Hope the big omissions of Quicksilver and Ultron means a Sokovia final battle set in our future

Maybe as a diorama (like the Endgame and NWH battle sets)? We already have AoU Cap and Nat (from this set), so it is odd that they were not included in the Tower. 🤔

In lieu of the NWH spoiler sets im praying we get an Illumnati set from MoM, with all the members, maybe a diorama idec abt the build lol

Quantumania also really needs a set, specifically for Antman, Wasp, Stature, and Kang

That would super cool but since Majors is currently wiped from Quantumania marketing I dont see it happening. Wasp in the Avengers tower is basically the nail in the coffin

I swear this has come up every month since that film's release. I'm going to now repost my thoughts on it as if it hasn't happened over and over again.

-Yes, this could be a cool way to get Black Bolt and Mr. Fantastic, alongside a cheaper Prof X since this wouldn't be nearly as expensive as the mansion

-This is really unlikely. The build would be random rubble/chairs, which is only suited to a diorama. We aren't getting a diorama of a single scene from a poorly-received movie from a couple years back because it had a couple figs people want.

-This is not a comparable situation to NWH, one of the biggest films of all time, where all the villains and the two biggest cameos in movie history (are they even cameos, they're basically supporting roles) had yet to be made in sets, and the final battle was an interesting location/build to be represented in lego form.

I'm restraining myself from talking in greater detail and with specific examples about how despicable I find hollywood's inconsistent standards when it comes to firing people for moral/legal reasons (I also want to clarify I am on the side of "if you beat your girlfriend you should be fired from your movie franchise"), but I'm just going to say that a comic-based Kang figure would make everybody happy here. Something like:

Spider-Man- Edge of Time ($49.99): Kang's time machine and some futuristic attack drones in his colors. Comes with Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Arachknight, Web-Slinger, and Kang the Conqueror.

Exactly. The big secrecy behind Endgame and NWH, and the fact they were both top 10 highest grossing of all time guaranteed future spoiler sets, but the same definitely doesn't apply to surprise cameos in regular films

LEGOs budget would be much better put towards covering missing characters from the Infinity Saga that have more importance than Silent Bob, Jim's Spaghetti and Tom Cruise's Maria Rambeau

Trade Arachknight for a Venomized Web Slinger with a Venomized Widow, and it's a day 1 for me

That would be great, I'd buy it.

Under the landing pad seems to be a new structural mould to stop the whole cantilever problem people like me have had to get around with MOCS
The Entire landing platform acts as a brick seperator for the top floors of the tower when weight is on it So it straight up needs support throughout the whole of the floor. The Quinjet size will also reflects this not just the budget.
The landing deck already is impossible with IRL physics so its no surprise they went the avenue of a new part.

I completely understand the physics that led us to get such a small Quinjet, especially since they added the function for the landing platform to go in. I just wish somehow it could be done because it would be so cool to have the new $100 Quinjet land on the pad. Would have been so cool.

Getting updated 2012 Avengers Hawkeye and Hulk feels amazing. Unpopular opinion but the new Vision looks dope. Love the new face print and someone said this variant is of him still downloading? it's interesting how after all these years our last regular MCU Vision was in 2018, with the 2016 version remaining exclusive. I kind of wish they added the Ultron variant with his top and bottom face moulds. With both that Ultron and OG Vision being exclusive to that 2015 Quinjet, that set has aged exquisitely and I had honestly hoped we would have gotten that version of Ultron in addition to or in place of the variant we got. The no strings version is fun, but with a set like this I was hoping we would get the big boss Ultron variant.

Wasp looks amazing with the helmet and wings but we really needed arm and leg printing. It would have been so simple too it was just the yellow and red stripes its nothing major. I would even say Falcon looks off putting with the solid grey arms. I truly wish he had the dual molding to be accurate. Iron Man with no arm printing is expected yet he still looks funky to me after all these years. Not every figure needs arm printing but its awkward seeing when they do need it and it's left out. Aside from the underwhelming figure detailing I love this build. Also yes it an easy fix that Cap never gets his boots but given how easy of a fix it is would it kill them to just give him dual molded legs?

the mini builds in the chariot, Quinet, and Leviathan feel appropriately scaled with the tower but its all obviously not to scale seeing as that would be impossible to produce for a commercially available set. I think the ability to recreate so many scenes, namely the Loki arrest escape scene from 2012, is so exciting.

Amazing set even if the Quinjet landing pad is not what I wish it was. This was such an exciting announcement, I'm dreaming of the day we eventually get a classic Avengers Mansion, or an Endgame $300-$400 Avenger s Compound (with Black Widow bearing a red version of Elsa's braid!).

I think that Autumn’s hair (from Friends) would actually work for Jean.

Not to be annoying but did you mean to say Paisleys hair? Auburn has a messy braid peice which I personally do not like. Paisley does have a long red wavy piece, which does look good. I think Paisley's hair is reminiscent of Violet from the Incredibles as it has that "emo" element to it, with the bangs in the front of her eye. I wonder how it would look on a figure, I tend to think Lego needs to invest in a "straight loose hair" piece that isn't emo like Paisleys or wavey like the 2012 Black Widow piece. I always loved the hair moulded for Vicky from friends and think that should be the go to "pretty girl straight hair" piece. In red, I think it would look gorgeous and not only work for Jean Grey when her hair is down, but for a comic accurate Black Widow as well.

