The whole point of modular buildings is they connect together. The X-Mansion is all off by itself in the middle of nowhere. edit: same argument goes for Arkham Asylum since I see that being brought up all the time as a possible modular building. Lego doesnt care about where its located. Most fans probably wouldnt either. Even if they did, this whole conversation is based on yhe assumption that Lego will create more Marvel modulars, which they have no obligation to do. I guarantee modular collectors would dive for an Xmansion even if it isnt modular.

X-Mansion is not one of them because it doesn’t make sense to connect it to other buildings and would make more sense as a stand-alone building like Rivendell.

I'm sure it must be their best selling sets out of all the Marvel sets but part of me is worried that after the AT it'll be over because what else could sell as well as the first three? Don't underestimate the ability to keep a set going for as long as it sells, and then remake it shortly after it retires, so there is a new version to get. But there are some good suggestions through this thread.
hikouki Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Someone posted on IG that X-jet will be the jet + 4 minifigs, no sentinel. If true, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being way overpriced for the piece count, as many have already pointed out.

No. He's what Comic-Con figures should have been: A fun and interesting figure idea that isn't a super desirable character/outfit like PS4 spidey, Arrow's green arrow, TASM spider-man, etc were.

At least the focus will be solely on the jet and not wasting parts on a pointless side build. I stand by that the Sentinel needs to be its own separate set. They're supposed to be huge towering robots and the tiny mech we got in 2014 did not do it justice at all.

For reference, the previous X-Jet set was 336 pieces (which does include the Sentinel), and this one has 359. And the old one had some decent interior space, so fingers crossed it'll be similar in scale

For reference, this past year we got a Quinjet with twice the piece count and five minifigures, two with leg printing and one with arm printing, for $20 more than the X-Jet is going to be. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for good minifigures in a set that’s $20 less with half the pieces and 1 less minifigure. edit: We might end up with another Hoopty situation, but I can still hope we get a decent or even great set here. I mean, of course I am. That's the main reason I wanted the fig. My excitement was just dampened by Goliath. Further update: Saw some in Sainsbury's on my lunch break and got Wolverine and the other Hawkeye. Another update: Went shopping after work and walked past the CMFs in Asda and they've been raided. What was left was just a bunch of partially opened boxes. That didn't take long. Even worse I got a second Goliath. Edited August 24, 2023 by SEmrys

Agent Kallus Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Hopefully one of the X-Men included has a vaguely generic X-man outfit, so multiples can be used to Purist other X-Men, and then hopefully said X-man will appear in the magazine, I mean the marvel magazine is probably the worst in terms of interesting characters I want (JP one would be except I like lots of little dinos), it feels like every other issue I see is Venom, and I already have the Bugle and multiple of the one from the nick fury car set. (DC magazine is also quite repetitive but I'm more interested in different batsuits than any other superhero's outfits, also we can't really blame them cause there ain't material for them to pull from)

TheJackBricks Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Not sure if this has already been said / theorized, but is it possible that the inclusion of Wolverine, Storm, and Beast in the CMF was to have different figs in the set? I was expecting Wolverine/Storm to be in the X-Jet, but it makes sense. They wouldn't have to have less quality printing (for obvious reasons) and could spread some love to other X-Men. I think Professor X, Cyclops and Jean are pretty safe bets if this is the case, maybe Rogue too?

I think our best bet for Prof X is the X-Mansion, since he typically doesn’t go out on missions and wouldn’t be all that interesting of a minifigure. My guess for the X-Jet is Jean Grey, Cyclops, Wolverine, and Mister Sinister. Three of the four (arguably) most recognizable X-Men and what appears to be the main villain for the series. Although, I could also see them using Magneto in place of either Jean or Cyclops (Wolverine is mandatory). Edited August 26, 2023 by psqidexslizer

I don't believe that's done often, in which case you might be on to something (though they could of course reuse wolvie from 2022)

I believe the closest we've gotten to a re-used CMF print is the Scarlet Witch character, however they changed the dual-molded arms and leg printing. Not sure about outside licensed themes tho
wesker Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Lego reusing elements from CMF figures has happened more than you'd think. Sometimes it will just be a single print such as a head or torso. Other times it's an entire minifigure that's either completely unchanged or only receives minor alterations such as a new facial expression. The main examples I can think of include: Head prints for Aquaman, Scarlet Witch and Wonder Woman Series 22 Bard in the Lion Knights Castle (only the legs remain exclusive to the CMF) Dobby in Privet Drive (only the face print was changed) Series 8 Santa in multiple Advent Calenders and the Winter Village Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Krusty in the Simpsons and Lego Dimensions sets Donald Duck in the 2016 Disney Castle Princess Tiana in the 2023 Disney Castle Dick Grayson and Arkham Joker in The Lego Batman Movie There could be more beyond that. I believe a few early CMF figures like the Wicked Witch and Statue of Liberty were also reused in some Lego store exclusive products.
