hidden away from me - I can feel it. That makes me sad 🙁!

There's a Venomized Goblin funko, the colors don't change, it's the glider that looks like Venom. The character seems somehow "liquid" but it's an effect you can't do with Lego, so I can't imagine... I've been looking for a Venomized Doc Ock but it's not there

I imagine we'd get printing similar to the mud on mudtrooper Han, but it's still a weird choice.

Yeah "Venomized" Green Goblin seems like massive wasted potential when we could have gotten Red Goblin...

100% agree. Venomized Ock at least sounds like a really interesting build, Green Goblin just isn't doing it for me when there are so many other figures we could get.

Excuse me, black glider with ONE (1) white piece

Dang it. Using the glider that has the Grinch’s face on the front as a reference, I’ll go with tiny horn piece in white.

I agree with everyone about Wolverine's hair. It looks really odd and not accurate at all. I'll swap it out for the hairpiece his previous figure used since I thankfully have that.

I've been rewatching X-Men: The Animated Series, and there's a sorta mini-X-Jet that's yellow in color and a single seater which pops up a lot, almost more than the actual X-Jet. I wonder if we might see that as its own separate set or maybe even part of the main X-Jet set instead of a Sentinel or bigfig villain.

I'm not bothered by Wolverine's hair since it's not like I'm ever going to display him without the cowl and I have the old piece. Heck, now that I have so many Wolverines I might as well display one of them without the cowl but it sure isn't going to be this super detailed one.

I really like these promotional images, it's such a fun, wholesome thing that I feel like LEGO doesn’t do enough of anymore.

Most likely it's the same x-jet recently revealed by Hasbro, that's why the low number of pieces.. and probably low number of minifigures :-(

I wonder if lego will have the courage to put Wolverine there too

You can buy two and show both ways

No Way Home set 2 is $35 for 347 pieces

X-Jet is $80 for 359 pieces

Yeah but what if it's actually huge and uses a bunch of City plane parts like the huge wings just pointing backwards, large fins and several large hull pieces? PPP means nothing. Also there could be a bigfig in there too. Does it look rough on paper? Sure but let's not grab the pitchforks until we see what parts are included in that count.

We've been over this. The Hoopty's piece count is what the designers were smoking when they came up with the idea of making the set $90. I hope it's inevitable crash and burn will get lego to NOT make the X-jet $80, because the X-men sets need to come out swinging if we're ever gonna have a chance of getting more comic/97 styled ones.

For that price, it better have some really amazing features, or at least come with a bunch of really really very much wanted minifigs.

The Hasbro X-jet looks pretty puny.

I did not understand, the translation is not good. Can you explain me better please?

For that price it might as well fly for real

He's saying he hopes that when the Hoopty set doesn't sell, Lego will understand we're not willing to pay extremely overpriced sets, and will make the X-jet set cheaper.

The Rivendell and Bugle were all expensive but the size and features justified the price. The Xjet better be amazing.

-the Hoopty's piece count, 420, is a number that- at least in america- is often used as a reference to the drug marijuana. I was joking that the designers must have been smoking that drug to make a set like that at a $90 price point.

-I am hoping that the Hoopty sells poorly enough that lego will be convinced not to make the X-jet $80, because that is grossly overpriced.

Yes.

Also, and unrelated, it's suspicious to me that in this era of lego being so controversy-averse, they're fine making a set 420 pieces.

haha I didn't know about this :-)

Sta dicendo che spera che quando il set Hoopty non venderà, Lego capirà che non siamo disposti a pagare set estremamente costosi e renderà il set X-jet più economico.

Hoopty could have been an exception, but given the 2024 prices I'm afraid it could be the new normal. Even harry potter seems to have the same problem

What are the Marvel team actually smoking to have this theme be dominated by buildable figures and extremely overpriced system sets?

When the set list was first revealed last week, my mind immediately jumped to the 2019 Ultimate Quinjet, 2021 Benatar, and 2023 Quinjet as setting a precedent for the type of the model the X-Jet could be (super displayable with ample interior and swooshability). It’s beyond a joke.

I sincerely hope the Lizard being a buildable element in the NWH expansion set isn’t true. Given the details we’ve received so far, I’m envisaging something like the 2019 Molten Man set but with a buildable Sandman in its place, along with Electro, inside-out Spidey, and Lizard minifigures.

On a less whiny side - I saw the NWH set built at a Lego store today and was positively surprised at how good it looks in person in terms of build and minifigures. I’ll be waiting another 4 months to buy this with the second NWH set, but kudos to the set designers for what will hopefully be an all-time best seller for this year.

Some leaker (can't remember if from IG or Reddit) mentioned that Lego plans on producing all the 'main cast' characters of x-Men 97 between the two sets.

I'm guessing Wolverine and Beast will be repeats in the X-Mansion, and Storm perhaps on the X-Jet?

No idea how legitimate mtdbricks is as a source but apparently Ronan will be using the Emperor's new hood piece in Rocket's Warbird instead of his old movie accurate one. Definitely a downgrade from the previous figure but not surprising given that the original mold has been out of production for almost a decade.

Hopefully that's true. I can live with the low piece count of the X-Jet if it means getting the complete cast of characters.

I have no issues with repeats of Wolverine, Storm and Beast either. If anything it would be unfair to lock those characters behind blind boxes while everyone else is easily obtainable.

I’m already expecting Lego to be re-using the exact same X-Men minifigs from the CMFs to other sets. There was already a precedent when they repurposed Tiana from the Disney CMF to the castle.