We are getting closer to the release of The Marvels, I hope we are all still here to measure the public's love for this franchise :-) and perhaps understand why Lego chose this absurd price

I'm pretty sure Disney doesn't charge LEGO over every set. They have deals for certain time periods.

Seeing that the Hottoys Insomniac Venom is almost as big as the Hulkbuster suddenly makes me very curious and excited about the 2024 Venom mech…

Disney/Marvel will take a % royalty for each set that gets made. Its entirely possible that Disney/Marvel said to LEGO "for this set we want a higher royalty"

To make some sort of a profit, they must not anticipate any revenue from the movie itself :pir-grin:

Do you really mean that? That it would be cool to get Black Bolt from the hit TV show The Inhumans?

So no diorama from the horrendous Fantastic 4 movies then? Bummer!

I'm going to be honest chief, I thought the movie came out months ago

It'd be cool to get Black Bolt, the guy who can blow up the moon by shouting. His relevance to the hit show The Inhumans, a certified part of the MorbCU, is purely coincidental.

I've seen so many ads for this movie that hearing "Carol Danvers, the galaxy's prodigal star child" or whatever is just white noise to me. The advertising is honesty working against it, I have gone from "I simply do not care." to "If I see one more trailer for this thing I'm carpet-bombing the universe"

I thought the same for a moment, but then what's the excuse for the X-Jet being the same price

There is ads for the Marvels movie?!

I did get the, super expensive The Hoopty set. But, I would like to see a, not cents/piece, but cost/weight, or is it weight/cost? too. Sorry, tired.

Some sets might consists of mostly small parts, while others might have many big parts.

Plate 1x1 3024 vs  Cylinder Quarter 4 x 4 x 3 4041, for example. If looking at LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower, pieces.

I meant Autumn’s. Autumn has a ponytail with a messy top part that looks more like Jean’s animated hair than any other part that I can think of; obviously, it would need to be recoloured, though!

Finally got around to taking a look at the Avengers Tower and I gotta say it does look really good. I doubt I'll be getting it, but as a set piece I am sure it's going to look quite good. I definitely can see why people are unhappy with the minifigures, but aside from that this looks great. It does make me a little sad that other Marvel sets are so mediocre though. I get that this is D2C so it has a way higher budget, but it's still kind of disappointing. I used to be way more into the Marvel sets, but between that and the MCU being pretty mid lately I have not picked up many of them.

Just out of curiosity, where are you seeing these ads? I have had the exact opposite experience in that I literally didn't know when the movie was coming out until I saw a poster for it at a movie theater three days ago. Maybe the ad overlords have just pegged me as not being interested already, but I have gotten ads for other Marvel (and Disney) stuff relatively recently so I am not sure what's different for me here.

Agree to disagree in that case. I would just use a standard ponytail piece, I find Auburns to be too short in the back, plus its braided and not a loose ponytail. If anything we could get a new mould for Jean if she we’re to hypothetically show up, but given she didn’t show up at all we may never know. Jk hopefully Lego releases her soon. And with variants! I want 90s Jean Grey, Marvel Girl, Phoenix, Dark Phoenix, etc.

Praying for the day Lego finally gives us wide released versions of Jean and Jessica. DC got Green Arrow and Shazam, when will Marvel get around to producing wide released variants for those SDCC exclusives? Its a shame. Plus 90s Jean wouldn’t have even been the same costume as the Phoenix.

A new mould would obviously be ideal, but I think that Autumn's hair would look better than the standard ponytail (which is even shorter!). Agreed to disagree as you said, I suppose.

This is literally the only thing that LEGO DC has over LEGO Marvel! 😬

Youtube. All over youtube. I can't play a video without hearing about the galaxy's star child or whatever line Nick Fury says

DC gets sets based off movies besides the current universe.

Now if only it was more than 3-5 a year... and if they weren't the only sets produced each year...

And we have gotten more than 1 Shazam and Green Arrow since then. Imagine not only getting an updated Phoenix, but Dark Phoenix, Marvel Girl and 60’s Jean Grey as well. My dream is to be able to display and photograph comic based figures through the decades. We are obviously very far behind as we have never gotten OG 60’s X Men, a set with the original Avengers (seriously how have we not gotten comic based Ant Man and Wasp or a classic comic based Loki?). We also would do well getting the Giant Sized X Men, the 90’s X Men, Marvels first family, comic based Dr Strange etc before giving us modern variants. But yeah call me crazy but I’m hopeful we will cover some decent ground in the coming years.

I don’t think that Shazam with/without a hood should really count as two different minifigures.

Also want to add that I’m disappointed by the lack of comic based Marvel figures. DC has been much better in that regard. But, to be fair, The Avengers are probably better known for their movies than their comics, while DC is better known for their cartoons and comics than their movies.
