For that matter, you should have made at least one of your posts remotely believable. After that Black Panther bust last year, a $300 Batman diorama sounds like something Lego would do. As for the X-Mansion, people ask for one on this board at least once per year. It's the only Ideas/Cuusoo Superhero project to reach 10K and not get made in some form. And we have the X-Men 97 cartoon coming out this year they could tie it into. There's at least a remote possibility it could happen. It's got a better chance of selling than some of the other things Lego has released lately. Edited January 29, 2023 by psqidexslizer

Meaf Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Of all the "leaks" that have been posted today this one is by far the most unbelievable. I just really struggle to believe that we are going to see any substantial X-Men representation in Lego prior to their MCU debut.

Indeed. Even with the upcoming continuation of the animated show, I doubt they’d tackle the team before they are firmly established in the MCU. A small set here or there is plausible, but a big D2C set can safely be ruled out for now
Legocentrico Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 In my opinion, the possibility that some sets accompany the animated series exists. I don't think last year's Wolverine is accidental, plus, the x-men are about to enter the MCU and it's normal to put the spotlight on the franchise. Other than that, I'm sure this guy is a clown and not to be taken seriously. I hope Promobricks will shed some light on this matter soon

Even with the upcoming continuation of the animated show, I doubt they’d tackle the team before they are firmly established in the MCU. A small set here or there is plausible, but a big D2C set can safely be ruled out for now I'd argue the exact opposite. D2C sets are typically aimed at an older audience. The Keaton Batman films, Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, the original Jurassic Park films are all properties adults are more familiar with than kids, which is why we got, or are getting, D2C's instead of smaller playsets for those. The X-Men are the exact same case. Adults grew up with the 90's cartoon series, the Fox films, the other cartoon series, etc with while kids today are growing up with The Avengers. So, just from that standpoint, it'd make more sense to release a big X-Men display piece instead of Wolverine's sand buggy, Storm's mech, and Magneto's sailboat of doom. But, with that said, we're pretty poor predictors of what Lego will do. Most of us thought they would have capitalized on NWH by now. Most of us thought they'd release a modular Avengers Tower before a Black Panther bust. We all thought that new Thanos mold two years back would have seen some sort of reuse. Personally, I would have thought they'd try to capitalize on Teen Titans Go since it's been on for close to 10 years, is aimed at kids, and had a theatrical film release. But, nope. Lego will continue to surprise us for better or worse.

steveholt Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 At this point until I see a part leak, from a credible leaker/source.......... just grains of salt, lots and lots of salt

It's fake. This guy suddenly decided to post the most random rumours in half the 2023 threads. They're all fake.

This is a nice idea and has lots of potential. It would be great to see a modular building that fits in with the sanctum and bugle but isn’t necessarily an iconic location. Just a new york modular with marvel easter eggs. There is loads of potential for floors/rooms/features Sharwarma restaurant Kate bishops apartment Spidermans apartment Nelson and Murdoch office Jessica Jones office Luke Cages bar The alleyway the avengers land in during the time heist. Loads of scope for new figures and easter eggs. It would appeal to modular and marvel fans alike. Disclaimer - I know this is unlikely to happen and I know all of the above wouldn’t be possible in a single set.
LegendaryArticuno Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 We need a UCS Sentinel. Give it some modular features like swappable battle damage or weapons, and lots of port holes to stick those transparent clear rods similar to the Sanctum.

Mattallica Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 that sentinel is impressive but WAY to big

Mattallica Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) i think more like the classic progression of man yeah optimus size would work well and could be doable by Lego Edited January 30, 2023 by Mattallica
Legocentrico Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I'd like a huge sentry, but I'd prefer not too much, so I can buy multiples
LegendaryArticuno Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 1 hour ago, Mattallica said: that sentinel is impressive but WAY to big Yeah smaller scale than the video would be better, that was the only video I could find on an attempt at a UCS Sentinel.
Scarilian Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) I think people are seriously over-estimating the popularity of X-Men and X-Men Lego. While it was popular a while ago, Lego seems to have lost faith in the popularity of the X-Men as we've went from Magneto showing up to only really seeing Wolverine occasionally. I have zero expectations of any X-Men sets until around 2024 at the absolute earliest as they have Deadpool 3 to bring them back into focus and the animated series will have had time to be absorbed by people. If we were getting a Sentinel as a standalone set it'd probably be the same scale as the buildable Spider-man or Miles Morales figures. They'd definitely want to focus on playability and it'd be a rough scale with minfigures. I think even the design of the Sentinel lends itself to that building style. I would argue that Lego X-Men wasn't popular because of the franchise or X-Men not being as popular, but because Lego only ever designed trash, low quality, and uninteresting sets for X-Men. Your solution to this problem is... to make even more trash and poorly designed sets which buildable figures are notorious for. You don't fix an issue by making it even worse.
GoldenNinja3000 Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 I always look at people trashing the Blackbird set from 2014 and cry a little because that's one of my favorite Marvel sets ever! It had plenty of usable interior space, accessory storage, good play features, and great exclusive minifigures. I didn't love the Sentinel build but the ship itself is a near-perfect toy for that scale. A UCS-style Sentinel would be interesting but I'd definitely prefer Galactus first. Honestly, I'd just kill for more large-scale buildable figures done in the same style as Giant Man or the Harry and Hermione set from 2021.

We got a whole wave on the video game in 2020, two sets for What if (besides cmfs) in 2021. I don't know why but I have a feeling this new cartoon is something Lego would cover… alternatively what could we have? Infinity saga, no way home, or random things like last year…
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 The Adam Warlock minifig has leaked in the usual place!
