I'm glad no one's actually mad. the DC theme has been largely dead for years, so it's incredible that we're finally getting a new wave.

GoldenNinja3000 Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 I like the Adam Warlock figure! I'm glad it's so detailed. Arm printing would've made it perfect but I think the bigger issue is how gold the torso is. The movie arms seem to be a mix of red and gold and since he'll have a red cape in the movie, I think LEGO should've just made the arms solid red instead of solid gold. And he should have gold hands instead of red ones. I might try to make that change when I get the figure but I love it overall!

BrickBob Studpants Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Excellent Fingers crossed the other GotG sets get revealed soon too
AndrewCole14 Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Star-Lord helmet looks fantastic genuinely tempted to buy this one!
Huigberts Builds Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 I know the helmet is accurate, but it somehow looks odd to me without the hair sticking out xD. It looks very clean though, I absolutely love the eyes and mouth/nose thingy.
BrickBob Studpants Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) In the lifestyle images, they suggest using it as a pencil holder So that’s what they meant when they said DOTS (or the concept at least) would live on And if you really hate Star-Lord, you can use it as a toilet brush holder! Edited February 1, 2023 by BrickBob Studpants
Clone OPatra Posted February 1, 2023 Author Posted February 1, 2023 It's Star-Lord's helmet to match the helmet line but this one happens to be a pen, pencil and scissors holder? What the absolute heck? And why is this one more expensive than Star Wars helmets - a whopping suggested $130 AUD!? Get out of town for that price. The Marvel team is really taking some weird swings lately. At least the helmet itself looks great, but yeah, hair would be better even if that would connote a severed head.
LegendaryArticuno Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) Adam Warlock minifig looks great, hope the set he comes with is good. Starlord face mask looks incomplete withour hair, good thing I'm not a fan of any Lego helmets. Wouldn't buy it even if it was good. Also storing scissors, pens, etc is going to damage the pieces really easy, make sure you put a cup inside. Edited February 1, 2023 by LegendaryArticuno
Legocentrico Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) It costs more precisely for the double function :-D However it is beautiful! I'm glad they didn't wear hair Edited February 1, 2023 by Legocentrico
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 The helmet itself is beautifully built, I love it. It does feel really incomplete without the hair tho. It's not an actual part of the helmet, but something's off without it. It also probably looks ugly inside.
AstroFalcon Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 The Marvel busts didn't really appeal to me up to this point, but Star-Lord's helmet looks spot on. I may pick this one up whenever it gets reduced.
Scarilian Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 I know the MCU mask generally does not have an upper segment, but it feels really incomplete without it as we are seeing the inner design of the lego and exposed understuds. The advert showing it as a pen/scissors holder is silly, cannot wait for someone to have a pen leak or to scratch the inside of their mask with scissors, not that I have much faith that the interior will look that good anyway. It feels like Lego trying to justify why it has a hole in the top. I really feel Lego has no idea who the target audience for these masks really is. The eyes are weird, makes me think perhaps they'd intend to re-use them and the hopefully printed mouthguard elsewhere. Still leaning towards the other helmet being Ant-Man or Spider-man. Some leakers also commenting on the remarks about an X-Men Mansion, at the moment still nothing confirming its existence, but going to add it to rumours. I've seen people on other sites claiming to be leakers, unsupported, relaying information that was posted here. I view it as a rumour if it starts getting enough traction and/or is reported by a source as a rumour (Such as the rumored Ant-Man mech from last year). If someone stumbles upon this thread my hope is the list can inform them as to what is rumored and what has some level of backing - the X-Men Mansion being a rumour at this time. PGBQW Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Finally a bust that looks good! Why do you guys want the hair on the top? It would look like you're displaying Star Lord's severed head, which is most likely why they decided not to include it.
kevkipo Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Any idea on when we'll get more info on the CMF? If it follows suit it should release in September once again right?
CodFather1 Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 On 1/29/2023 at 12:43 PM, JeanGreyForever said: X-Men fans can rejoice because there appears to be an X-Mansion set in the works. I've managed to get a look at it and although I can't post the picture of the exterior that I've seen, I'll describe it here. The set itself is the X-Mansion and features a gate as well. I can only see the exterior so I have no idea what the interior looks like except from the small bits I can see through the open doors and windows. The Mansion is two-levels and does not feature a subbasement with a Danger Room or Cerebro or anything like that. This set seems to be focusing on the residential and academic parts of the mansion. The two levels are mostly tan with some dark tan elements as well whereas the foundation is dark gray and the roof dark gray and light gray. The roof does not feature many details as of now. The first level has dark green foliage growing on it while the second level has a balcony in the middle with a door to access it from the interior. There are 9 minifigures shown but the description of the set only specifically mentions 7 of them plus "many more," so it's possible there are more than 9 minifigures. The ones shown are preliminary designs for Professor X, Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Magneto, Mystique, Sabretooth, and the White Queen. Professor X is in his black suit but it doesn't look like he's in a wheelchair but his hoverchair from the 90s. Only the hoverchair is colored gray and dark gray right now. Wolverine and Storm are taken straight from the previous Sentinel set including Storm's lightning blasts. Cyclops's design is new because he's wearing his 90s costume except it's not bright blue but a dark navy blue. Beast looks just like how he did in the Marvel Lego Super Heroes game except he's wearing a white labcoat. Magneto is the same as his previous minifigure except he's missing his purple belt/trunks. Mystique is just a blank blue body and faceless head with the red widow's peak hairpiece so she looks like her movie version. I doubt her final version will be based off of the movie version. Sabretooth is just the Wolverine minifigure from the Deadpool helicopter set but with a blonde hairpiece. The set is 3122 pieces and is priced to be likely around $300 with a height of 10 inches/25 cm, a width of 21 inches/53 cm, and 7 inches/17 cm deep. 32 minutes ago, Legocentrico said: Leakers on x-mansion?? JeanGreyForever apparently got access to a survey or something that showed a bunch of expensive sets on it from Disney, Harry Potter, DC and the like. They saw one for Marvel that was apparently the X-mansion. People are rightfully skeptical, but a Malificent dragon diorama marked with lego's standard confidential marking just leaked in the usual place, and that was one of the sets they apparently saw. If you look at their recent history you can see what they have allegedly leaked. While it is advisable to be cautious with this information, I genuinely do believe this information may be true.
ToaDraco Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) The Starlord mask looks great but $10 more than the Star Wars helmets and it's completely hollow, is LEGO insane!?! There's absolutely no way I would ever buy this at retail price, $70 is already absurd for the Star Wars helmets and they're at least complete helmets with mostly solid cores.
